The Champions League T20 is an annual cricketing bonanza that is battled between the T20 playing domestic clubs from the top cricketing nations of the world. This competition originated in the year 2009. The top cricketing nations Australia (CA), India (BCCI) and South Africa (CSA) had joint ownership of the league. The chairperson of the league is N. Srinivasan, who is also the current President of the BCCI.

The tournament has been a huge success and each year presents to the audience and the players a great deal of excitement, competition and true sportsmanship. This cricketing festival brings the entire cricket playing world together for a fun filled and action packed twenty odd days. The T20 Champions League schedule for the 2012 edition will give you the exact dates for this year’s competition.

The previous winners of the 2009 edition were the Australian team New South Wales; they failed to retain their championship and lost to the Indian Premier League team Chennai Super Kings in the 2010 final. The Mumbai Indians won the third edition after beating rivals Royal Challengers Bangalore in the all India final of 2011.

Till date due to fierce competition no team has been able to retain the championship. The Mumbai Indians have a chance to retain the crown, but will they be able to we will have to wait and watch.
