A cover issued to mark the Inaugural Direct flight between Auckland (NZ) and Rarotonga (Cook Islands ) on 02 Dec 1973 by Air New Zealand.

A Cancellation of Waterloo where the Royal Welch Fusiliers took part in Battle of Waterloo in Jun 1815 is also on the FDC.

Belgium released a set of stamps on Belgian Red Cross on 02 mar 1985. A FDC with a stamp on Blood Transfusion is shown. This 23F+ 5F stamp design shows two hearts.

The Channel Tunnel is a 50.5 KM undersea rail tunnel linking Folkestone, Kent near Dover  in UK with Coquelles ,  Pas-de- Calais near Calais in Northern France beneath the English Channel  at the Strait of Dover.

The tunnel carries the High Speed Eurostar passenger trains. It was opened in May 1994 by QE II and French President  F Mitterrand. Approx 16.1 Million Passengers used this 2008.

France and UK brought out Joint Issue  stamps to Commemorate this event on 03 May 1994. The FDC shows the French stamp cancelled at Coquelles and UK stamp cancelled at Folkestone. The Locomotives being used were Eurotunnel Class oo01, Class 0031 , Class 9.

A Set of Five stamps were released by Australia on24 Oct 2006 to mark 50 Years of Television . The stamps show some of the programmes broadcast over major Australian TV networks. They are IMT , Homicide , Dateline Neighbours , Kath &Kim.
