Hellcore Mailer - IMAP4 and translation update

It took me several months to complete, but finally there it is - an IMAP4 update. I've released it for Polish users back in the July, improving my IMAP implementation and fixing older bugs since then. I haven't totally forgot about international users and translation was updated as the UI was modified/extended, I just had no time (or courage...) to release it yet. Now, I did it and that should fix things for those who experience mysterious "format" errors when attempting to use new application core along with old translation.

Apart from new support for IMAP4 protocol, there were a lot of other changes. Unfortunately I haven't updated the changelog in the same manner as I did with the translation file - and because there were quite a few changes since original July release, I decided to postpone that by a day or two. You may always use online translation service - this should give you a general overview on what has been changed/fixed/added/optimized.

There's no "big" or anyway "final" release yet - if you're already an HCM user, just grab the newest daily builds of translation file (langs.7z), applicaiton core (hcm.exe) and support library (hcm_extra.dll) (and maybe a brand new JpegFast library) and unpack them to your HCM installation directory. Note that you will be unable to revert to previous versions of you upgrade. It's always a good idea to make a backup copy of your data - not only when upgrading.

It's finally here! There were a lot of changes and fixes, so here's only a brief list of most important things:

Better, more complete translation
New address book
Real newsgroups tree
New ways to attach files, for example by dragging attachments from other messages or by pasting from a clipboard.
Address Suggestions (based on usage frequency)
Simplified adding Gmail accounts
HTML and PDF viewing now within message window.
BeerLock (disables immediate message sending on specified hours)
Extended mouse support (additional buttons move between history items, horizontal scroll can be used to scroll horizontally)
QuickTexts
Copy on selection
Extended, on-fly spellchecking
Enhanced search, now with web-alike queries
External parsers now can be used for filtering message templates
Folder sorting
Lots of bug fixes and optimizations.

Finally there it is, complete (except for a few less important chapters that propably will not make it into final thing) help file in both HTML format and english language. Check it out at http://help.hellcore-mailer.pl!

It's the basis for webhelp that will be available for users preferring online helpfiles (since they're most up-to-date) and for the help file in compiled HTML format (CHM) that'll be distributed with program and available for reading offline. Creating it took some time and energy, but it helped me spotting (and fixing) another tons of language errors, typos and other mistakes. Nonetheless, that's just one-time job, and that's good, because it was unbelievably boring...

This also means that the HCM 0.6 release is not too far from now. Just need to fix a few bugs, polish up a few things, and off we go...!

Official announcement regarding HCM and Win32/Induc

Maybe you've heard about Win32/Induc virus. It's a unique beast because it does infect only Borland Delphi integrated development environments. To the best of my knowledge, only Delphi 4 to 7 are affected.

And here's the catch: Hellcore Mailer (among other my applications) is written in Borland Delphi 3 (three), which - so far - is NOT VULNERABLE.

Additionally, staging machine is protected by HIPS system built in Comodo Personal Firewall, which would easily fend off such threats. So there's really nothing to worry about.
