Mommy friend, Cathy loves to put all the special dates on her calendar and  she had on September 23 as Gotcha Day.  She ask mommy if she was to celebrate it.  Mommy thought, hmmmm,  hmmm, it be a nice day to celebrate but for now, it is something I do not understand.  However, mommy is one to love to  celebrate very special days, with  special meaning and Gotcha was when mommy was formally and legally my mommy on paper and by the court system.

Mommy thought for now, she was to give me extra big hug and say,  “Gotcha.”  She just calls it a special day or special special hug, all our own.   I love hugs, no matter what day.

Mommy thought to take pics of me with my special plushie I got on that day from the judges office.  She chose the one that was original and  one of a kind and cute and cuddly………………. a  big green frog, but I call it “Broccoli.”   That makes it for a very special plushie,  since it is a frog to mommy and it is a broccoli to me!

Ps, I am now five years old, so it is Gotcha day 5, but  mommy only started making it special on this year with the  special “Gotcha Hug.”

For a day when mommy and papa had to go to  Washington DC area, papa drove to  Great Falls, on the Virginia side.  He said, it was the better side, than Maryland.  Mommy and me would not have known the difference, because both of us never been there before.  Papa was there when he was a kid, so he remembered.

Mommy loves the beautiful water.  We also saw three guys and  their boats having fun, travelling down the fall.  It is dangerous and mommy made sure,  I was fully supervised.

I had fun swimming for an hour just before the Jester club movie by the pool.   I love to swim…. float, since I really do not know how to swim.  Mommy brought my swim suit so I could play in the kiddie pool but  decided I needed my  floater and  a  paddle board.  She  drove home again and fast got  the other swim gear.   I  immediately jumped into the pool and started to  float around.  Mommy showed me how to hold the board and told me to  hang on to it.  It floated away  a couple of times, but I got it back!!!!!!!!!

It has been a long time since saying hi and  keeping my fans and family up to date with my progress.   There is gonna be a lot of catching up to do…thank goodness mommy can help me, since I am now in school all day, seven hours, five days a week…big step for a  five year old….but I am a  big kid now!!!

I started French school,  AIS, Austin International  School in August 2012.  Mommy and papa chose the  AIS, French school, instead of Magellan, the Spanish school.  The Spanish school is good  but  they did not seem as friendly a place to learn at,  It was so friendly at the French School and it is super cool,  one of the assistants is  Papa co worker’s wife.  She is very nice!!!   They teach French at AIS, but they teach Spanish too, so I was gonna get  to be bi lingual all in one school.  Mommy talks some  Cantonese with me, so mommy hopes I will be tri lingual.

Enjoy the pics mommy took of me along the way for the first week of school.  There are no more naps and   mommy has to make my lunch daily and two smacks!!!  ….mommy  calls them snacks!!!

yes, now and then my letter  c goes backwards!!   it is sure a long ways since a year ago and I could not write my name.. I  know how to read a little,  add and subtract and know all the abc sounds….mommy even taught me the abc in French!!  I learn quickly!!!

I am almost five years old and I had the greatest fun on this July  fourth holiday.  I was  in the parade in my neighborhood.  Mommy had great plans for this day and I was to get to drive or push my fave car coupe.  I used to love riding or pushing this kid car on the driveway in California  because it was fun and easy and safe and loud!!!  I do not get to do this much anymore because it is so hot in Texas and the back yard is  not where I get to play in much…[too hot, bugs, lawn that does not make the car go fast, and no patio].

I got my fave car  ready to go and my special 4th of July t shirt and was ready to walk in the parade.  There was lots of kids and bikes and dogs  and adults.  It started at 9 30 in the morning and we walked around one big block and back to the playground park where we started.

We even took the kaley corgi, but she was so hyper around the other dogs.  She is weird.  Papa thought she would not like being around kids, but  that is only when they try to touch her. She was so mean acting when she saw the other dogs.  Oddly, in dog agility with so many dogs all around her, she  does not make a big scene. On the walk, papa walked the dog back home.

After the parade walk, I had fun playing games and earned stickers and small fun prizes, a eraser, a red white and blue small football, mardi gras necklaces [ I love those lots!!!].

After the games, I got to go to the playground and play like a normal kid. It was a fun few hours and then mommy had to get home, out of the hot Texas heat!!!

Mommy has next year  plans for the parade if we are still in this neighborhood….maybe the red wagon and the two tortoise can come for show and tell  with red white and blue stars on their back, and  I can decorate the  wagon with flags…..???

It has been a long time since I wrote, huh???? Been busy…  am a busy kid, you know…a  busy four year old that is quickly gonna turn five yrs!!!  ….and it is  not easy for mommy to help do the blogs when she is always  working with me on school work books etc…….I do keep her super busy!!!!!!!!

Anyways,  father’s day, papa day,  mum and kc, aka kaley corgi were doing the agility thing.  Of course I go and  papa drives, so that means we all go……we are a tight family!!!   As long as papa and I have our Ipads etc, we do pretty good!!!

Anyways,   it was papa day on day of agility, but mum and  I remember to make papa feel super  great papa day.  I  made him a  pic and  wrote the words myself and surprised papa when he woke from a  very needed nap when he drove us all home safely Sunday, after agility.  He also got  peanut butter cookies and candy…he and I love  food treats and since it is papa day and my gift to him, he shares with me!!!!!

It says, ACAR…it really says,  A  Car!!!… I love drawing cars!!!!!!!!!!!  I made those hearts too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We live right by the creek,  Bull Creek Falls, and it is purrty.   It is  nice water that is like a water fall and cold.  It is also slippery on the rocks and mommy scared I will fall in.  We went at  ten in the morning because mommy and papa hate it when it is hot.  It has been high ninety and hundred degrees lately………Texas summer!!!

This was the secret passage way to get to the water.

I spotted a playground….but I was wrong.  It was  a very nice park, and there were lots of peacocks…………….in the tree!  I had fun wandering out in the fresh air one Texas afternoon.

I was invited to a birthday party.  There was lots to do and see, the slide, the unicorn pony, pony ride, magician and piñata.   I would not ride the pony, but I was okay to get paint on my hand and ‘paint’ the pony.

I love piñatas and collecting all goodies.

Every first Saturday at home depot they have a kids workshop and I got to attend one for the first time.  This weekends workshop was to make an organizer box, wood, and nails and paint!  Papa helped me hammer, and mommy helped with the glue and paint.  I got my own  Home Depot apron and my first pin that says, I completed the  workshop.  I had the most funniest time!
