I’m not a big fan of McDonald’s but when it comes to advertising I really start to like them. I bet no one could pass by these ads without stopping and actually reading the message.

DHL – Turning Page

I think that everybody who would turn this page would feel a little satisfaction inside. Moreover, this ad show what DHL does in the most straightforward way possible. Nice work! And as always genius ideas are the most simplistic ones.

Ok, now some drawbacks: 1) it’s pretty expensive as it uses 3 pages 2) these locations look quite the same, so it seems as though the package has traveled only 1 meter.

The ad is really cool and creative, but what if the elevator is full of people? Even one guy in the elevator would ruin the effect. As always – most of the ambient ads work best on the internet and not in reality. Yes, we are being overly picky here, but that is fun!

Basheer Graphic Books – Rainbow

Challenge

Basheer Graphic Books would like to promote Pantone color guide book to college art students and faculty, and to convince them that Pantone has the most color selection for their printing guidance.

Solution

To grab their attention they re-create a rainbow consist of Pantone color chips in the middle of college’s park. With 8 meter in length and height 4,5 meter. More than 5000 color chips were used to cover the arch.

Result

The rainbow creates a spectacle and students realize that Pantone has real life colors. Inquiries for Pantone books in Basheer Graphic Books also significantly increase.

Misereor. Ihr Hilswerk – Save Lives with 50 Cents

Passers-by could make 50-cent donations by throwing coins into slot in the poster. Piece by piece, the coins fill the acrylic cylinder of the injection’s syringe. Measurement units on the cylinder of the syringe show how many coins have already been donated and how many injections can be paid for with the amount – helping the Misereor relief organisation to vaccinate children around the world against infections.

We feel very excited every time we put and ad dedicated to helping other people, so let it be our 50 cents into this injection’s syringe.

Big Game Poker Sydney Championships – Hunt around

Despite what everyone says about the ad being poorly executed, we say, maybe, but overall the ad is good. An ordinary viewer probably doesn’t even notice those flaws, he only sees a strong image with a strong message. I believe, that those who play poker will easily get it and enjoy. If it was the other way around – superb execution, but a lame concept and weak message communication – the ad would be a waste of money.
