Who We Are
ImagineSolar’s mission is to empower people and organizations in the planning, designing, installation, commissioning, maintenance, business, and technical sales of solar PV systems in order to accelerate the transformation of the energy industry to a non-carbon-emitting solar and smart grid future.
Since our founding in 2002, we have provided high-quality, up-to-date solar training and advisory services to companies and the general public both union and non-union across the USA and internationally. In addition, we have experience designing, installing, and inspecting solar projects.
The Austin Electrical JATC and ImagineSolar entered into a solar training partnership in 2010 that was approved and audited by the U.S. Department of Labor. Our classroom and solar lab are located in the AEJATC building located at 4000 Caven Rd., Austin, TX 78744. The building is fully ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant and conforms to all required fire, first aid, and life safety codes and practices. Free broadband Internet access is provided throughout the building. Parking is plentiful and does not require permit fees.
The AEJATC is offering summer tuition scholarships through ImagineSolar for apprentices and CWCE’s currently enrolled in the school. This scholarship will allow you to study solar photovoltaic system design and installation. Click here to request further information.

Online Solar Training - Start Anytime
PV201e explains the specifications and operations of solar PV system technologies including both grid-tie and battery-based PV systems. It covers many of the concepts, design principles and formulas that you need to know for NABCEP exams as well as ImagineSolar Learning Objectives for the current solar industry. The course has more than 40 formulas, 57 videos, and 220 exam questions. Recent updates include new lessons on microinverters, DC optimizers, and data on the solar industry.

This workshop uses a blended-learning approach that combines onsite hands-on training with online live lectures both before and after the hands-on day in our solar lab in Austin Texas. Our instructors have years of experience as solar industry professionals and have all achieved NABCEP recognition.
