Well, well, well.

Long time no post. Sorrys but I am busy a lot of the time, but I will try to post...not as often as I wish but you know how it goes. Anyway, I've got some helpful tool bars and sweet deals for you newbie affiliates out there.

I got two toolbars. One is from SEO book and it helps you determine yours site's rankings and other sites rankings so that you can tweak your SEO and whatnot. It's a nice tool...I'm still a little clueless with it, but I did find some interesting stuff. You do need to opt-in to the newsletter to be able to signup but you can always opt-out later! Second, I found a toolbar called Cash Keywords and it provides tons of info. It readily puts keyword tools, demographics, trends, forums, adwords/adsense ads, articles, videos and photos that you can use. It's really awesome, especially if you are unfamiliar with internet marketing. I really highly recommend it and you can instantly download it (for Firefox). It's neat! Here goes.

The other sweet deal I wanted to mention is Niche Profit Classroom, which looks like a really awesome site with knowledgable people. Unfortunately, the regular price is 67 dollars a month. You can try it for 7 days for 1 dollar. Nothing to lose there...I'm thinking of doing it and then canceling because I can't afford 67 dollars a month now. Maybe that'll change soon :). One Week Marketing

Hey everyone,

I haven't been on here in a while, but that's because I've been busy reading and absorbing and my personal life has been really busy. That's the hard part of internet marketing, balancing life and doing your thing. It's even harder because being an internet marketer is not a traditional 9-5 job, but it still involves work, probably even more so when starting out. My problem with IM has been that I'm a very disorganized, chaotic person lol. So, it's hard for me to get started and figure out for sure where I want to go because there are so many overwhelming opportunities online.

That is why I finally decided to purchase PotPieGirl's "One Week Marketing" ebook. I just got it, so I'm on the first week, but I must say that I like it. It practically holds your hand through the process of setting up campaigns. Her principle is that you set up one campaign a week and then see where each campaigns go. The successful ones are the ones you want to focus on and the ones that are not you can just leave alone. The marketing is all done with free resources. Being that I don't have much money to spare, I'm going the FREE route for starters, until I really get my feet wet here. I recommend this book to anyone who is like me, or anyone who just needs a little handholding. It's worth every penny! You should definitely check out One Week Marketing.

My First Campaign

Today I am starting my first campaign and I'm gonna start with article marketing and see what else I can branch out to, possibly a blog or something. I'm starting with the weight loss industry, which is a huge one, but it's one that I have an interest in. I'm very weight conscious and I like learning about healthy ways to lose weight and maintain weight.

It's been really busy around here so I haven't had much of a chance to update, but I will post back when I've actually done an article.

Meanwhile, I'll just leave you with some useful info. about changes in Squidoo policy that may affect some IMers. The changes outline which products are forbidden to write lenses on. It's actually a good move because this will help more quality lenses on Squidoo. I can't post any weight loss articles unless they are very cleverly covered up. I'll give you the link so you can check it out.

My Best Results Come From This...

So I'm almost a total IM noob and I've considered doing many things, from article marketing, to websites, to blogs, etc. but there is one thing that has proved most effective thus far. FREE Social Bookmarking and Google Search Engine Optimization Starter Guide

Hey all!

For those of you who are aspiring marketers or bloggers, there is a wonder site for you! It is called Social Marker and it takes a lot of the work that you would have to do to submit your articles or blogs to different social networks. I haven't even used this puppy, but it's good! Just make sure that you have the same username across the networks. Mass promotion!

Second, I will give you the link to the Google Search Engine Optimization Guide ebook, which details certain Search Engine Optimization (SEO) skills that will come in handy throughout your IM career. It also points to some handy Google tools, specifically the
Google Website Optimizer Tool. It is a free tool and really helps you optimize your site.

The other win from Google is the Google Adsense Keyword Tool which is good for finding keywords for your niche. Remember the importance of having a niche? If you don't...it is the most important thing to have before you start. You can always change it if you are not making sales, but it is VERY important.

Finally, The Google Search Engine Optimization Guide is a must-read for beginners! If you know html and web design like the back of your hand it may not be a biggie, but it's still worth a look and it's only 22 pages. Very quick read! Enjoy!

I just wanted to end by saying that in the world of IM it is not uncommon for gurus and many experienced internet marketers to tell you that only they can help you achieve success as an internet marketer. I am inclined to believe that it is not true! There are so many sites on the internet promising to help you, when all they really do is pocket your money and teach you tactics that may be months behind what's selling now. It's hard NOT to fall for these scams, but I will tell you that you can learn everything you need to learn to become successful without paying a dime. There are many free tutorials, e-courses, ebooks, etc. The only bad thing is that you have to sort through these and figure out what is legit and what is hogwash.

If you're really dedicated, you can do this and if you're good at utilizing search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN etc. then you'll figure it out in no time. As for me, I need a little more guidance and support, which is why I believe in Wealthy Affiliate...I know I've mentioned it before but I've honestly learned more and faster with WA than with anything else I've read online. Maybe I'm just lazy lol. However, I am here to share with you the useful things that I have found with WA's help and through my own searching.

More Free Help for Beginning Internet Marketers!

I have found some really good free help for beginning internet marketers. There is some information on Associate Programs...be forewarned that some of it is just ads for paid materials that I cannot guarantee are any good. However, just browsing through, there are some resources that look pretty good. You just have to browse through. I will give you a link to a book that looks pretty good...and it's FREE! It's called the affiliate master's course and you can get it HERE.

Also, if you have a knack for writing and you have a blog, you can get paid for each post! There's a site called Pay Per Post and they pay about 11 dollars per 200 word post. You sign up, give them your blog link and description and then advertisers will bring you offers. If you're really serious about your blog, this may not be the best avenue because these posts are advertisements. But it's still good for some side cash. I haven't tried it myself, but if someone does...let us know if it's worked for you.

Another Neat Affiliate Program

I just wanted to say that I am very happy to have 2 subscribers to my blog...more than I even expected. Thanks!

Also, I wanted to give everyone the heads up...in case they didn't know about a neat affiliate program called MyNiche. It looks promising to me and I do recommend it because it has a forum and some nifty resources for internet marketers. This is a great FREE resource, especially if you don't have the money to join Wealthy Affiliate. I'm still doing the 8 week course at Wealthy Affiliate and so far it is teaching me a lot and helping me organize myself. Normally, I'm all over the place. At least MyNiche looks like it offers a great affiliate program and tools for you to use if you are very new to the business. Best of all...they give you a 15 dollar bonus just for signing up and another bonus if you upload a campaign and post in the forum :). Now that's some good money to start!

To Affiliate with ClickBank, Commission Junction, Amazon - Oh, the choices!

I've been researching some of the major affiliate networks out there and the one with the most promise (in my p.o.v.) is ClickBank. Of course, there are other small networks, but they are not the focus of this post. Perhaps that will be a future post.

ClickBank seems to be the one with most payout and some of the payouts are 125+ dollars for a sale.
Anyone is accepted!

Commission Junction and Amazon are nice too, but they are a bit rigid with accepting people and require a bit more from a person. If you're new, it might not be the best.

I also read that CJ can change their links to merchant pages whenever they feel like, so you would have to go back to your articles, forums, etc and change all of the links! ahhh! I also heard from some people that they don't necessarily credit a person's account in a timely manner, or that they can take away a credit without prior notice.

I confirmed CJ as being a no go for me by reading their Terms and Conditions...anyone can do this but I already took the time. All of the negatives are outlined right there in plain (very structured) English.

So, you may want to investigate for yourself, but ClickBank seems to be the way to go, just beware that they have lots of crappy products. Just research and find something good! Peace.

The Very Basics of Internet Marketing

It's true...the very basics of internet marketing are the hardest and most essential parts to understand.

If you don't know them yet, I will give you my understanding of them.
1. Choosing a good "niche" (specific product) for you. <---by far the hardest for me! So indecisive --;;

2. Keyword research.....research the crap out of those keywords and find the MOST relevant ones.

3. SEO (search engine optimization) skills - if you don't have those, then no one will see your pages. You have to know how to get to that glorified first page of the search results. This goes back to number 1 and number 2.

The gurus always mention these things, but someone very new to internet marketing won't necessarily understand the importance of these concepts. Heck, even I'm not sure I understand and my niche is having a hard time finding me. But without a niche you will waste countless hours promoting different things or writing articles without the proper joie de vivre.

Good luck to other newbies in finding a niche. Going with new products is also always good, but choose only one product to promote when you first start. This is probably the best advice I've heard.

Free Blog Templates and Site Creator

I just wanted to write real quick and provide some helpful links that could be good for anyone who is trying to create a blog or website.

The first is BTemplates and it has a ton of templates for your blog. I've been checking it out myself, but am indecisive what to go with. So many choices! --;;

Second site is called Wix and it provides templates and an editor to help people create snazzy looking little websites. I'm using it to make my own! Yays! ^^

Goals

Today I have accomplished a lot! Well, at least I helped my mom accomplish some things. :)

Now as far as IM, I've been reading and reading and reading on the Wealthy Affiliate forums. It's a lot, but the information on there is so worth it. I will put that info. to use when I make my campaigns. Ultimately, I realized that I have to get my butt into action and actually act on what I learn. That has often been a problem for me and I give up on things before they get a chance to grow. This is my ultiamte lesson in patience. This is probably similar to what others who have attempted internet marketing and failed have gone through.

So, to be successful, you must learn, but you must also practice and not be afraid to fail. We can't fail if we actually try and something is bound to stick. My resolution is to write down all of my ideas and I think my readers (if I have any lol) should do the same. I've gotten many ideas and it's helped me realize my goals more clearly.

I've decided to formulate two goals with what I'd like to do on the internet:
1. Create a better ghost hunting site for my pseudo ghost hunting org.
It is fun and I am passionate about investigating the paranormal.

2. Do something to help other people who have family members who have had a stroke.

Well, those are two of my goals in addition to my other IM goals. But these will keep me motivated :) I hope this post helped someone. Peace!

Find a Niche!

Currently, I am busy busy busy finding my niche! There are so many products on ClickBank...how to choose? Well, this is advice from me and other experienced marketers: stick with what you're passionate about or have some experience with. If neither of those situations applies then you still have to start somewhere.

I've been looking through ClickBank products and looking at the sales, returns, growth in sales, etc. and finding those which have potential for growth and sales. This is good for potential affiliates! So far i have narrowed my first niche down to the one suggested by WA just to get one under my belt. Then, I will go with the niche that I am most passionate about. At this point, I'm thinking of the gaming niche. I have yet to write any articles or mess with Pay Per Click, but I'm trying to learn, which I feel is best for me at this point.

To sum it up:
look at ClickBank (maybe you'll find something you own) and find something you're either
a. passionate about or b. you have experience with this type of products

If neither of those applies, look for products with good potential for growth. This will take research, but you will definitely be able to find something.

My advice: wait until you have your niche, or area you will focus on, before you start any type of campaign, whether PPC or Article Marketing.

Learning...

Ok...I don't know how many of you are already trying to learning internet marketing, but all I can say is: Don't give up!

Honestly, it will take time. But isn't any business or job worth putting your time into it? I've been telling my mom that I wouldn't mind if I could even just make up to 500 dollars a month. I'm aware that this will take time and a small monthly investment for Wealthy Affiliate, but I think of it as getting an education. This business isn't for anybody, but I'm sure that it is for me. The only thing is to not get bogged down in the learning. I have to learn more about organization and FOCUS, FOCUS and more FOCUS. It's the only way I'll ever earn a dime.

Before trying internet marketing the real way, I was always looking to get fast money. That is a setup for being let down. I found that I must nourish myself with information and not forget to take care of myself and my family. In time, I will make money and possibly enough to sustain myself on without having to get a stupid 9-to-5 job. Isn't it even more awesome to be able to use your time freely?

Keep doing what you're doing and if you don't have much time, if you can just find an hour or two, then do it! We can make goals together. I want to interact with readers of my blog and brainstorm. Come on, let's get together and learn! :D

Hey there!
My name is Moni, or Modina and this is my new blog about Internet Marketing. Recently, I quit my job because my mom had a stroke and I had to relocate from New York to Arizona to help care for her. Needless to say, I do have some spare time at the moment, but not much! I am starting this blog in hopes of helping others who are considering getting into Internet Marketing or looking for reliable ways to make money online.

Just a disclaimer...I'm not gonna be one of those people promoting 'get rich quick schemes' or anything of the sort. I just joined a site called Wealthy Affiliate University. There's a 1 dollar trial period going on right now and I thought I would try it out. The information is plentiful, but the most helpful aspect of the site has been the forum. As a 'noob' it's easy to become bogged down or overwhelmed. My advice as a noob who is still learning the ropes is to find your niche. Try to narrow down what you want to promote to just a couple of things and start promoting the one you're most comfortable with. It's easier to promote products that have personal appeal, but marketing is marketing and it's not necessarily what you market, but how. This is all stuff you learn at Wealthy Affiliate. I honestly recommend to anyone trying to get into the world of Internet Marketing to join. It will save lots of time and money in searching for free resources. Consider it an investment in yourself.

This blog is called Nourish and Flourish because the only way one can truly succeed online is to gain knowledge and understanding about the online market. It is by no means an overnight, or autopilot adventure. This will require work, but if you are willing to nourish yourself with information and you have the drive to do this, then you will surely flourish! ^____^
