So today I want to get back to a little old school post type, I used to make list posts like all the time and you seemed to like them. I really need to post more here on IBB but I’m so busy these days with other things I can’t seem to find the time!

However today I am going to list off 5 must have tools of our blogging trade. Its up to you all to get in on the goods and start making money of your own! Not all these tools are money makers but they are worth having and doing regularly!

1. Twitter – Believe it or not a ton of bloggers have never heard of twitter or they have simply not found the time to fill out the 25 second form to get there twitter account. Granted twitter is time consuming and aggravating at times it really is a great tool that over time you can use and build up into a great advertising tool as well as a money maker! 2. Facebook - Believe it or not but facebook is now for more then just your friends and family to connect! As a blogger you can use it to your advantage and create an account or page for your blog on facebook that people can become a fan of! Its easy to setup and well worth the few minutes of time, just be sure to update it every now and then so it doesn’t look dead!

3. Aweber – I have said it before and I will say it again, aweber is the best email marketing tool out there. Its easy to setup and use, not only that but I have seen significant growth since starting to use the hover pop up that it comes with! It seriously is worth the $20/mo and I suggest everyone get in on the goods!

4.  Wordpress - Really do I even need to list this? If your not using wordpress for your blog then your either Stupid or completely have no idea what your doing…. Seriously use wordpress people!

5.  Flip Mino HD, Mac & iMovie - If you ever want to get your name out there on sites like YouTube or Vidler then you need a flip vid cam, a mac and imovie for video editing and of course a little spunk to get noticed! I have made lots of posts on video blogging that you can checkout

So in the last couple of week a lot has changed for me and today I want to encourage you all to take notice of what is happening and capitalize on it!

Magazine, tv and other publications are starting to go out and the internet is just getting bigger and bigger as you read this!

The internet can’t be stopped and its just waiting for the next big invention to hit!

Is your dream to make big money? Online or off it all comes down to two things “desire” and “working hard”. Nothing in life comes easy and if you want to make it big you need to prepare yourself for hard work and lots of it!

I have come to realize that I am a slacker of sorts, I need a good kick in the pants every now and again.

That’s were desire comes in, if you have desire or you are working towards something then you will most likely be able to achieve it if you set a goal and stick to your daily plan to get there.

For instance, I now have a girlfriend and I want to treat her right, take her out to eat, to the movies, spend time with her, pay for gas to drive to her place etc… How am I going to do this? WORK HARD!

I am going to work more hours and try to be more productive in those hours.

See I was blogging along and all was fine and dandy, I had money in the bank, a new bike and paintball gun to play with and I thought life was great!

It was until I got my bill from the IRS for over $300…

I made out the check (even though it hurt) and within 1 week they took the money. I was down to my last dollar before I made any more, luckily I am back up to where I should be but I still have to be careful with what I spend.

The moral of the story is I should have been ready for a blow like that, I half way was and that’s the next part of this story…

The day I made out the IRS check I emailed an old advertiser that had stopped advertising with me. I simply emailed them asking if they would like to grab an add on my site for a cheap price since my audience has grown since they were last with me. They quickly agreed to a $50/mo deal and paid me for 2 months in advance. Basically I made $100 that day and I now have them hooked in as a monthly customer!

Its a great feeling and I am now generating over $700/mo online from my various businesses and blogs.

I am super excited for the next couple of months and years to come with you all but I really need ideas to make posts about. So please send your ideas to me or I may just have to ask some buds for guest posts or something.

Today I want to talk a little bit about ways to maximize click traffic on your blog. There are several tools you can use to help and today were going to reveal ways you can convert those visitors into $$$ every time!

See the problem isn’t that we don’t get traffic, in fact nearly every website on the net gets some traffic. The problem is turning the traffic we do have (even if its only a little) into either a paying customer or some form of $$$ maker.

Its the art of click persuasion I am talking about, you need to somehow be able to persuade your visitors to click on something and in turn generate a commission from that (affiliates are pros’s at this).

Some general things to remember are:

- Ad positions on page, they matter more then you think!
- Use multiple spots and track how they do with diff color ads, especially if your using adsense!
- Encourage companies to grab more then one spot for max benefits, this works if you word it right!

Keep those tips in mind and you should be converting those visitors into cold hard cash in no time!

So today I want to talk a little bit about how cluttered my desk and twitter account has become. I think its important to note that I don’t always practice what I preach but I am getting better and following through with all the things I start.

Today I was looking at my new twitter account and I realized I had 27 DM’s sitting there in my account, only two of them were real messages from actual twitterers, the rest were all auto DM’s I get from the people I have started following.

That brings me to my point for this post, de-cluttering your life and DM’s is a good thing, there is nothing worse then a messy twitter account or garage that needs organizing!

Note: I know this was a rather short post but that doesn’t make it not very important! Take time out today to complete one of the clutter tasks on your to-do list, whether that’s around the house or on your twitter account!

Decide, commit, its as simple as it gets!

So today I decided to make a video for IBB thanking all of my readers (you), I am very blessed to have you all as readers to my blog and I hope I can continue to bring useful content to you for years to come! Obtaining readers has been a tough journey to say the least and everyone of you is special to me, if there is ever anything you need or want my email box is always open to you! I check every email and always reply so send me a letter even if its just to say hi!

I saw a few of you commented on my mac post yesterday about seeing pics of the mac laptop (I’m writing on it right now) so I decided to video it and hopefully you all enjoy it! So far I really like the mac laptop, especially since I got a wireless mac bluetooth mouse for it, along with video editing on it (the video below) I have fully loved my experience with it so far.

I just love Apple products and now I have the laptop a desktop and an iphone, what other apple products am I missing out on?

Note: I am considering opening my blog audience some and starting to do some more product reviews (laptops, devices, phones etc) would you all be interested in that or should I focus on MMO only topics? It really is up to you all!

I purchased the lap top so I can blog on the go, eventually I want to get wireless net for it but till I do I will just use it for some gaming and for videos!

As promised I am making 2 posts about how I am building my new twitter account @shblogger so fast.

I am doing several different things so I will go over them briefly here and then you can do the same for your own twitter account, no matter how many followers you already have these techniques will work! I started out with zero and I know others who started out with hundreds and quickly reached multi-thousands after doing these techniques!

Step 1 – Power in a name.

Believe it or not the techniques I am going to show later on in these posts may not work without a good twitter account name. When it comes to choosing a name for your twitter account, remember “smaller is better”.

The twitter account name is like your calling card and should be simple, short and to the point with your company or blogs brand. The shorter names are easier to remember and to re-tweet.

You dont like your time wasted so why waste someone elses?

Step 2 – Twitter profile.

One of the mistakes I see a lot of young twitter users making is with there twitter profiles in general. The profile should not only compliment yourself but it should also make a statement of some kind. If you teach people to do something then put that in your bio line.

Aside from the right sidebar stuff which you can edit to your own descretion I encurage you to get a great Twitter Background image setup. If you visit Twitter.com/Shblogger you will see my mascot and a cool background all at once! This is how it should be done, it shows potential followers that you care enough to have a customer twitter page instead of the default boring ones!

The first technique is the follow trade, basically the way twitter has worked since it started was simple, you follow the people you knew and in return they followed you back so you could all connected and be connected with your daily lives.

Not much has changed in this regard and the techniques still work great!

All you have to do is follow people and they will return the favor, however as a person you can’t possibly know Hundreds Of Thousands of people yourself unless your a celebrity with fans correct?

There is a site that @JohnChow started called TwitterFollower.com, twitter follower allows you to do follow trades very easily. The system is pretty self explanatory so I won’t go into detail here on how to use it, just watch John Chows video explaining how it works here.

Step 4 – Link to it, promote it, get it seen.

This step is a little less effective right off the bat but over time you will see results by doing it. I encourgage you to if you havent already go ahead and link to your twitter name on your blog, websites and even your email signature can be  some great places to start!

When it comes to promoting your twitter account you should try anything and everything (be sure to comment below if you have any ideas for me to try). I promote my twitter name here on my blog, through videos and even to my friends and family on Facebook that already know and trust me.

Why not try linking to your twitter account through other social media sites? You may be suprised at the results it delivers!

Step 5 – Run a contest.

The final and last step to replicate my success with your own twitter profile is to run a contest through twitter. By running a twitter contest you will not only let your current followers know about the contest but everyone who enters finds out about it as well!

A twitter contest should work like this, make a post on your blog about the contest, tell them to enter they simply need to re-tweet the contest message (actually give them the contest message to copy and paste, be sure to include your twitter account name in the contest message as well as a link back to your blog) then sit back and watch twitter do all the work for you.

As long as you give away a decent prize (no ebooks here guys, give away cold hard cash or an electronic device) then you will see your twitter follower count rise over night without even lifting a finger! Its kinda like cheating the sytesm but in a good way!

Lets wrap it up.

I believe if you follow all these steps I have outlined above you will get over 100 followers in your first day. I did not even run the contest nor get my twitter background fixed up the first day and I already gained over 100 in my very first day which is amazing!
