A rousing, bawdy fairy tale set in the yesteryears of Mississippi, The Robber Bridegroom is the story of the courting of Rosamund, the only daughter of the richest planter in the country, by Jamie Lockhart, a rascally robber of the woods. The proceedings go awry, thanks to an unconventional case of double-mistaken identity. Throw in an evil stepmother intent on Rosamund's demise, her pea-brained henchman and a hostile talking head-in-a-trunk, and you have the recipe for a rollicking romp.
"this is definitely a show worth seeing"- Press-Telegram
"first-rate Broadway-Caliber talent"
- Event News
"Blending elements of The Three Stooges, Mark Twain, and Monty Python
(and how's that for a trio?), Nielsen's Robber Bridegroom is endlessly
and outlandishly inventive - and more fun than the proverbial barrel of
monkeys."
- StageSceneLA
"You'll have a foot-stompin' good time at International City Theatre's The Robber Bridegroom and since the musical isn't often done in Southern California, don't delay."
