When you are young it may seem like a good idea to place an extremely large earring in your ear. However, as you get older or if you are trying to look for employment a person may grow tired of the extremely large hole in their ear. It may difficult to find a skilled surgeon who may or may not be able to repair the damage of stretched earlobe piercing.

This much is true for Patient Eric Anderson, who in his teenage years began Gauge piercing his ears. Now that he is 32 years old he wants to become an EMT and they have told him because of safety reasons he cannot pursue his new found career goals. After searching for the right person to repair his ears he realizes that it is not “easy” fix.

Eric came to Dr. Thomas with over 1” openings in his ear lobes.
