Hi Stampers,

I'm here with this week's Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week we were given a sketch to inspire our creations...

I've been fighting a spring cold the past week or so and the creativity has not been flowing so It was nice to jump into this week's sketch challenge and get the juices flowerin again! Button Buddies is one of my favorite sets so I decided to play with it and fall back on my favorite color combo (As you can obviously tell from my blog design - lol) of Cherry Cobbler, Wisteria Wonder, and Pink Pirouette. I added a touch of Basic Black this time and I like the pop it adds to the combo!

I LOVE the way the card came out - although the photograph isn't really doing the card much justice (sorry about that - I kept getting a wonky effect with my stripes on the greeting and the sparkle just doesn't want to shine in the photo) I added some sparkle to the card with the Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink. I put some dots in the scallops and then sparkled up the faint background flowers and randomly sparkled the Cherry Cobbler flower petals. So it looks a little grainy in the photo but imagine a subtle shimmer on the flowers in real life! :)

The 2012 Stampin' Up! Catalog

I'm so excited the New 2012/13 Stampin’ Up! Catalog will be released on June 1, 2012!

As you know every year in the month before the new Catalog comes out I offer you the option to have me Spiral Bind your new Catalog for you! I love working with the spiral bound catalog all year - It makes it so much easier to lay the book in your work area when you're CASEing an idea from the book and it make shopping and holding your place easier as well!!

There are Two ways to get the New Catalog from me Spiral Bound and ready for you to open and start imagining what you'll create with all the fun new items this year!

Option 1: If you are a regular at my stamp camps or crops you can simply pay the Spiral Binding Cost of $5.00 and pick it up at the next event. I'll have them at the May Stamp Camp.

Option 2: For my customers and blog readers who live out of the area or can't make one of my upcoming events, I will Mail your catalog to you. The cost for spiral binding and postage is $9.00.

Keep Calm and Stamp On {CCMC202}

Hi Stampers,

I'm here with this week's Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This time we had a color challenge...

The Colors for this Challenge are Pool Party, Poppy Parade, and Basic Black. I used a bit of old and a bit of new in this card. Poppy Parade is one of the five In Colors that will be retiring at the end of this month. The Carry On Stamp Set is a sneak peek from the new catalog. It's one of the Hostess sets that will be avaliable starting June 1st!

It's so fun getting a peek at stamp sets early as a Demonstrator! When I saw the Carry On set it went straight to the must have list! It's filled with other fun carry on phrases like Eat a Cupcake or Shop On. I can see a lot of fun cards and small decor items made with this set!

A Decorative trim, some ribbon and a button finished the card off.

Sweets for the Sweet {CCMC201}

Hi Stampers,

I'm here with this week's Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week we were given a sketch to inspire our creations...

I have been wanting to make a lollipop card with the Sweets for the Sweet stamp set since I got it and when I saw the sketch for this challenge I KNEW it was the perfect card layout for a fun sweet card! I used Pool Party for the card base with a little Pool Party Designer Series Paper for the background.

The Lollipop is stamped and punched out then attached to a lillipop stick with Glue Dots. I used a small Zip top bag to cover the lollipop. I simply cut the bottom zip part away.

I used more Glue Dots to attach the finished Lollippop to the card front.
