I have to say that since I’ve attended that conference much has change; especially changes imposed by Google, and now I have to agree with him. The search engines are improving at such a rapid pace that you may be able to rank for x or y #1 tomorrow but eventually you will get called out by Google or yahoo.

I have never tried to do 1 seo thing with this blog yet it ranks consistently for whatever I write about. I guess natural linking just wins in the end. It will always be important to make sure the basic optimization is done. Even Google has many guidelines on how to be sure the search engines (especially Google) knows what your site is about. And they even recommend link building. You just have to be careful that you don’t go too far so that they consider what you do as spam.

I used to spend a lot of time on SEO. Now, it takes up less than 5% of my time. The best way to make a site popular and therefore profitable is to spend as much time as you can writing top quality content, plain and simple. Today’s sites that have the best unique, high quality content are the site that will still be arond 5+ years from now.

So I guess the bottom line here is that you must have a strategy you follow while building not only your site but its content as well. Called it your Traffic Blueprint.

This Traffic Blueprint should incorporate a number of steps you are to follow; either manually of automated, in order to siphon traffic from other well ranked sites, and drive a share of their visitors to your site. There are many ways you can do this but I’ve found the following works best for me.

1. Social Bookmarking every article you write.
2. Use high page ranked Web 2.0 sites to increase your own page rank.
3. Syndicate each of your articles in high page ranked RSS aggregators.
4. Use video marketing to drive pre-qualified interested traffic to your site as well as increase your site authority.
5. Create interesting and unique articles related to your niche to increase the quality of your visitor experience and reduce your Bounce rate.
6. Use Facebook to Socialize and find people interested in your niche and invite them to visit your site.
7. Drive hundreds of visitors to your site using Twitter.

Although there are a number of other techniques you can use, I’ve found the seven I’ve listed to be most effective. I actually refer to them as my “Magnificent Seven”. Once you have put these seven techniques to use, automating the whole process just requires a few minutes of your time to “set and forget.”

What is Linkbuilding and How Can you Benefit from It?

Everyone who does business online knows that they want to be on page one of the Search Engine Results Page (SERPs), yet very few know just how to do this.

So why is Linkbuilding so important you your Internet Based Home Business? The answer is simple Traffic!

Consider this… if you where going to open a brick, and mortal retail store, would you locate it in some back alley or on the busiest sidewalk in your town/city?

The same is true for your Internet Based Home Business.

But we have not answer what Linkbuilding is and how it can benefit you…

Linkbuilding is the process of getting “votes” to your site from highly ranked sites.

You see, when the Search Engine Spiders or “Bots” visit those sites, they will find a reference to your site; this will cause the Bots to consider your site popular because a highly ranked site said so just by hosting information about your site.

Any site with page ranked 5 and above is a great site from which to set up a Linkbuilding campaign.

It isn’t hard to do this. You will use several “web property” sites to build your Linkbuilding campaign. Following is a list of the type of sites you will need:

• Social Bookmarking
• RSS Aggregators
• Social Network Sites
• Authority Sites
• Free Blogs

What you want to do is create an account which you will use to post information about your site in each one of these “web property” sites. I recommend you use one user account per site you are promoting. The key here is that your sites will be “Thematically” built following a Silo structure. In a future article I will go over these two points.

Therefore; every time you add an article to your site(s) you will post an excerpt (summary) about the article in each of the  “web property” site types mentioned.

If you are using a Blog (which I highly recommend) you can automate at least two of the most important Linkbuilding process. For instance, with Wordpress you can install certain plugins which will automatically post a summary of your articles in both Social Bookmarking and RSS Aggregator sites for you.

To get a summary of your articles published in your Social Networking Sites, you can use your sites RSS.

The Authority Sites I’m referring to are blogs with Page Ranks of 5 or better with “dofollow”  turned on. The “dofollow” filter basically tells the Bots they are allowed to follow the URLs listed in your comment. Therefore; if you include your sites URL, the Bots will follow it to your site. This creates a “Vote” to your site in the eyes of the Search Engine Bot.

Therefore; you want to find Blogs with high page ranks which have the “dofollow” filter turned on, and are “Thematically” related to your site.

It is not difficult to find these sites. There are a number of free tools which can help you accomplish this task. I like Comment Kahuna, while others prefer Comment Hut.

There is a difference between them. Comment Kahuna tends to return blogs which have categories “related” to your keyword. The key point here is that this program will search for Categories related to your keyword; these returns articles which may not be 100% related to your keyword. Comment Hut, on the other hand, will only find blogs which have articles which contain your selected keywords; therefore the results are 100% related. However; Comment Hut is not free. But they do have a “light” version which is free and you can download it here.

Free Blogs are another source from which to buildlinks. The ones I mainly use are Squidoo, and Hubpages. There are other like Live Journal, and such which you should search for. These sites allow you to publish articles in the blog they create for your user account. Within these articles your are able to add your links pointing to your sites; thereby creating back links to your articles.

So I will leave you with the following terms: Money Sites and Link Sites.

Your money sites are sites you host via your preferred hosting company. These are mini sites; containing 5 – 10 articles total. Each of these mini-sites will have at least two income streams. One of them can be Adsense, and the other a product from either Clickbank, Commission Junction, Linkshare, Share a sale or related CPA offer.

Your Link Sites are used for creating Back Links to your Money Sites

Now to answer the very last part of How can a Linkbuilding Campaign help you…

Here is the short and sweet answer; the more links you have from sites Ranked 3 or better, the closer to the First Page of the Search Engine Results Page your site gets. And this is like locating your Money Site on the busiest sidewalk in your town.

If your are interested in automating this entire process you may want to look into Brute Force Linking Loop Hole. This is the program I use to Rank my sites on Google’s front page within 2 weeks of launching them.

When search engines send out spiders or bots to collect information about different websites that is then used to decide which web pages show up first in search listings these spiders and bots are looking for search engine optimized content, or SEO content.

SEO content drives search engine marketing by repeating certain keywords or key phrases a certain number of times. When the search engine spiders and bots pick up those keywords or key phrases then they put that webpage higher in the search listings then pages that don’t have SEO content.

SEO has become very important to businesses in the last decade because no matter how much you spend on advertising when you’re doing business on the Web your webpage needs to be at the top of the search listings page.

Search engine marketing can target the major search tools that people use like Google or Yahoo so that you can be sure your webpage will show up somewhere near the top whenever anyone searches for a keyword or key phrase that is found on your website. SEO content needs to be original though, just copying and pasting the same paragraph over and over won’t help you with SEP.

The spiders and bots are programmed to not list sites that repeat the same word or the same phrase over and over. So if you were planning on taking one paragraph or one page of content and using that for search engine marketing it won’t work. For effective search engine optimization you need to have original SEO content.

If you want your website to really be successful good SEM is the key. Lots of companies place online ads and online ads can be effective at reaching particular target markets but when it comes to sheer numbers the highest number of hits that you will get to your site will come from SEO content and using search engine optimization in creative ways to get your webpage listed higher up in the search rankings.

Studies have shown that a majority of people will never click past the first page of search results when they search for a certain keyword or phrase so you have to make sure that your webpage is at the top of the search results page in order to get the most visitors to you site who are looking for the product that you sell.

Using search engine optimization can be tricky until you get the hang of writing SEO content and using search engine marketing but once you figure out how it all works or hire a professional to show how it all works you’ll be amazed at the increase in traffic to your website that you will see.

Before you start writing your new ezines on your chosen subjects, you need to make sure you are ready to do so, if you like writing but you choose to write on a subject that you are not interested in, you are going to find it a lot more difficult. The same goes for writing about a topic you do not have knowledge on. So try to find a subject you are interested in and research those topics before you write about them.

You need to be aware of the benefits your reader will be getting from this ezine article and put that in the title. If your reader will be benefiting from weight loss quickly, then you need to make sure you have that in your title. You should give them a reason why they should read your ezine article and that reason should be in your title.

We see many individuals that fail at this next step. Instead of “standing out from the crowd, ” they choose to go with what the crowd is doing. Today, a large portion of the crowd is writing articles on cooking, gardening, beauty and parenting, the internet is flooded with these kind of subjects, try to find something a little bit more niche.

Not only should your subject be a little bit niche, but it still needs to be about something there is a demand for, do your research before hand, try to find a subject that there is a demand for but relatively little supply, you can use a KEI (keyword effectiveness index) analysis to help you with this.

There are many article directories out there that we use daily. We recommend using ones such as:

• Buzzle
• Go articles
• Article dashboard
• Ezine Articles and
• Article Alley

They are five of the most popular ones that are easy to use. Before you use them, you will need to create your own profile.

As you are writing the article, feel free to ask questions in the articles. Also, tell the readers that they are allowed to contact you with comments or questions regarding the content. This will cause them to want to connect with you and as you know, this is great for networking.

When you share information, you should keep it as simple as you possibly can. We know, you may think having those big words in that ezine article is great, but you should keep things simple so that everyone can understand it. For instance, instead of using the word “quaff, ” use the word “guzzle.” Why? Because there are some that will not understand you when you use “quaff, ” but when you use the word “guzzle, ” they will. Try to use language that will be understandable by everyone.

In conclusion make sure you have a catchy title, make sure you do not have any grammar and spelling errors, make sure you have content that is not full of fluff and make sure it has a good amount of knowledge in it. Do your keyword research thoroughly and choose your subjects carefully and your online article marketing strategy is sure to be a success!

If you’re a webmaster, it’s more crucial that you submit to article directories. Why? Because at the end of every article found on these directories is the author’s bio and website link. The more webmasters that use your article, the more times your link will appear on the Web.

This is important for several reasons. First of all, the more backlinks to your site, the higher your search engine ranking and page rank will be. Although you can submit to all of them, start with the highest ranked sites to reap the best results.

While there are already entire books being written about using Twitter for online marketing, here are some basic thoughts for Affiliates who are still wondering how they can use the service.

Want to Drive more Traffic to your Website?

A number of online marketers were quick to identify Twitter as a way to drive traffic to their websites. Bloggers tweet a little info about each blog post along with a link to read the entire post. Companies post information on sales or special offers, with links to their e-commerce sites allowing followers to take advantage of the deals. Admittedly, some sites are easier to tie in to a Twitter account than others. If you are just tossing up a quick landing page for an offer you are only likely to promote for a couple of weeks, then spending time creating a Twitter account related to the offer may not be worth the effort. But, if you are creating a site that will have some staying power, you should definitely look at the micro-blogging service as another way to drive traffic to your site.

Build up a Group of Followers/Fans

Twitter can be a great way to grow a loyal fan/user base. This can be very valuable when it is done in conjunction with a well developed and actively updated website (such as a blog or portal site) where you are already driving traffic and repeat visitors. Unlike a typical website or traditional blog, Twitter can be very conversational, allowing for a significant amount of direct communication with individual followers, which can occur in almost ‘real-time’. If you can build up a large, loyal group of followers, you have the ability to direct them to visit your full website or other sites of your choosing. In some ways, your Twitter followers are like subscribers to an email newsletter. Just like a group of subscribers, your followers will stay opted-in to your messages as long as you provide them with information that they value. But, if they believe you are doing is trying to sell them on a bunch of offers that they don’t care about, they will stop following you.

A new Twitter account isn’t generally an overnight sensation. While there are a variety of services available that claim to be able to help you grow your number of followers more quickly, it still takes time to build up a loyal group of followers. You Can’t Beat the Cost

One of the biggest advantage Twitter offers is that you don’t have to pay to have an account or build your list of followers. The traffic you get from Twitter is basically free. Posting Affiliate Links in Tweets – Good or Bad?

This topic seems to generate a lot of debate in the Twitterverse and the online marketing community. The Twitter purists vehemently oppose the practice, with some fearing that marketing tweets will eventually come to make up the majority of posts on Twitter. A marketer might argue that if people are clicking on the links, they must find them valuable, so what’s the big deal? Advertisers are beginning to take note of the situation and deciding how they want to address the issue. In August, Amazon.com changed their policies and stopped paying out affiliate commissions on sales driven from Twitter. It is hard to know if this will become a trend among other advertisers or affiliate programs. These aren’t the only factors to consider when deciding whether or not to include affiliate links in your Twitter posts. If you plan on developing a large list of followers that you will monetize over time, then including lots of affiliate links in your posts will likely be counter-productive, regardless of whether or not more offers stop accepting Twitter traffic. Remember, you want to give your followers something of value, in order to keep their interest. Throwing offer after offer at them isn’t likely to make for a long lasting relationship.

Think Before you Tweet

Twitter doesn’t deliver an obvious benefit for every type of affiliate marketer. So, before you jump on the site and start putting time into developing a new Twitter account, you have to think about whether the site’s capabilities are a match for your affiliate marketing initiatives. If you have a blog or a site with a lot of content, then it may be an easy decision to make Twitter a part of your efforts. But, if you are more focused on email marketing or utilizing PPC campaigns to link directly to advertiser landing pages, then Twitter may not bring a lot of value to your current efforts.

The story is true for many people. I myself set aside a piece of paper on my writing table at work and each morning take the checks in and attempt to play with the figures. I wasn’t the only one and a lot of people still have to. Making ends meet is getting harder and if the most horrible occurs that you lose your job, well things get a lot worse.

If you are in the same position then I’d recommend one thing. Gain knowledge of how to make money on the internet.

The search engines as a rule give less importance to a website involved in two way linking (where both websites link to each other) since this has been abused so much in the past by webmasters seeking to achieve high search engine rankings.

There is still a benefit to be had with two way links especially if you are linking to a prominent site so if your only choice to link to a prominent website is by linking back to them from your website, by all means do it.

Just remember if you can get them to link back to you only (one way link) it will be more beneficial to your search engine rankings.

Remember that the website you are linking to (or getting one way links from) should have content related to the content on your website.

One way links are far and away the best way to boost your rankings in the search engines, ultimately bringing you more traffic as more people find your website in the search engine results.

The more “important” (from the search engines point of view) the site that is linking to you is, the better, and this is what separates the big boys in relation to search engine rankings.

When considering finding out more about buy backlinks ; it pays to do a little research first as a good way to move forward fast!. Watch the sharks out there!

One good way to get the ball rolling is to submit articles to article directories (see the Articles Directory article for specific information).

The main thing here is to make sure the article directory you are submitting has itself got a good page ranking with Google.

It’s very important to ensure that your one-way links have related content to your site.

Even when it is coming from a high ranking page, if your incoming link is from a website selling flowers, and your selling cars on your site, it’s unlikely to benefit you much.

If though your site was about tires for cars then the link would be far more likely to be a benefit for you in search engine rankings.

The more one-way links you can get from relevant, trusted (in the eyes of the search engines) and quality content sites the better. Remember that a single quality one way link will probably provide more of a benefit to your website than be 20-30 low quality links (un-trusted, sub-quality, not entirely relevant content to your website, or combination’s of these problems).

The other thing you will definitely want to do is to mix-up your anchor text from these one-way links (Anchor text is the text shown on screen for a link to your website).

Wherever possible you will want to try and control what is in the anchor text on these sites (obviously this will not be possible some times because it’s not your website, however I’ve found many web masters are happy to help).

You really do not want to have the same anchor text for many incoming links from many sites as this can set a red flag to the search engines, who may very well rate your website less important because they believe you may be manipulating the results (I’m not saying that the anchor text for every one way link needs to be unique, just that you should ensure you have a number of combination’s of them in use).

You want to have your best keyword phrases in use with your incoming links, but use a lot of variation and even just some regular links (just your domain name in the anchor text) will help keeping things natural.

The other thing you want to do is be sure to not always link to your root directory of your website, but rather directly to articles, etc. This allows your incoming link to be targeted for a particular page.

For example I have submitted articles to various article directories that are a subset of a more comprehensive article.

In this case I’ve chosen to link from the article directory direct to the more comprehensive article on my website.

I’ve also ensured that the article is not just a duplicate, since search engines dislike duplicate content and will mark down your websites importance if duplicate content is found.

Of course one way links to your website will not only boost your website’s search engine rankings, but it will also bring traffic to your site.

Start slowly and build up the links over time, you will find your likely to get far better results doing it this way, and that it’s also more likely that your great search engine rankings are likely to “stick” in the future.

There are several ways that a person can learn to use twitter and the choice of how they can use twitter keeps growing day by day. These choices are increasing daily as these utility programs keep coming online as they are developed by programmers with new ideas. These new ideas will inevitably lead to the continuous growth of twitter Authority sites.

Let me give you an example of some of the programs that I’ve run into. There is one that allows you to find other twitter users by location and specific interests. This is great if you are involved in a niche market and are looking for people that are horse owners on twitter. This will allow you to follow them, develop a relationship with them and introduce them to your knowledge or products.

There is another program called twitter robot that allows you to automatically post your tweets to your followers. You can do this any time of day 24 hours a day seven days a week. You simply enter the posts that you would like to send out and twitter robot will automatically send out the tweets at the interval you specify. In this manner all of your followers will see your message several times a day.

Even though twitter imposes a 140 character limit to its messages you can still send the message that seems broader by using a link to videos, audios, or pictures. Using these links will make your twitter message seem bigger than the 140 character limit.

Feel free to engage twitter and have fun, but beware that spending too much time on twitter may cause you to neglect the other things that are important in your life. With a little bit of discipline and a little bit of structure your time can be wisely used on twitter. Don’t forget to use these Authority sites to help you to have a more efficient and effective time using twitter.
