 I have been  holding off on my sugar intake today so that I can indulge in some eggnog this afternoon.  Grilled Cheese sandwiches with crumbled bacon!  And we paired it up with tomato soup.  By eleven a.m. I was ready for a snack and I chose a mixture of plain and strawberry yogurt... can&#39;t stand plain yogurt but I&#39;m definitely cutting back on the sweet version. I also added 2 teaspoons of sunflower seeds.  I really need to add a piece of fruit but the yogurt was as much as I could manage. I will have to be sure to add the fruit at lunch.

 Yesterday no one felt like making lunch so I made a pot of plain oatmeal and tossed in couple a sachets of Apple and Cinnamon Oatmeal. It actually tasted not half bad! I even chopped a few walnuts into the mixture for good measure!!  I now how enough for a couple of snacks too if I really don&#39;t feel like even thinking up a snack lol!

 you love apple pies, we found that by combining the dwarf apples along 
with the crab apples, the end product is an awesome tart flavour that is
 perfect with ice cream or hot custard.  We tend to flip back and forth 
between apple pies and apple crisp, depending on our moods. 

ps... try juicing the crab apples. Amazing alone or mixed with sparkling water.

Flatbread turned into a pizza.  All the toppings were taken out of the fridge and we made our own. This is an easy one.   Penne pasta with a spinach sauce which is tastier than you might first expect. It&#39;s basically onions and garlic sauted and the toss in a good few handfuls of finely chopped spinach.   Combine all and then throw it all in a blender to form a sauce.  Add a handful of chopped walnuts to the mixture and then finish it off with a topping of grated cheese.

 Guess that I&#39;m not having an Egg and Sausage McMuffin. Just asked (did I say that I don&#39;t do any of the cooking in our house?  I passed that over to my husband who actually likes it... don&#39;t ask me why but anyway he just announced that we are having bacon and tomato sandwiches so that we can use up the perishables. And it has to be toasted... bacon and tomato on plain bread tastes awful!

Guess that it is all in what your mood is at the moment. We are on vacation and hubby offered to make me a Egg and Sausage on an English muffin but it didn&#39;t appeal to me. I had Bran Flakes and Fruit Loops lol.  I usually love &quot;Egg McMuffins&quot; but not today!  I might be interested in it for lunch today though!!

Hey, it&#39;s Monday...

Bran Flakes with a sprinkling of Fruit Loops. Guess I&#39;m still a kid at heart. Haven&#39;t had Fruit Loops in years, but I actually enjoyed it! And seeing that nobody else in the family wants it, it&#39;s all mine. Actually I read the ingredient list, and it&#39;s not all that bad!

I really have to work on having a bigger breakfast though.  I guess that there is something to not having much of an appetite!  Today, I have the other half of the burger I knew I wasn&#39;t hungry for last night!   You have to love left-overs.  I guess the trick is to always make more than you think that you are going to need...

I do have room for the Christmas Cookies that I bought at Aldi&#39;s however...

 Good thing that I have a small appetite because I only ate one slice of pizza and shared what the restaurant called a small Cranberry Nut Salad. Last night... we finished off the Eggplant pizza and my Margarita pizza. There&#39;s something to be said for left-overs, especially when they come from a restaurant!!  Oh, I forgot. Darling Daughter placed a plate laden with fresh veggies.
