She is the cousin of Karen Gillan, who plays the older Amy Pond, although they had never met before Doctor Who. It was Gillan who convinced producers to allow Blackwood to play the role, although she had to go through auditions first.

We are thrilled to be having her and her mother, Linda, joining us in Florida.

This FREE EVENT will be a celebration in more than one way, as it will see us return to our home of Cricketers Arms Pub and Eatery. Cricketers, the home of our Pub Nights for many years, had to close earlier this year to relocate. We are thrilled that they have re-opened in their new location on Sand Lake Road in Orlando, and will be hosting our events once more!

Comic Connection will also be on hand that evening to give us a sampling of the latest merchandise.

Here comes the Bride!

Series Six of Doctor Who concludes with “The Wedding of River Song”

After all of the major revelations that have been made so far this season, there are bound to be many more questions as we continue!

This event will be held Saturday, October 1st, 2011, at the Claddagh Cottage Irish Pub on Curry Ford Road in Orlando.
