Although Hudson would ride his pedal bike, he has still preferred his Strider bike. Stopping and starting just weren't as easy as on the Strider.

That was until Kendra became the "bike whisperer". She has gotten Hudson to learn how to put the pedals in the "magic spot" so he can start without a push. He's so proud, and it has truly made him excited about his pedal bike.

Hudson continues to improve on his bike.

Kendra has been the "bike whisperer" and really gotten him going strong.

And yes, we know he should have had a helmet on, so don't email us... we had it, but he was about to stop trying so we allowed it this time. (None of us wore helmets when we learned how to ride.)

On Monday, Hudson went on a nice hike with Buela and Papa to the top of Enchanted Rock.

He happily hiked about 2/3 of the way up until it started getting very windy. Then Dad had to carry him the rest of the way.

Fantastic views at the top, but Hudson didn't need to hang out for long with the wind gusting.

Fun ride on the Shark Train at the Downtown Aquarium in Houston. Goes in a tunnel thru a shark tank and then the escaped Great White jumps out of the water at you on one of the turns. :)

Hudson has always lived the water, and it's amazing how far he has come with his weekly swimming lessons.

1st Big Ride without Training Wheels

Hudson has been practicing a lot lately, but today he mastered riding his pedal bike.

The joy of making mommy and daddy have to run finally got him to go more than about 20'. (In the video, look way down the street and we are coming at you.)

So proud of himself. (And we are too. ) And yes, he got a treat.

Hudson had a little ear infection today, so we had to make a trip to the doctor. Usually he sits on mommy's lap, but today he was such a big boy and wanted to sit on the table by himself. Our boy is growing up!

Hudson went to the production Erth: Dinosaur Petting Zoo where he got to pet a baby dinosaur, saw a 3' dragonfly fly through the crowd and eventually got up his nerve to touch the T. Rex on the tail.

All of the dinosaurs were the most ornate and lifelike puppets you've ever seen. The T. Rex even chased after a few volunteers from the crowd that had come up to feed and help the trainer. (You can see the actors legs in between the T. Rex legs.) Hudson thought it was cool, but the T. Rex was a little scary sometimes.

Hudson got to try his hand with nunchuks today at his Life Ki-Do class.

Watch out Bruce Lee and all breakables 48 inches or lower in our house.
