Among other things, Joseph Tung, executive producer of Halo: Reach, confirms full matchmaking support across the board in a very lengthy 17 minute interview. This means that you won’t have to wait around for friends to get online to start a firefight game or play through a campaign mission with the security of a buddy or two ..or three. Grab a cup of tea, or your favorite soda pop and watch this interview! You won’t be disappointed.

Major Nelson recently posted up some sweet sound effects that the new Halo: Reach themed Xbox 360 Slim will feature. One for the power and the other for the trey. The assumption is that the sounds will come from your TV or home theater system. The only issue that may arise is that newer home theater systems and HD televisions often take a long time to start-up and find audio and video signals. Unless you turn on everything else first, then hit the power button on the Xbox 360, you may miss the audio. Anyway, MN uploaded them as MP3 and M4R(for iPhones). Go check them out!

..and if you missed the seven minutes of gameplay Bungie released over the weekend, here it is!

It doesn’t come as much of a surprise that Bungie’s “Going out with a bang!” video game has reached the top charts in terms of pre-orders. VGchartz has the statistics and it looks as if Halo: Reach is way ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops despite Black Ops being in it’s 14th week of availability to pre-order and Reach only being in it’s 6th. Halo: Reach has also succeeded Modern Warfare 2 for the same week.

Reflection is an incredible re-make of Halo 2’s Ivory Tower. Staying very true to the original map, Reflection features the waterfall rocket launcher spawn as well as the infamous elevator in the back but has a very bright and gold finish to it. Spire is intended for Invasion to be played on it but with a flip. This time, Spartans will rush the base as Elites hold the fort. A large spire holds the final fight as things get very intense at the top.
