Well my knowledge of Indian law is limited to the level of general knowledge. As far as I know, “offense” and “exploitation” are quite different. Rape for example would be an offense and prostitution for example would be “exploitation”.

To quote from the Sexual Offense Act, 2003,

Rape is defined as an act when a person (X) -

(1) Penetrates the vagina, anus or mouth of another person (Y) with his penis,

(2) Y does not consent to the penetration.

(3) X does not reasonably believe that Y consents.

Sexual Harassment of someone for example include-

1. Sexually coloured remarks

2. Physical contact and advances

3. Showing pornography

4. A demand or request for sexual favours

5. Any other unwelcome physical, verbal/non-verbal conduct being sexual in nature…

Excellent topic of discussion. Firstly we must remember that by “rapist” we mean a person convicted of rape, not merely suspected of being one.

There are three ways we can try to approach this question.

Emotional way – Rape is one of the most heinous crime in society. It degrades and scars the sanctity of an individual. When that individual is someone close to us, we tend to be filled with vengeance. My emotional response is the take away the power of superiority from the rapist. Either by castration or by long public humiliation.

Practical way – I do not endorse talking a life for any reason other than self defense and national security. Killing a rapist is not the solution, neither is castrating him/her. The most logical punishment seems to be a long term of solitary confinement with sustained effort to reform the person.

Historical way – Punishment for rape had been varied historically. The most common punishment right now is imprisonment. Wikipedia says that the average jail term for a rapist in the US is 7 years. Death penalty is still awarded in “rarest of rare cases”, like in the case of Dhanonjoy Chaterjee in Kolkata in 2004…

As I have said many times, only the first 2 inches or less inside the vagina is sensitive for the purpose of ‘in/out” pleasure. The rest of the length doesn’t really matter. The main sexual organ for a woman in regards to sexual pleasure is the clitoris. This is why many girls can masturbate to orgasm but cannot orgasm during intercourse. Relaxing, being able to stop the mind and really tune into body sensations helps in this regard.

The next time you are having intercourse, feel free to stimulate yourself or show him how (nicely, no one likes orders). There is no need to be embarrassed, this is perfectly normal. It is unlikely he will be put off. In fact, probably it will be the opposite if you don’t make a big deal of it (and even stimulate him occasionally)…

On that time I was a student of Higher Secondary Level that is the twelve standards in our country. I was lonely as the only son of my parents and had very little friends. My parents went to our home district for some family affair and I was alone in our home. My mother cooked some food and kept them in Refrigerator and I had no problem. I was almost enjoying this alone in an empty home.

One day, all on a sudden, there was a student movement in the Dhaka University campus which was very common on those days. But this time something happened as police interfered into a students' rally and there was a big trouble in the campus.

At about 7 p.m Nila apu called me and told me to come to a place and pick her from there as all hostels had been vacated because of the political problem. She told me not to enter into the campus but to meet her on a place we both knew. I called my parents and informed it. They had already got the news and requested me to bring Nila apu as soon as possible.

I went there immediately and found Nila apu standing in front of a Departmental Store. We came back home silently. Nila apu dialed to her parents and informed them about her safety. I also informed my parents that everything was ok. My mother talked to Nila apu and told her to cook whatever we liked to eat.

Peer pressure is always tough to deal with, especially when it comes to sex. Some teens decide to have sex because their friends think sex is cool. Others feel pressured by the person they are dating. Still others find it easier to give in and have sex rather than to try to explain why not. Even if sometimes it feels like everyone is “doing it”, it is important to realise that this is not true. People often talk about sex in a casual, exaggerated manner, but this doesn’t mean they are actually having sex.

TV and films don’t show the full story. Sexual situations are everywhere in our culture. They are on TV, in movies, and even in commercials and magazines. This is part of the reason why we enjoy these things so much. Just remember: characters in these movies, television shows, and advertisements are actors and actresses. They can’t get unwanted pregnancies and STDs. You can.
