Over the years as holistic practitioners and holistic coaches ourselves, as well as training many people, we’ve noticed areas where people tend to succeed and fail.  Let’s examine three ways to success so you can experience more of the heart of success… in your work and life.

THREE PROS AND CONS FOR THE HEART OF SUCCESS

Pro and Con #1: Holistically minded people and heart-centered professionals are caring and empathetic. They feel others’ stress and wish to relieve their suffering.

The challenge is they can be too caring and try to save people, even those who are not ready for their help. This creates an imbalanced situation where you try to help people who are unwilling to help themselves.

Solution: Find your ideal clients or people you wish to serve. Otherwise you attract needy people into your life. Or you end up chasing those who don’t wish your help, however valuable it may be.

Think about those you wish to serve (those who are open, appreciate your services, can afford you, are worth your time, etc). Use your caring and intuition and choose to connect with people who have these right qualities. Then you will value your time and energy as they will, too. It will be so much more enjoyable, for you and them.

Pro and Con # 2: Being aware of fairness and inclusiveness. Knowing that discrimination based on race, religion, sexual preference is wrong is a powerful awareness.

The challenge comes with judging those who are not fair. Sooner or later, you find out your shadow is as oppressive to those who are intolerant of others.

By focusing on how things are unfair, you also start to see people as victims and disempowered — which can include yourself.

Solution: Start to be more accepting of those whose actions you dislike. As with forgiveness, you can forgive the transgressor without approving of the transgression itself.

Pro and Con #3: Being environmentally sensitive. You understand the earth is a living entity and we are all connected. Eco-destruction ultimately becomes self-destruction.

The challenge again is and us versus them mentality. As you clean up your own personal external and internal trash, it’s easier to live in balance… with yourself, others and the earth. Using EFT is a great way to clear the blocks, so you can be free.

Solution: You strive for improvement, without becoming a zealot and intolerant of others, even if they are corrupt, polluting or ignorant.

THE CREATIVE PLANE

You’re going to have trouble being compassionate, fair and help the world if you resent people you consider rich and powerful. Actually, if you become rich and powerful yourself, you can help more people, can’t you?

Here’s the way to success… the solution to our problems – being uncaring, unfair, environmentally destructive — comes from a higher awareness.  Wallace Wattles in the Science of Getting Rich called it “The Creative Plane.” Here you rise above us vs them competition. Here you create what you want to make it a better world.

Then you accept ambiguity and paradox. You sense the whole and allow the creativity to stir your soul to action.

Then you can serve yourself, others and the earth so much better.

Fear of money can prevent you from experiencing the heart of success. Yes, money can make you a bit crazy. Denying that you want or need money can make you even crazier.

Do you have a fear of money? We’ve found that overcoming this common fear is essential to the heart of success. It’s certainly been part of our journey.

There is often a dis-connect between having money and consciously wanting money. Of course, when it comes time for paying bills, traveling and investing in our education, we do want the money. And then any claims to not caring about money rapidly disappear.

There’s clearly some unconscious “stuff” going on, so let’s examine this conflict more closely. Here are three common issues that holistically minded people, in particular, struggle with…

(By the way, we know about these three areas from personal experience and don’t want it to hold you back)

1. Fear of being greedy and materialistic

To resolve these troublesome feelings, focus on what Wallace Wattles in The Science of Getting Rich describes as your “right to be rich.”

You do want the access to resources that money provides, right? When you have ample resources, you’re empowered to help yourself and others.

As the saying goes, “When you have nothing, you have nothing to give.” The idea is to be resource rich, not resource poor.

The same drive and determination to gather these resources also serves you to fulfill your higher purpose.

2. Reacting to the CNN Mainstream Reality

The mainstream media has its shortcomings. It dwells on the negative and discounts alternative cultures and ideas. Yet simply rejecting the mainstream approach is not the answer. It leaves you in a no-man’s-land, focusing on the negative. You are then immobilized by focusing on what you don’t want.

Instead, think success. Identify what you want and who you want to become. Then focus on this “Law of Increase” daily.

3. Being above money and detached from it

“I wouldn’t want to dirty my hands with that cold, hard cash.” Well, this can be a subtly arrogant attitude; in effect, saying, “I’m above this coarse, harsh world. I’m better than that.”

Yet isn’t the goal to bring heaven down to earth? To integrate the higher with our everyday world.

We recommend using EFT for abundance - that is, EFT tapping to clear negativity around money (and anything else).
