I stumbled upon MoveNat through begin 2 dig, a wonderful blog that I have been following ever since I have decided that I want to lose fat (not necessarily weight since I might gain muscle mass in the process) and get in better fitness shape for health and to be able to do all the fun outdoor activities that Jeremy and I want to try out, learn and get better at.

We tried P90X for one week and was not able to follow through, a few different diets and could not follow through either. But so far, we have been able to visit the local YMCA (BTW, thanks to Jeremy’s research, it is the best nation-wide -- even internationally -- gym membership for us full time RVers!) regularly to do cardio, weight training and swimming. The YMCAs that we visit here in Hilliard and Powell, Ohio also have kick ass showers and hot tubs for us to use… For $72.59/month per two(2) adults/couple – Two adults, sharing the same residence married, engaged or defining themselves as mutual, significant others), we can visit any of the YMCA in the Central Ohio area and there is NO joiner’s fee, NO hidden fees and NO long term contracts! More of this topic in another blog post.

Back to MovNat… I love the concept of MovNat. Jeremy and I talk about how modern society eliminated our need for hunting and gathering, the way humans had been surviving for centuries before we learned domestication. It is really not that long ago that we did not sit all day in the office, working… to make a living – to survive.

Living in the RV and traveling around the states, without a permanent residence might be hard for us to keep going to the gym or work out. But, we are always looking for ways and time to hit a bike trail if we can and visit a local YMCA for some gym action.

I wish some day we can have some free time to camp close to a location that we can try out this MovNat workouts!

Check out the videos below. They really inspired me to want to go out and hike/run a trail with these moves!

We found Vincenzo’s Convenient Elegance by accident. One afternoon, we were craving Italian after a good work out at the gym… drove by the parking lot and thought to check it out. What a pleasant surprise! A great little place ran by owner Louis and his crew who make great Italian meals to go and great selection of sandwiches to choose from. I highly recommend you stop by and say hello to Louis and try out some of the wonderful food they have to share with you. Great selection of wine for you wine lovers out there!

I have tried my first Insalata Caprese when we were camping in Austin this year.

I got a container of fresh mozzarella balls, fresh basil and a bottle of 10-Year Gran Riserva Balsamico by Lucini Italia (I highly recommend it!) from Whole Foods. I also bought some vine ripen tomato from a local farmers market to make my first Insalata Caprese. mmm… I loved it!

Four months later, I am craving it again… I stopped by North Market in Columbus, Ohio. There were lots of local farmers selling heirloom tomatoes and fresh basil, so I got some Green Zebra tomatoes (often called an heirloom, but it is not) and a few other varieties.

While we were in North Market, Jeremy also purchased a quarter pound of a beautifully aged, 9-year cheddar cheese from Mike, the owner of Curds and Whey. I could not resist the thought of putting a little bit of it in my Insalata Caprese.

When we were in Arizona earlier this year, we visited the Queen Creek Olive Mill – a family owned extra virgin olive oil mill in Arizona, USA! We loved all of their extra virgin olive oils~ One of my favorites is the Mexican Lime Olive Oil. I am also going to try that for my Insalata Caprese this time.

Oh, I know… I am going crazy here… adding all sorts of goodies to make my own Explosive Insalata Caprese.

Then I decided to add some chopped fresh roasted ginger cashew and fresh roasted curried almond to this. Plus some reindeer salami we bought in Alaska. The last item was Cherry Wood Smoked Mozzarella by Maplebrook Farm in Bennington, Vermont (purchased from Whole Foods here in Columbus.)

A dash of sea salt and fresh ground pepper… ah, I am in heaven. The result was an explosion of flavors.
