129

Night Fishing For Walleye and Pickerel 3 Have you ever wondered what actually attracts walleyes and pickerel to a certain area at night and stay there? Well there are certain characteristics located at certain areas that will attract and hold walleyes and pickerel at night. If you can learn these key characteristics you can become successful at catch walleyes at night. Night walleye fisherman will see different patterns then the daytime walleye angler. To night fisherman there are two types of spots that draw and hold walleye to a certain area.

Number 1 During the spawn you will find walleye and pickerel holding at night only at spots that have proper depth and bottom content.

Number 2 After the Spawn you will catch walleyes and pickerel at night only where there is the proper depth and bottom conditions and where there is a plentiful food source.

When you think about it, Walleyes and pickerel have to eat and they are night feeders by nature. Walleyes need to eat and they are aggressive eaters at night. If you think about it with any depth, walleyes and pickerel even pick some spots with the proper depth and bottom conditions to spawn over others. The sole reason In my opinion, is the forage is plentiful in the spot they pick. if walleye have to spawn in areas that offer very little food they will move out of their spawning area as soon as their spawn is complete because they will need to find food. This is not so in spawning areas that hold a good food source for the walleye and pickerel. If you can find a spot that has a rocky or rubble bottom and has vegetation near by, Walleyes will hold here post spawn into early summer as long as the forage is plentiful. When water temperatures start to rise walleyes and pickerel will migrate to deeper water habit during the day but they still head back to shallow water where there is a good food supply to feed at night.

Once you have located your night fishing walleye and pickerel honey whole you will want to anchor off so your walleye rigs are casted near the edge line of vegetation and rock and rubble. the walleyes and pickerel will be feeding agressively in this area at night. To enhance you experience even more drop a underwater fishing light which is also called a submerged fishing light, over the side and anchor it to the bottom. It doesn’t matter if you are fishing from your boat or at a location on the shoreline the light will attract zooplankton and bait fish near where you are fishing.

A good Live bait walleye and pickerel fishing rig that I use at night is a slip bobber the has a small led powered light attached to the top. I use a walleye hook with a good size split shot to hold your walleye minnow down at your desired depth. The slip bobber is useful because you can adjust your depth quickly until you locate the depth of the night feeding walleye and pickerel.

Well that concludes my article about night fishing pickerel. Have a great day!

Many fly fishing enthusiasts around the country spend a lot of money of their fly fishing gears that they end of eroding their bank account just to get the latest gear. This should not be the case. Although having the best fly fishing gear is good, one should never go broke on these things.

If you are one of those people who have been spending a lot of money of their fly fishing gear, it is time for you to take another look at your spending habits. Even if you have some money stashed away in the bank, it is not a good idea to be extravagant especially in these times of economic crisis. To help you save some money on your fly fishing gears, here are some pointers for you.

Buy Only The Things That You Need

A lot of people waste money on things that they do not really need. If you are one of those impulsive shoppers who tend to buy things that catch their attention while shopping, you better curb you impulses. Buying things on impulse is not a good idea. Besides, you don’t want to end up kicking yourself for wasting your money on something that you cannot hope to use in the near future.

Since you cannot expect to use every available fly fishing gear in a single fishing trip, you might as well just buy what you need and save some money. List down all the things that you will use during your fishing trip and then find out which of these fly fishing gears are already in your possession.

Buy only the things that you do not have yet and do away with those expendable things. If you must buy them, buy only what you need. A lot of your extra leaders, flies and lines will end up decorating your closet anyway so you might as well not buy them in bulk. This way, you get to save some money and at the same time prevent your closet from being cluttered with a lot of things that you do not even need.

Buy Rod And Reel Combination

If you are beginner, you should start by buying discount fly fishing gears like those rod and reel combination. Not only will you be able to save a lot of money on rod and reel combo, you also get to save yourself from all the trouble of trying to find matching rod and reel in different places.

Click Here To See A Secret Weapon For Crappie Fishing My Friend Discovered In 2004

crappie are one of the most plentiful gamefish that are stocked in all the lower 48 states and they go by many aliases such as calico crappie, speckled perch, speckled bass, white perch, pole crappies, strawberry bass, and papermouths. When the water temperature starts to warm slightly above more the 50 degrees farenheight it is time to get your crappie live baits and other crappie baits ready for the upcoming spring season of crappie fishing.

Paper Mouths will start their annual migration from their coldwater locations to key new foraging locations. In the north this early spring period will sart right after ice out and actually the temperature of the water will be in the high 30’s. and the month of the year normally will be sometime in March to Early April. In the south, paper mouths move from deep water when the temperature rises above 40 degrees to coves, and back ends of creeks, about the end of February to the end of march.

During this early spring period white perch are hungry and ready to feed. Remember though the water is still cold so you need to work your crappie baits slowly. Some very good crappie live baits to use are crappie minnows, shiners, small creek chubs, small gizzard shad, small threadfin shad, and small crayfish. You can catch crappie at this time a year in the southern regions using crappie jigs and plastics or crappie jig, live bait combinations in broad feed creeks, where the water warms faster. Channel bends with stumps will often hold crappies at this time of year also.

Speckled Bass in large lakes and reservoirs will stage and suspend over deep water 20 to 40 feet deep usually just beyond the first drop of leading into the shallow zones they will be using for their annual spawn. In most reservoirs the paper mouths will normally stage in creek arms so if you are going to be bait fishing for crappie in the early spring period you will want to use large crappie jigs to do your crappie fishing using large crappie minnows and shiners.

In small lakes and ponds pole crappies will suspend over the deepest holes waiting to go to shallow water for the annual spawn. So an ideal way to catch crappie in these waters is by using a slip bobber crappie fishing rig with a crappie jig head tipped with large crappie minnows and shiners. Also small crayfish will work. You will need to adjust your depth until you start catching crappie. The reason you want to use larger crappie live baits at this time of year is because you need to math the natural forage that the pole crappies is feeding on at this time of year. The white perch are feeding on what was left of the natural bait fish from
the previous year because the bait fish have not spawned yet so there will be no fry at this time of year.

Bass fishing, or should I say catching, can often times be a humbling experience. There are really no magic bass fishing tricks that you can use that are guaranteed to put bass in the boat or on the stringer every single time you go fishing. Bass just simply are not active and willing to bite any lure or bait that is put in front of them all the time. When the fishing is slow, as it is much of the time, you can’t go wrong with a worm.

When the fishing is slow and the bass don’t seem to be biting, people tend to make two crucial mistakes. They tend to fish too fast, or they move around from spot to spot in hopes to find some active fish. We all know that bass love plastic worms. The plastic worm is probably one of, if not the best, all around lures to use in any situation. However, it is definitely one of the best lures to use when bass are in an inactive mood.

Something to keep in mind, especially if you were catching fish in an area, is you don’t necessarily need to move to a different spot. Say for example, you were catching fish in an area on a fast moving lure such as a spinnerbait or a crankbait and then all of a sudden the fish seem to quit biting. This doesn’t mean that the fish have left this area it just means that they have become inactive. This is a perfect time to stay in this area and slow down your presentation. When bass become inactive they head for cover, and it’s time to tie on a plastic worm.

In order to be successful in these slow periods you must understand that the very existence of a bass revolves around cover. This is the time to tie on a plastic worm and look for cover such as weeds, logs, stumps, docks, or brushpiles, and fish close to or right in the cover. Use your worm to dissect the cover by making several casts from different angles. You will need to get your lure right in the strike zone in order to get an inactive bass to strike. Patience is the key. Work the worm slowly and methodically by hopping, dragging, and bouncing it over, through, and around the cover.

As mentioned above, there are no magic bass fishing tricks that are guaranteed to work. Worms come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. Select a variety of plastics worms and add them to your tackle box. Practice and patience are the keys to catching bass on them. I will guarantee that you will catch your share of bass on plastic worms if you stick with them, especially when the bass are inactive. You can’t go wrong with a worm.

In order to assist persons that are without prescription drug insurance and financially-besieged residents obtain the prescription medication that they badly need, there is an mounting community recognition that there are plans that supply prescription assistance program for free or practically free. Because of the state’s job loss rate now at a record high, the value of those plans is magnified. There are organizations that present a one stop result to more than 100 patient assistance programs that assist patients who are are with no personal medical insurance or under pressure financially.

So far, these programs have assisted millions of individuals find out if they may meet the requirements for help for prescriptions free or discounted prescription drugs. This is especially good news, for at this moment in time there are more people out of work than ever before over the previous 25 years. Individuals who qualify for relief from the participating prescription assistance programs get access to more than 2,600 brand-name and generic medicine. Americans in quest of relief from one of these companies may call up a toll-free number to talk to a trained advocate or log on the company’s web site. It only takes around 15 to 3 minutes to find out if you or someone you might know may perhaps meet the criteria for free or discounted prescriptions.

At a point in time when national unemployment is the highest in approximately five decades, those assistance programs has become an important link for a mounting quantity of individuals. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have been added to the unemployed rolls over the most recent several months and there could be a sharp rise in the number of our residents losing health care benefits. Hundreds of thousands of individuals are in need of prescription assistance including people who must have prescription medication to battle such devastating chronic diseases as arthritis, heart disease, back injury and asthma. Most workers who need help need it for more than one medicine. This can create quite a puzzling process for the reason that of all of the rules and regulations that has got to be finished, physician’s consent obtained and evidence of take-home pay submitted.

Prescription assistance organizations relieve the individual of all of that hassle by performing as the persons advocate and performing all of the responsibilities. These organizations charge a small fee for their service but it is well worth it. Typically these organizations will bring together everything concerning you, your medical doctor and the prescription drug companies. It can take somewhere from 3-9 weeks for a person to receive your prescription drugs so you have to apply early.
