Want some awesome stuff!?!?!

Going to make a happiness collaboration video project!!!

Here's the deal. We are going to barter.

The first few people who sends me a video about happiness will receive a magnet and a hand written postcard from me! (I don't have many magnets...since I sort of gave some away due to excitement, but I might make more later on)

Portrait Project

The photograph on the left is my grandma when she was 20 with my mom.
My Obaa-chan (grandmother) is visiting from Japan at the moment and I am working on a custom portrait for her. I've already finished a practice sketch and this weekend I plan to start working on a larger sheet of paper!!
I will be using graphite to recreate this photograph.
I kind of wish I mastered oil, but the past 3 years I've been focusing more on charcoal and graphite.
Maybe I'll experiment with oil next year.

Second date

Okay so far I haven't been slacking off on putting something up every week. Woohoo!
This necklace called "Second date".
I really like the round beads with the clear beads.
There's a close up picture and more information on why I chose these specific beads at my Etsy store.

It's spring and strawberries are in season!
These earrings are called Ichigo. I'm pretty sure you can all guess what that means.
What are your favorite fruits?
I definitely enjoy strawberries, but lately I've been eating lots of kiwis.
So yummy.

New jewelry of the year on Etsy!

This one is an older design but it's new on my etsy store!
I have been lagging to put something up on there, but I appreciate all of you for being so patient with me (I'm really busy, but I guess that's not much of an excuse....).
I have decided to try and post one piece of artwork or jewelry per week so please be excited!!!
Okay, now I would like to introduce you to these Hatsukoi earrings.

For those who don't know Japanese, Hatsukoi means first love. My first love was a very pinkish color because I blushed a lot.
I am not sure if any of you have a different color in mind.

Today I became a year older and it was 10 years ago when my family sent me to live in America.
Wow. Time really flies.

Not really sure what changed about me except for the fact that I am a better artist.
Still unsure what my main focus of art will be, but hopefully I'll find out in the next 10 years or so.
Life has been a little stressful as certain improvements take a lot of time and effort (I tend to be a little impatient at times).
At least I haven't given up or ran away from my passion to stay creative.

As I get older, investing in knowledge to achieve my dreams has been the biggest importance in my life.
Hopefully I stop forgetting things I just learned.

I'm pretty excited for this new age and cannot wait to show more of my artwork to the world.
Life is good.

Art Show

Fun-A-Day Prjoect & Show on February 18th!

Finally!!!! I get to show couple of my artworks in San Diego! I'm pretty excited because most of the shows I've participated was in LA, so this is something new.

I am currently working on a piece, but I don't know if I like it or not.
Having no clue what my piece will end up looking like is a scary thought.

Either way an exciting new year for lots of creations.

Book Contest!

I have made the video for the book contest and is sending it to Tanaka-san at the moment.
It was a really difficult decision, but please don't feel bad if I didn't choose you. Just be happy for others.
Plus the book is not ridiculously overpriced like many art books so I am sure anyone can purchase one if they really want a copy!

Anyways, I wanted to show you my earrings I made that's in the contest announcement video.

So I am on my small break from art classes and need to keep practicing.
I've been searching the web for good head shots, but it's been a difficult journey since most of them are...meh.

Vlog 4

My drawing skills still needs improvement, but at least I've sold over a 1000 portraits during my time as a portrait artist in my college days so I guess that's a good thing.
I'm a bit impatient and want things to happen overnight like everyone else. Oh well.

By the way, I finally made a vlog 4 portrait study video since I bought new pencils!!!
Hope you all enjoy and see me become the artist I want to be.
Thanks for watching my Youtube videos and being a fan of what I love to do. It forces me to become more creative and motivated.

Hey check out my earrings!
Okay this is a really really bad picture of it because you can't see the actual jewelry itself.
I've been getting home from work a lot later so I haven't found the time to shoot my jewelry in daylight. I know these are excuses and I must take better pictures on the weekends.
Also I've been really bad and haven't put anything on Etsy.

Anyways, I just felt like blogging today.
I am forcing myself to overwork in order to pay for my art classes, bills and other necessities that I think it is driving me mad. It is good in a way because I come up with a lot of creative ideas under stress. Not really good for my diet though because I am constantly eating which forces me to exercise once or twice a week.

By the way, I video recorded myself drawing!!!
You won't see my face, but it's more of myself keeping track of my progress on fine tuning my skills. I will upload that sometime soon!

So be stoked! Yeah!!!

During my college days I enjoyed photography and made lots of prints. I really really really hated color photography though because it was a pain in the butt to develop them.
Luckily, last year I was able to purchase a DSLR that I could take with me on my adventures.
Anyways, I just wanted to share some pictures I took last year which I added on to my Imagekind.
It's more of a travel album I am compiling of things that I saw and want to share with people who like my creations.

Here are some cute earrings I made, which I also made for a friend a while back.
I don't really have that many of these beads, but I might make more of these earrings and put them up in my etsy in the future.
Do you think I should experiment and make necklaces with them as well?

Coral Earrings

Life has been pretty busy, but I always try to find time to be creative as that's what makes me happy the most.
I've been doing some practice sketches, but unfortunately I cannot show them to you on here since I don't have a scanner....Maybe I'll go look for one at garage sales sometime soon.
Anyways, I wanted to share you my coral earrings I've made that I love so much.
They are so fun to wear with certain outfits.
I've been making a lot more earrings lately and thinking of duplicating some of the jewelry I own so some of you can buy some!!! We'll have matching pairs and it would be so cute!
I'm also going to come up with awesome wearable art for men, but I'm having a little trouble.
Maybe cool neckties or something like that or maybe cool hand painted canvas shoes.
Please challenge me to make something awesome.
I know I haven't posted anything on my etsy lately, but maybe I'll make enough to have a collection on there soon. In the mean time you can e-mail me at Art@Remifeb.Com and request custom jewelry that you've seen me make or whatever you desire.
There might be a wait list though because Christmas is right around the corner so if you plan to ask for something to be made please allow me at least 3 weeks.

Hello.
I thought I should update my blog with a vanity picture of myself.
Anyways, I just finished my 8 week art class so I will share my practice sketches soon.
I was going to sell my practice sketches a while ago...and yes I haven't gotten around to it yet. Probably need to set up an ebay account for it I suppose.
I really want to donate half of the money I earn from my art to a good cause.
I've been looking at "Doctors without Borders," what do you all think of them?
It says that 87% of it goes to program activities, so it seems to be a good one.
I've donated to Unicef before, but I'm not really sure what's the best.
Life has been very hectic as usual, but I am still trying to find time to make something everyday.

Sorry no video updates though.

I was commissioned to create these earrings!
The man who asked me to make these is giving them to his wife who loves blue roses.
It took me forever to get these rose beads...but after a month they came and I made them right away!

Aren't they adorable?
I think I might have to make one for myself.

Storytelling

Back in college I used to take a script writing class and my fellow classmates and professor always loved my stories. My professor even told me that I should consider pursuing a career in script writing.

Anyways, I'm going to blog my weekend because maybe one day I could incorporate it in a short script one day.

I called in sick to work this morning (Monday) because I didn't feel very well. Not physically, but mentally the weekend has taken a lot of energy out of me.
On Saturday evening my car was stolen. I was at my friends house and left my jacket on the couch with my car keys in the pockets. There was quite a lot of people there.
It was supposed to be a house party with close friends, but people started inviting random people and it just got way out of control.
I didn't think about the possibilities of someone actually stealing my car....
When I went back to my jacket to go home, my keys were gone.
As I headed outside...the car was also gone.
This was definitely a life lesson I needed to learn for leaving valuable things around.
Nothing this horrible has ever happened to me.

On Sunday, the sheriff's department called me to inform that they were able to find my car, but it had major damages. The lady on the other end of the line laughed while she told me. I have no idea why, but maybe she was nervous or just plain insensitive about how I felt. She gave me a number to the towing yard to discuss about my car and then she hung up.
The thought of facing my car made me want to vomit.
According to the towing company, my car was found in ravine, pushed off a 100 foot cliff.
It's interesting because when I reached to the point of rage, I started to laugh.
Not really sure why that is, but maybe it's my brain trying to make myself optimistic about the situation.

So when I got to the towing yard today I saw my car and it was totaled.
My heart sank.
The thieves stole my house keys and information from the glove compartment so I needed to change all the locks to my house.
It really upsets me that someone could do this to another human being.
I then began to cry from anger.
Unfortunately, nothing will bring my car back.
This incident made me realize that I shouldn't be so attached to a piece of metal.

If this was the worst thing that happened to me, I should consider myself lucky.
Why on earth should I let these low-lives get the best of me.
I'm not going to be upset about this situation anymore.

The happiest moment was when I found my art supplies in the car.
If I have art then what else do I need.

I guess things will be slow for a bit, but I'll be right on track after I get everything sorted out.
My deepest apologies if you were all excited about me selling my art soon.
It's going to be postponed for a bit until I get this taken care of, but I'll be right on track as soon as you'll know it!!!

Cleaning

So I'll be cleaning my house soon and was thinking to get rid of some of my past creations.
Just can't have too much clutter around me at the moment.
Hopefully once I get organized, I'll be putting old works on ebay starting from a dollar and you can bid on them.
What do you all think?
I'm also thinking about donating some of the money if it gets to a good price, but I am not sure which organization I could give to.
I've given to UNICEF before, but what do you all think about the Red Cross?
Maybe I could donate to a children's hospital in my city....

All ideas are welcome at this point.
