Concert: Brandy In London

Last night (May 7th)in London, Brandy performed a live concert at the IndigO2 arena. She performed some of her old school hits such as I Wanna Be Down and Baby from her timeless debut. Adding to that, she performed tracks like The Boy Is Mine from her classic ‘Never Say Never’ album to her more recent stuff from latest album ‘Human’ like Right Here (Departed) Torn Down and Long Distance. She even performed a couple of songs from her fantastic ‘Afrodisiac’ album:

In the above clip, she is seen performing the hell out of the intro, Afrodisiac & Who Is She 2 U. Check out her spasmic movements midway. Brandy was getting into it on that stage. I love how she always sounds like the record. Hot performance. Your fav could never "saaay yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah" like that (lol).

Almost Doesn’t Count:

Almost Doesn’t Count has to be one of my favourite songs from the Never Say Never album so I’m really happy she performed it. Great vocal delivery.

Jennifer Hudson Is Pregnant & Postpones Tour

After pictures of Jennifer Hudson from a recent performance hinted at a fuller figure, Internet rumors swirled that the singer was pregnant. Essence.com is now reporting that sources have confirmed she's expecting.

J. Hud is currently engaged to I Love New York 2 contestant David Otunga, but they haven't nailed down a wedding date yet.

A baby would be joyful news for the Oscar and Grammy winner, who tragically lost her mother, brother and nephew in October when they were found murdered in Chicago.

Sadly, Ms. Hudson was supposed to be on tour through May 8 but she was ordered by the doctor to postpone her tour. The “official” cause for the postponement of the tour is “throat problems.” But one of the insiders speculates that it could be much more serious.

We hope everything is ok Jen... we will be praying for you.

If you’ve been in any airport recently than you’ve most likely seen crowds of people wearing surgical masks in an attempt to protect them from the Swine Flu or H1N1 outbreak.

Many celebs are definitely following suit, including: Kelly Rowland, Lil Jon, Trey Songz, and Keri Hilson. They recently posted pictures on twitter:

The World Health Organization said Friday that the number of confirmed H1N1 cases stood at 365 worldwide, including 141 in the United States and 156 in Mexico. Thirteen countries have confirmed cases, the organization said.

Ashanti debuts on Broadway in "The Wiz"

Singer/songwriter, actor and author Ashanti will make her stage debut as Dorothy in the New York City Center Encores! Summer Stars production of The Wiz, June 12 - July 5 at New York City Center (W. 55th Street between 6th & 7th Avenues). The Wiz, the 1974 rock and soul musical based on the beloved L. Frank Baum story about Dorothy and her adventures in Oz, will be directed by Thomas Kail and choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler, with music direction by Alex Lacamoire, (the team responsible for the Tony-winning In the Heights). A June 18th opening is planned.

Ashanti burst onto the music scene with her 2002 self-titled debut album, Ashanti. The album landed at the #1 spot on both the Billboard Top 200 and R&B Album charts, and won the Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B Album. Simultaneously, Ashanti also secured the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart and the R&B/Hip Hop Singles & Tracks chart with her song, "Foolish." She made Billboard history by having her first three chart entries land in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time, becoming the first woman to accomplish this feat (which was previously attained only by the Beatles). Her follow-up album, Chapter II, debuted in the # 1 slot on the Billboard Album Chart and spawned two Top-10 singles. Nas & Kelis Are Getting Divorced

Sadly, it's has been confirmed that Hip Hop superstar Nas and wife Kelis are getting a divorce. Vibe Magazine reports:

One of hip hop’s most talked about married couples have split. VIBE has confirmed that Nas and Kelis are headed for a divorce. “I can confirm that she has filed for divorce,” a spokesperson for Kelis told VIBE. “We request the media to respect her privacy during this very difficult time.” At around 3:45pm PST, high-powered attorney Laura Wasser (who has also represented Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie, and Stevie Wonder) filed a divorce petition today on behalf of Kelis, citing irreconciable differences. The bombshell comes amid recent reports that the acclaimed rhymer and influential R&B vixen were expecting their first child together—a son. Kelis is currently seven months pregnant.

It was only last February when Nas spoke excitedly to MTV about the prospect of having a baby with Kelis. “Yeah, man, I find out what it's gonna be next week, so I'm happy," said the multiplatinum rapper, who also has a 15-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

Nas and Kelis first met in 2002 at a MTV Video Music Awards afterparty thrown by hip hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. “I wasn’t going to go, but I’m glad I did,” Nas told VIBE in June 2003. “Then at the afterparty, I met my girl.” Kelis remembered the meeting with her future husband vividly: “Everyone moves out of the way, and Nas stands up, and I put my hand out, and I’m like, Hey, I’m Kelis. And he goes, ‘Who?’… So I’m crawling into a fucking hole, and he’s like, ‘Wait-huh? What’s your name? And I’m like, Kelis, and he’s like, ‘Oh, well that’s great, because I’ve been waiting to make you my wife all these years.’” When Nas told her of his bold marital plans, she replied in typical Kelis form. “That’s great, because that’s all I wanna be.”
After dating for two years, the pair married in a small ceremony in Atlanta on July 28, 2003. Their relationship even sparked artistic collaborations, with Nas appearing on Kelis’ sensual single "In Public," featured on her 2003 release Tasty (Star Trak/Arista). Kelis returned the favor on the Queensbridge, N.Y., MC’s controversial 2006 work Hip Hop Is Dead (Def Jam) on “Not Going Back.” Yet, since March of 2008, rumors of the couple separating have been circulating on the Web. Nas’ spokesperson could not be reached for comment.

We really hope they settle their differences seeing that Kelis is about to give birth to their first child and they look good together as a family.

It looks like Chris and Rihanna may FINALLY be over...at least according to Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, who spoke to US Magazine and said the following:

Chris sounds like old news to me. She [Rihanna] is a different person, back to herself. It’s like Chris never [even] existed. She seems reborn.

Indeed a second source says Rihanna is in a really good place. “She’s realizing how precious life is … she could lose it all if she’s not smarter. She’s starting to see that one wrong choice about who she loves could turn her into the next Whitney Houston.”

We’re happy for Rih and her family ...but why was Whitney brought into this?

In other Rihanna news, it seems like Chris is also old news to her Rihanna. She was spotted in Barbados with a new tattooed mystery man.

R&B Superstar Brandy Lands TV Role

R&B singer-actress Brandy will return to network TV this fall after landing a role on the ABC pilot This Little Piggy.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the series will follow two adult siblings (Jeff Davis, Rebecca Cheskoff) who move in with their oldest brother (Kevin Rahm).

The Grammy winner and former star of UPN’s Moesha will play Davis’ materialistic wife.

The 'Love Sex Magic' singer says her "ultimate goal" is to sing on stage with the 43-year-old star - the sister of pop legend Michael.

She said: "My dream is to collaborate with Janet Jackson. She was my big idol growing up. She is amazing and no matter what, you can't forget what she has contributed to American music.

"Janet is truly an icon. She was the only person I listened to as a kid, along with her big brother Michael."

Ciara, 23, worked with Justin Timberlake on her latest single, and insists she learnt a lot from the 'SexyBack' singer.

She explained: "Hooking up with Justin Timberlake taught me all about hypnosis and how to get into people's minds. Now, thanks to JT, I feel like I can almost hypnotise the listener, take you to another place and tease you.

"Working with Justin was such a pleasure. He is so down-to-earth and people don't realise how funny he is. He should have his own comedy show."

Ciara is currently working on her new album 'Fantasy Ride', planning a US tour with Timberlake and preparing for her support slot on the UK leg of Britney Spear's world tour in June.

She added to Britain's Daily Star newspaper: "Supporting Britney in the UK this summer will be my biggest challenge yet. I'm looking forward to sharing the stage and rocking out with Brit. And I've got some amazing outfits to rival her own."

#1 U.K Girl Group Sign With Roc-A-Fella

The Sugababes have reportedly signed a new US deal with Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella records. The trio, who happen to be the UK's biggest girl group, have been over in L.A. recently recording their seventh studio album. The girls will remain under contract with label Island Records but will start working with a new team, and will reportedly begin recording with producers of Rihanna and Beyonce quality.

We like that Jay-Z is snatching up all kinds of people both management wise or artist wise. It is nothing usual and expected thus creating a diverse label. We do however wish Jay-Z did this before The Sugababes went totally commercial music wise.

'Slumdog Millionaire' Costars Are Dating

It's confirmed: "Slumdog Millionaire" costars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto are an item.

US Magazine reports that days after Patel, 19, and Pinto, 24, were photographed having a romantic lunch at an Israeli cafe on Wednesday, Patel's mother confirms they're together.

"First it was the film and now everything else seems to have slotted into place," Mrs. Patel is quoted as saying in Monday's Daily Mirror.

"Life can't get any better for him," she adds. "Freida is really beautiful, and I am really happy for them."

Asked about her son's trip to visit Pinto (who is shooting the Julian Schnabel drama "Miral" in Jerusalem), she says, "Yes, we knew he was flying to Israel to see her."

During the trip, Patel and Pinto were spotted packing on the PDA in Tel Aviv, where they strolled around the harbor and enjoyed a champagne dinner at a seaside restaurant.

Both Patel and Pinto denied dating rumors earlier this year while they promoted "Slumdog Millionaire," which won the Oscar for Best Picture.

"No, no, no," Patel told Ryan Seacrest at the Academy Awards.

Quick! How many of you thought Kim Kardashian was Beyonce in these pics? Socialite/TV personality Kim K debuted her new hair color over the weekend in Manhattan to the delight of the paparazzi who thought she was Beyonce promoting her new movie Obsessed.

However, there’s no need to ring the alarm Beyonce fans: socialite and TV personality Kim Kardashian didn’t bleach her hair blond to overthrow Beyonce. Kim K took to her blog (or Twitter) and admitted she was wearing a quick weave (wig) around New York as part of a photo shoot:

“It’s a wig! Did I have you fooled? I did a fabulous photo shoot this weekend and they put this hair piece on! I haven’t taken it off since, because I’m really loving the look. I’ve been wearing it around New York and everyone thought it was my real hair! It’s making me want to dye my hair and maybe go lighter for the summer. What do you think? Should I dye it for real?”
