Don’t you just love Fall in New England?  The colors, the leaves, the crisp air!  It is obvious these two brothers do!  We photographed these fun little guys at Elizabeth Park in West Hartford just last week.  Our state is full of great parks to photograph in anytime of year.  At Heartprint Photography you have the option of having your session take place in our studio, outdoors at your location of choice, or a combination of the two. We can even come to your home and set up lights inside for a great family portrait!  We photograph outdoors year round as well.  How much fun to have a winter on location portrait session of your family building a snowman, hiking in the woods, or sled riding, call for all the details.

Here is another Connecticut’s High School Senior guy that we photographed.  Guys and cars just seem to go together!  This is a fun image that we shot along with all the more traditional portraits. This would be really fun blown up large as a gallery wrap or metallic mounted poster print for a college dorm room!  We created a few different versions of this image for the high school senior to pick from, the first is our favorite, but they all are fun!

  Already had yearbook pictures done at the school? Don’t let that stop you from getting great senior portraits! This portrait of  a flower girl is from a local Connecticut Wedding that we photographed at the Colonial Tavern in Oxford (Southbury) Connecticut, just one of many beautiful local wedding venues in the Southbury, Oxford, Monroe, and Woodbury Connecticut area.   The Colonial Tavern is just minutes from Southford Falls, where you will find a covered bridge, ponds, falls, hiking trails and picnic areas.  It is a very popular spot for wedding pictures, High School Senior, or family portraits.  In the last year we have shot all, plus engagement sessions at Southford Falls.  Oxford is also home to The Oxford House , and is not far from The Crown Plaza , Southbury, the luxury accommodations at The Heritage Hotel, Southbury, or the sophisticated The Waterview, in Monroe.  We would love to show you sample wedding images from some of Connecticut’s finest wedding venues, schedule an appointment to view samples at your leisure.

Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel, Connecticut-Wedding-Photographers-CT--Monroe-Photography

Last week we photographed a beautiful wedding in Monroe, Connecticut at the Our Lady of the Rosary Chapel , followed by an elegant reception at Roberto’s Restaurant and Banquet Facilities also in Monroe.  Couples ask what they need to do to prepare for the best photography coverage on the wedding day.  At Heartprint Wedding Photography we will provide you with an information page to fill out detailing any emergency contacts, as well as cell phone numbers of trusted friends or relatives, as well as any last minute requests you may have for us.  We also encourage the couple to provide a short list of what they would consider the “must have” and “would really love to have” shots of the wedding.  Additionally, If at all possible, we like to visit the wedding site and venue prior to the actual day. We meet with your coordinator, officiant, manager to confirm specific policies and meet the people we will be working with on your big day.  We  like to scout out possible locations for the portrait shots, as well as take a few test shots to determine lighting requirements.  Even if we have been to the same venue for past weddings, as seasons and times vary, so will  photographic requirements.  These images are from this location’s test shots.  Enjoy!

Here is one of our recent favorite newborn images!  The newborn baby sleeping on the lambswool rug, and the deep warm wood tones of the basket and floor really add a richness to this image.  Can’t you just image it hanging on the wall in the baby’s room?
