It's crunch time here.  Christmas is BIG in both mine and my husband's families, and the pressure is on to get Christmas lists done.  I need to get lists done for all of us and currently open to suggestions....have you done a wish list yet?  Ask me for one and then I'll share it with whomever you request! I whipped up this page in a matter of a few minutes! I have always wanted to go to the Grand Canyon, and back in May I had the opportunity to take a side trip in the form of a helicopter trip during a visit to Vegas.  My time in the Canyon was limited (about 30 minutes), but well worth every penny! Cross that off my bucket list!

For this page, I really wanted to showcase my photos, so I used one of the photo grids available in the program. All you do is pick your photos and drop them in. To keep the focus on the photos, I added the background paper and the text. That's it. Wouldn't a photo book of your best photos be great to do this way?  Super easy and quick!

One great tip with My Digital Studio that really helps me is the fact that I can keep trying the different backgrounds until I found the right one. I tried about 10 different background with this before settling on this one, which really pulls out the blue from the sky!

Have you checked out the Snowfall Window Sheet on page 27 in the Holiday Mini Catalog?  Or the Icicle rubons on the same page?  Here's a project using both!  I'm in love with these window sheets, especially since discovering that they are thick enough to run through the Big Shot and make this cute box!  I got the idea completely from the Stampin Success magazine that Stampin Up sends demonstrators each month. (Another great perk of being a demonstrator!)

Here's how I did it:

• I cut the window sheet (12x12) to 6 x 12 and then run it through the Stampin Up Big Shot using the Fancy Favor Box.
• Determine where the "front" of your box is and place one of the white rub-on on the front.
• Assemble the box using sticky strip - being careful not to get it all fingerprint-y.
• Stamp greeting in Night of Navy on Bashful blue, and cut out with Modern Label punch. Attach Stampin' Dimensionals.
• Fill Large cello bag with treats and tie shut with Bashful Blue grosgrain ribbon.

I realized over the weekend for some reason my Friday post went MIA , so here's what you should have seen here on Friday....so today will be five minute Monday!

The Dasher stamp set is a must-have this holiday season, and a real steal at $10.95.  You can find it on the Under $12 page at the back of the current Idea Book.   Here's how I made my five minute Dasher Christmas Card:

1. Fold Kraft card base in half (4.25 x 8.5)
2. Stamp Dasher in Chocolate Chip Classic Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock. Trim around edges as desired.  Ink edges of cardstock with Chocolate Chip Ink.
3. Cut chocolate chip cardstock piece slightly bigger than Dasher piece and mat.
4. Cut piece of Merry Moments designer series paper to 4.25 by 3
5. Take 4.5 inch piece of Real Red Polkadot Grosgrain ribbon and wrap around top of designer series paper and attach ends to the back with SNAIL.
6. Attach this panel to the card stock base.
7. Attach Dasher base to card using Stampin Dimensionals.
8. You are done.

I'm sure  you could make 15-20 of these in under an hour with a little pre-planning. Perfect for all of the christmas cards you need  to make and send out later this month!  If you want more holiday ideas, subscribe to my 12 weeks of Christmas newsletter here.

This week is my niece's 6th birthday, and I decided to put my Build A Bear Dies for the Big Shot and stamp sets to good use. Above is the bag I made for her which was also the gift bag for her present.  To get the bear onto the canvas bag, I cut out all the pieces out of material and felt, and then glued the smaller ones onto the bear's body. Then I used iron on stuff to iron it on the bag (the exact name of the stuff current escapes me at the moment.), super fast and easy.  This would be a great holiday gift idea that you could replicate rather quickly for multiple gifts.

 
In keeping with the Build A Bear theme, the birthday card is done with the Beary Nice Wishes and Beary Best Friends stamp sets. This is a complete copy from a card that was done on stage at the Stampin Up Regionals in Ohio back in September, so don't give me any credit, lol.   I can't wait to make more of these cards - who knew I'd like these bears so much?

 
And here's what was in the bag....a stamping starter kit for the jr. papercrafter set.  I made 20 card bases in various colors, and then attached a Whisper White piece to each one.  I included the envelopes, the Pony Party Stamp set, some various ribbons and an ink pad.  Would this be a great birthday or holiday gift for little ones on your list?

It's Friday, so here's a five minute card for christmas that you can stamp a stack of quickly!  I just love the Serene Snowflakes stamp set and have been using it a ton. This card is inspired by several I've seen around various forum, but of course I haven't saved them - apologies if I have CASEd you - and let me know if this is your original creation!  This is just one of four cards I am doing tonight at Carrie's Christmas Card Class - if you want to book your own private class this holiday season, please contact me to book a date! 

Here's the instructions for making this card:

1. Cut card stock base of Night of Navy to 5.5 by 8.5 and fold in half. Use bone folder to get a crisp fold.
2. Cut piece of brushed silver to 4 x 5.25.  Cut Night of Navy piece to 3.75 x 5.
3. Stamp greeting towards upper right hand side in Versamark.  Stamp snowflakes randomly around
4. the card.  Cover with silver embossing powder and set with heat tool.
5. Attach this panel to the silver piece with SNAIL, and then this panel to your card base.
6. Decorate inside and envelope as desired.

I am all Halloweened out, at least for crafting purposes. So I'm moving on today to Christmas. I have been working on little Halloween treat boxes, and I need a break from thinking about all that candy!  Saturday I am having a fun class - a christmas tag class featuring punched creations.  If you'd like to join us - I have a couple spots left.  The class runs from 10 to Noon at my place. maggie@ilovepapercrafts.com

In preparing for this class, I was looking for a little elf, and couldn't find one I really liked, so I created my own. This punch art elf was created using the following Stampin Up punches - Five Flower Punch, 1 3/4 circle punch, Trio Flower, 1/2 circle, 1 1/4 square, Word Window and Double Hole Punch.  Easy peasy!

The Tag base is Real Red cut with the Clear circle on the Big Shot and then stamped with "very merry" from Short and Sweet.  The ribbon is the very yummy Mistletoe ribbon from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Have to post and run - lots to do today!  I have a Christmas card for you tomorrow that we are doing at our Papercraft Princesses team meeting tonight.
