now here's what i'm loving this new week - bryn's updated living room! if you keep up with her blog, you'll know that she makes very deliberate choices that always pay off in the end. i feel honored her finishing touch was a pair of our glass jar lamps batik shades. aren't they super fabulous in the room?

i discovered teil duncan's work, and i'm obsessed.

brian meares and i are headed to california next week for a wedding in santa barbara, a romp with this crazy lady and her fam, and a few days in big sur. i think i'm going to wear this to the wedding but have concerns about what shoes.

my new favorite thing ever is this donkey pinata snow globe. i mean, who doesn't need a snow globe? it's so versatile.

is that a gardenia bush, inside? because i want that. i planted a little gardenia when we moved in seven years ago, and now he's big and happy and for a few weeks a year i get to bring a few blooms inside and nothing is better.

we've got so much great bedding in at the shop that our bed is getting redressed almost daily.

do you think one day i'll just step out of the trailer at the farm looking like this?

jessica and i shot two projects last week, and installed another at the beach over memorial day.
in raleigh:

quick break: at the beach for memorial day the moon was big and bright

a walk around the block and i came back with this little bouquet for the window

my most favorite eggs benedict ever: the salmon benedict from sweet & savory. look at all that runny gooeyness.

rowdy always has the best time

ok, back to decorating. at the beach we worked with a family on the living room of their new crib. the custom bench we'd been waiting on was finally finished up, so we showed up with loads, and loads of pillows. i prefered the santa claus method of getting them in.

with all that styling and making pretty for everyone else, i came home last night and treated myself to a couple of roses on the nightstand. the decorator has some decor - just a little.
