GOOD POINTS: My wife and I use it every day. It is solid as a rock and quiet. We absolutely got our money's worth and I'd buy it again, hands-down.

BAD POINTS: It is MASSIVE! Because we bought this from Amazon, it came shipped to us just like you'd think. But at 200+ lbs, it remained in our garage until five guys from church came and carried it to our basement. Once there, I had to assemble it.

Mind you, assembly is mostly-done for you. But there's work for you to do, and don't make any mistake about it. Setting this thing up takes time and effort, but it's worth it.

ADVICE: buy this from the manufacturer's web site and pay for their White Glove service. If you do, once it arrives someone will lug it to any room in your home and *then* assemble it for you. Trust me on this, just spend the money and let someone else deal with it! Learn from my mistake. If you opt to save money like I did, you will be sorry you did when this thing arrives at the end of your driveway. At least I was.

One last thing: make sure where you put it has an AC outlet nearby. You will need it (this thing needs power). If you do like me and put it in your basement, go out and buy a power-strip (with a 10-foot or more cord) and have it handy, so the installation people can plug it in once it's all assembled. In our case, I even taped-down the power-strip cable to the floor, so you don't trip over it.

Again, once assembled and where it's suppose to be in your home, this is money well spent. I can't tell you enough how solid and reliable it is. Just pay someone else to deal with the set-up hassle and you'll be all set.

►Like the other reviewers have mentioned, this treadmill is HUGE. I've owned 3 others in the past and this one has the biggest "head unit" (where the display is located) of any I've owned. The belt seems a bit narrower because I am always nicking the sides when I run.

The display is pretty good, but if I have one complaint other than the non-colored characters (blue or orange would have been better to see in low lighitng): The Speed and Distance swap. I honestly thought from the manual I had downloaded and reading the description that these would both display all the time. To me, these are two things that should ALWAYS be shown. Other things that are less important ARE shown: Heart Rate, Incline percentage (who the heck needs to see that ALL the time?), and Calories burned. Time is also shown separately, but I do consider this one to be important. To me, the items that should ALWAYS show on their own are Speed, Distance, and Time. The rest can swap. Heart Rate especially seems like a strange item to always display since you have to grip the bars to get anything other than "P" displayed.

The reason this layout bothers me is if you happen to end your workout while the Speed/Distance part of the display is on the Speed, you will never know what the Distance was unless you restart the treadmill and let it run until it's time for the Distance to display again. This is what really causes me to give this treadmill a 4 and not a 5.

But this brings me to something that I didn't see explained in the manual that IS a big bonus: when you press Stop it is actually only Pausing so that you CAN continue to work out with the last known stats as long as the treadmill hasn't been powered down (which happens after a few minutes of non-use) or as long as you haven't pressed Stop twice. The button is not labeled Pause, though, so it's not necessarily intuitive.

As for its performance, the only treadmill I had that was as comfortable was my Vision Fitness. This thing runs smoothly, feels comfortable, and costs about four-hundred dollars less than the Vision Fitness. I've only had it for about 3 weeks, but I run on it at least 2 times per week and walk all the other days. It seems durable and doesn't shake much at all. The drink holders could be a bit wider (or maybe just one of them), but it holds a bottle of Propel just fine. I didn't get my free water bottle for some reason.

I bought this direct from Smooth and had the White Glove/complete install service. I agree with the reviewer who said PAY the EXTRA. Seriously, it's humongous and I can only imagine how much a pain it would be getting it inside my house. The people who put it together are the delivery folks, though, and they told me they get to see a short video on how to assemble ONE model of Smooth's treadmills. It showed. They got it done, but treadmill pros would've taken a lot less time and gotten less confused. All in all, I am quite pleased with this treadmill, however. I'd go for a smaller one in an apartment unless you don't bother with furniture.

►We live in the country on the great plains. Keeping in shape during
the spring and summer is easy, but when the cold winds and snow start
to blow across the prairie, it is impossible to walk the 2 to 3 miles
that I do during the warmer season. I've wanted a treadmill for years,
I've tried cheaper brands that didn't work or broke after a few months.
This is the absolutely best product that I've ever walked on. I've only
had it about 2 weeks, but have already lost several pounds and my jeans
are getting looser, so I know the inches are coming off. The features
that this machine has is superb! A fan to cool you off, two places for
water or gatorade. For an intense workout, set the incline higher. I do
want to mention, that this is a huge machine, it is not for a small space,
even though it is possible to fold-up the deck, it is very, very heavy,
so it will be great to clean under, but not to store away between uses,
as it weighs almost 300 pds. We also have a bowflex weight machine and
now have turned a small spare bedroom into a workout room, next we are
planning to put a flat-screen tv in there, so that will be an incentive
to not be a couch potatoes and to workout and watch our favorite shows and
movies, and get into shape during the long cold winter. If you do choose
to order this product, and choose free shipping, it will take 3 to 4 weeks
to get the machine. But it will save you around $200 for the free shipping
and well worth the wait.

►Well built machine. Sturdy, powerful, quiet. However, we have had issues with the incline. When adjusting the incline sometimes the whole unit just shuts down. We have contacted bowflex to inform them of this problem. They have yet to get back to us...

►My husband and I are really enjoying our Horizon Fitness T93 Treadmill. He uses it for jogging, and I use it to walk hills. It was quick and easy to put together (only took an hour). ►Was so looking forward to getting this, was not disappointed with purchase, only drawback was took a long time to put together, and please follow directions not to tighten all the screws until all parts are assembled. Learned the hard way, tighted screws and then proceeded to opposite side and holes did not line up, had to loosen opposite side. Also one of the bolts was too big for the hole, thought of using drill to widen, but then would have lost the threading , so i took apart other side and switched screws, so happened one hole was larger on one side than the other so that worked !!! Wonderfully long , for those w' long stride, well built , easy to read monitors, great position of handles. Very Happy with this treadmill, did use heavy foam pads on carpet, very low noise, Great Deal, inexpensive for what u get, old treadmill was bulky and not long enough for my stride/ running or walking my toes w/ hit the front , I would highly recommend the T90 !

►Extremely unstable. Hard to walk on the belt. Additionally, I get static shocks from holding on to the metal bars on the sides therefore I need to grip the rubber part on top but that makes walking even more unstable. It is not a "smooth quiet operation" as the ad states. I will return the item. I wish I had not thrown away the box. I know I will never use it now. It is a waste of time and money.

►This product was pretty much what I expected. It was not too difficult to assemble. However, it should come with some lubricant for the belt, it was a bit "jerky" at the beginning. After using some lubricant on the belt it was much smoother.

►After doing a ton of research on treadmills for months, this treadmill had everything I wanted. The number one feature which led me to this treadmill is the hand controls on the rails to increase and decrease speed and incline. You do not see a lot of treadmills with this feature. I am the kind of person that gets bored easily but not with this treadmill. The display is incredible and very well lit. Very quiet motor - I didn't even have to turn up the radio. ►After years of using treadmills at gyms and in others homes, I wanted find the right model for me. I'm 6'5";265 pounds and an avid jogger/runner. To keep it simple, this unit is tough, powerful and long enough for someone of my size and work-out schedule. ►I love the treadmill. Smooth, quiet, comfortable. My husband is 6' 3", 225 lbs. and he has the same feeling. He was worried that the deck wouldn't be long enough for him (it is) or sturdy enough (it is). We both run intervals and find the transitions are easy for both the speed and incline. ►The F63 is the best treadmill in it's price range. I know because I basically tested out every single one I could find in my price range. This machine by far is the best one. It was pretty heavy to bring inside, I'd recommend having a friend or two to help get it in the home. It was an easy set up though, some reviews I read said the machine was too big but the dimensions I found on the machine were accurate so I just measured in the room where it was going and it fit perfectly.
It's been about a month now and I haven't had any issues. I haven't been using all the programs as much as I thought mostly because I just like the cardio best. I'm too weak to use just the manual I wouldn't challenge myself enough if I did. I need that program to keep me consistent.
All in all I'm happy with this treadmill.

►I researched treadmills for 3 weeks before deciding on this Horizon model. My husband and I both wanted to be able to do Cardio at home in the mornings before work. Previously, we had owned a Reebok and while it was tolerable, we were looking for better overall quality and durability this time around. I ordered this machine on a Wed. morning, Amazon shipped it that afternoon via ABF Freight and it was delivered to my driveway 48 hrs later. (We subscribe to PRIME and FYI--it is fabulous and well worth it!) No damage whatsoever. They do not bring it in and it is very-very heavy so have a helper or dolly on hand. We had it up and running in about 35-40 mins.

Pros:
1. This machine is durable. Unlike our old Reebok, my 200 pound husband can run flat out without feeling like the treadmill may break. We each use it daily and I believe that it will last us years.

2. I like the longer length and wider width of the track for running.

3. I also like the fan and while I don't use the mp3/Ipod speakers (we have a stereo in our workout room) they would be convenient for someone who does.

4. Bright, easy to read screen

Cons:

1. The only real con that I have come up with is pretty minor in the scheme of things--the main on-off switch is located on the bottom front of the machine. You can turn the machine on and off via the screen, however the screen remains lit and undoubtedly still draws electrical energy. Thus you have to turn it off each time via the main switch on the front bottom which is a problem for us because we keep the treadmill facing a wall. Slight inconvenience, so it loses one point for that.

Overall I would absolutely buy this machine again, it's a good buy.

►I owned a Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill for a couple of years. It was repaired several times after suffering mechanical and electrical problems, but never again ran properly. After disappointing customer service with Bowflex (Nautilus), I replaced it with a Sole F80. When comparing my ownership experience with both treadmills, I recommend the Sole F80.

Bowflex Series 7:
a. 20x60 running surface (better for tall runners)
b. 3.0 hp motor gets belt to full speed in about 2-3 sec
c. no countdown before belt begins to move
d. stylish console, but not as easy to use
e. no speed or incline controls on handles (only on console)

Delivery of large box is supposed to be made inside front door or garage. Both times, I gave the delivery person a generous "tip" for their prompt delivery service, and both times the treadmill was generously brought down into my basement. Delivery drivers were quite pleasant both times.

Assembly for both treadmills was relatively easy and both treadmills took just under 2 hours to assemble (screwing in hand rails on BOTH treadmills can be tricky-need to make sure you don't puncture and/or pinch console wires!). All necessary tools were supplied for both.

The Bowflex Series 7 and Sole F80 both have powerful and quiet 3.0 hp motors.

The decks on both feel about the same when running/walking on them. Neither deck is "whisper quiet" when running on it. To me, the deck of the Bowflex Series 7 was slightly louder (a problem that became progressively worse during my ownership of the Bowflex Series 7). If you're a taller runner (over 6 feet tall) or run with a long stride, then the F80's deck may be a little too short for you (or course, Sole makes a longer treadmill for a few hundred dollars more). But for most of us who walk/jog/run on a treadmill, the Sole F80 is a very good size and fit.

I can see why hotels use the Sole F80 treadmill. First of all, the F80 has a much better warranty (about double of what Bowflex offers). Also, from a safety or "hotel liability" standpoint, the Sole F80's has better user-friendly features such as: (a) 3 sec countdown before belt begins to move (avoids surprises/injuries); (b) belt takes 6-8 sec to get to full speed (avoids surprises/injuries); (c) easy grip handles with rubber compound (remember: most people grab the handles when they get into trouble!); (d) speed/incline controls on console AND handles (really easy to use controls on handles when running or walking); and (e) no need to tip or lean treadmill backwards when moving (easy on your back, plus treadmill won't fall on you).

Had I done my homework the first time, I would have initially bought the Sole F80 instead of the Bowflex Series 7. Although the Bowflex Series 7 was highly recommended, it did not hold up well over time. If you are considering a folding treadmill for under $1,500.00, you should consider the Sole F80.

Good product. Great value. Great warranty.

►I've had my C44 about 2 weeks now, and while I'm happy with it, I think I wish I'd waited until I could afford a better model. I've just started a weight loss journey, and I thought a treadmill would be a good investment given Alaskan winters.

Things I like about my C44:

It folds, thus taking up a small footprint of floor space when not in use. Rough estimate without measuring, you'll need a spot about 3' by 3' to store it when you aren't using it. The lock that holds it closed is sort of hard to release, which I think is a huge plus, as I babysit a toddler.

Quick-stop key (probably standard on all treadmills)....it clips to your belt or waistband, and then inserts the other end into the treadmill. The treadmill won't turn on without it, making it handy to take with me when I leave the house, so I have no worries about my children playing on it.

It seems sturdy. I'm not lightweight, in fact, when I bought it, i was just a few pounds under the 250lb weight limit, and it doesn't strain under my weight when I use it. I have personally used it to speeds of 3.5mph. My husband, about 200lbs, and athletic, runs at speeds up to 7mph and it, and it doesn't strain then, either.

Incline: it has MANUAL inclines of 3%, 6% and 9%.

What I don't like:

I use a Polar F6 heart rate monitor while I walk. I start walking on the treadmill (which starts the clock on the C44), and then I start my F6 monitoring. When my workout is over, my F6 ALWAYS has more time logged than the treadmill does. I've tested my F6 against stopwatches, and it appears to be dead on, so apparently the timer on the treadmill doesn't keep good time, which frustrates me, and makes me wonder if it's tracking the mileage correctly.

The thumb sensor for heart rate monitoring: it's horrible, no two ways about it. It jumps all over the place, within a span of about 2 seconds, it will measure my heart rate at 83, 144, and 199. From what I understand, all sensor type heart rate monitors are fairly poor, but I've also read that they can at least give you a close estimation of your heart rate. This sensor aboslutely CANNOT do that. If you buy a C44, definitely invest in a chest-strap heart rate monitor for accurate monitoring, don't rely on the treadmill's sensor.

The incline: Being totally new to exercise (ie, I've never purposely exercised in my life!), I thought it was great that the C44 had 3 levels of incline, and that would be perfect for a beginner like myself. Well, walking on a treadmill is not the most exciting thing I've ever done, and I've found some awesome treadmill workouts online, to vary things up a bit, but unfortunately, they all require incline use, and the C44's incline feature leaves much to be desire in that aspect. In order to adjust the C44's incline, you must turn off the treadmill, fold it up, and then manually adjust the leg height. Most treadmill workouts do sequences such as 2 minutes at 0%, 1 minute at 3%, 4 minutes at 0%, 2 minutes at 3%, etc. By the time you get off, adjust the incline, and get back on, you've lost your heart rate and just about the time you get it back to the targe4t zone, you've got to hop off and adjust again.

So, my advice on the C44.....if you can possibly afford a better treadmill, then save your money a little longer and get something better. If this is absolutely the best treadmill you can afford, get it. it DOES work well, and is certainly better than nothing. Even though it has it's flaws, the C44 HAS given me the motivation to get off my rump and get moving.

►I broke one of the plastic covers screwing it on, kinda thin. Other than that the motor runs great. There are a few minor noises in the tread section that I will assume are normal. Overall I would say this is the best treadmill I've owned.

►This was a great purchase! I enjoy doing my workouts on a treadmill, but can't afford to buy a treadmill that costs several hundred dollars. The price was perfect, assembly was easy, and it is a great workout. You do have to work a little harder to get and keep the belt moving because it is a manual, but that makes the workout even better. It takes some practice to get used to the manual belt and to figure out how to keep your steps evenly paced, but after about 5 minutes you are into the groove. The size is nice, too. The treadmill folds up and stores nicely. The belt is the perfect size for my 5'6'' stride. My husband is 6'3'' but as long as he keeps the start of his stride at the very front of the belt, he can get a great workout, too. Obviously, I am very pleased with this purchase!

►My first manual treadmill, and a decent product. Does take some time to get use to. Don't buy this if you expect to use this for running. Given that the treadmill needs to be at a small incline so your motion pushes the belt down and around, runnning is extremely difficult. Works well if you plan to use for fast walking in your home.

►This thing was so infuriating, I trashed it within 48 hours of receiving it. It had a mind of its own. The belt kept going to the right no matter what I did. I followed the directions diligently. I loosened the belt, centered it, and it immediately went right despite my doing the adjustments given in the manual.

I did get about 3 minutes of exercise before the belt folded over and I could do nothing with it. I was so infuriated, I just wanted to get rid of it, and I did. I had a Denise Austin one before and had no trouble with it for over a year. Bit this contraption had a mind of its own.

►This is truly an outstanding product. I took less than five minutes to turn it on, no need to do anything other than taking it out of the box, open it and plug it in the outlet.

I use it to walk fast while reading or browsing the web. It is very stable and silent. So far, so good - the quality of the product looks much higher than treadmills twice as expensive. Not sure if it is good for running (I am not a runner...), but definitely the ideal product for a walker. I also have a long stride, despite its compact size it fits perfectly my exercise patterns.

It is also very easy to fold and unfold, just a little harder to get around (it is a bit heavy, the small wheels definitely allow for portability, but you require some effort to carry it around)The folded profile is quiet small. The look is very trendy - nobody complaints at home if visits take a look to it while unfolded in the middle of the living room, as in the manufacturer's you tube video... A much better value than several treadmills that I tried at sport stores and gyms.

Probably the best item I have bought in amazon, other than terrific books! My only minor complaint is that the free delivery took a long time (two weeks), but it was timely delivered once they called.

►This treadmill is a great product--very sturdy and runs smooth. It is better than the treadmills that I was using at the high-priced gym where I was a member. The only problem that I encountered was getting it into the house--it took 3 strong guys grunting pretty hard to get it in the house. Once inside, though, set-up was easy and took about 30 minutes. The only thing needed was a phillips screwdriver ( the one supplied could have done it-but it wasn't too easy with it.) All in all, I am really happy with this treadmill--it's a well made product!.

►I have had this treadmill for a few weeks now and have been very happy with it. It's very sturdy and has a lot of features for a home treadmill. The comments I list below fall into the category of "just be prepared for" and mainly involve the delivery process.

One caveat I have is that this machine is *heavy*. My delivery guy brought it into my garage and despite my attempts to have him put it just inside a room off the garage, no dice. I had to have the help of a very strong guy to move the treadmill where I wanted it. The good news is that after that, it was a piece of cake to put together, involving about 30 big screws and took exactly an hour (probably could have taken even less time).

This treadmill is supposed to fold up, but I can't imagine ever using that feature -- for one, it's too heavy and two, it's so big it's not like you could really hide it anywhere. These are not complaints -- the fact that the machine is big and heavy translates into sturdiness and a larger running surface.

Finally, there's no instant gratification when you click the Purchase button online. Be prepared for this item to take up to a month to be delivered. It's worth the wait, though!

►I have had this treadmill for about a month. Setting it up was fairly easy and only one of the pre-drilled holes was not aligned perfectly. It was off just a tad so I had to work the screw a little more to make it go in. The treadmill is the most basic model this company carries, but they are very well known for high quality.

Cons
-probably best for walking instead of running
-incline is manual (you have to get of the treadmill to adjust it by hand)
-the mph is in .5 increments. I prefer to be able to go up .1 or .2 at a time.
-no hydraulics when folding it up. If you drop the platform while trying to fold it, watch out, it will come crashing down and can cause harm. This is one area they should not have cut back on. Too much liability. I keep the platform down at all times so it is not an issue. However this can be a serious issue for an older person or someone who has children.

Overall I am very pleased with the product. I had to give up some of the extras to afford a quality machine. You could spend the same amount of money for something with a lot of bells and whistles, but you might end up with a loud, clunky machine with a belt that always goes off center all the time. That is a description of my last machine.

►All tools needed to assemvble the treadmill were packed with it and assembly was relatively easy, but some parts are heavy and awkward, so two people are needed for assembly. The product is sturdy and works well; controls are intuitive. Assemble where it will be used -- it is easy to fold for storage in the same room, but too heavy and bulky to move to another room. The price is more affordable than for treadmills of similar quality.

►I bought the Horizon Fitness T91 about 4 weeks ago. I have done a lot of research prior to deciding on this one. This product have a much better waranty for the price comparing to the other treadmills. Delivery was excellent, no damage at all. However assembling the product took 2 people and was somewhat difficult to figure out where some parts were suppose to go. Otherwise I have been using it for 3-4 times a week and I am very happy with the performance.
