I’m seeing small green strawberries on the test plant I planted so I think that’s a good sign and my soil is definitely working.
Need some more planning on what I’m going to plant but I have a lot of space for fruits and vegetables and maybe even some spices.
I love this new hobby and it makes me respect nature more and more.

Basically you use a certain type of plant to keep a certain type of bug away.
It’s not like the normal “plant your vegetables in a nice row and spray some organics on it”.
I want to take this a step further and use nature to feed and protect my garden.
Reading this article was a nice start.

Today I cleaned up more, I even found strawberries I planted 2 years ago and I’m trying to keep them alive.
Got to love some free strawberries!

I also went to the gardening store today but there were soo many seeds, I got to check my ultimate gardening guide to find out what is best to plant at the end of may.
I think basically all vegetables will still grow during the summer if I water them enough.

Anyway here is a picture of today’s progress:

First of all welcome to the grow my own vegetables blog. I will blog about my journey through the organic gardening land and I will take pictures and make videos of the progress.

Today I cleaned up my garden a lot, had to get rid of weeds that had overgrown my garden and I need to get rid of all the roots so my soil will be nice and fertile again once I start feeding it some fertilizer.

The next step would be breaking the ground loose and make rows of the vegetables I want to plant.

I will keep you updated.

Anyway here are the pictures and a video of how my garden looked when I first started.

Tomorrow I will post pictures and a video of my progress, you will be amazed.
