Indeed, a weird problem. And a challenge…

It would be great if you could provide the URL’s where the TOC didn’t work (and where it did). There must be a reason why it worked on one, and not on the other.

I’m using this plugin in my blog. However there was this weird problem where it is showing the TOC in one post, and not showing the TOC in another post.

I checked the source, it is already creating the anchor for each header correctly, just that the TOC is not appearing. Put in several echos in the plugin code to trace, noticed that the headers count is increasing correctly in the doHeader function, but is back to zero-length in the beginning of the doTOCShortcode function.

Commented out $this->headers = array(); (first line of function collectTOC), and the problem is gone. Not sure how was this causing the problem, but personally I think this line is redundant even if it’s there since the headers variable is already initialized, and new instance of the plugin will always be created for each page execution, no?

Anyway, great plugin. I’m using it along with your WordPress Tweaks and Discreet Text Widget.

Is it possible to take the little link to connect with your site off? I usually wouldn’t mind it being there as I appreciate the plugin and want to turn people on to your site, but it shows up in a place where I don’t want the viewer to leave my site, it’s part of the order form for my readings that I offer.
