They put this show on every year and it is always good to go because you can always learn something new from people in our industry. We went to a grower in Provo Utah first. They were starting to plant a few things. It makes me excited for spring. We went to another grower that focuses on retail and that was also very interesting to see. With the economy as slow as it is you can see how others are cutting costs and figuring out how to survive this new storm. There was one more greenhouse that we went to that grows very rare plant material. Very fun to see. They also designed the greenhouse to accomidate wedding receptions. Another way to adapt to survive. It was just nice to get out and talk with everyone. We are all very excited and think this year is going to be great. Our ground cover is looking excellant and will be ready to sell when people are ready to plant it.

Spring is in the air!

Another year has arrived and we are very exited for the new season. Ground cover does really well when you plant in the fall. It has a chance to set root and once spring comes next year it takes off and looks better than if you plant next spring. Temps are starting to drop so there is little to no loss because of shock when you transplant.

Free Ground Cover Deal

Our website is offering 10 free plants when you buy 50 plants. Most people don't want to plant annuals any longer because they are short lived and the later you put them in the less time you have to enjoy them. With ground cover you can keep planting all year. Summer time is still a very busy time of year for us. We keep growing all summer and we continue to produce a lot in the fall. It does not have to be spring to do your landscaping. If you are looking into planting some ground cover visit us @ groundcoverspecialists.com and look for hardy ground covers for your area. If you have quetstions feel free to email us also.

Ground Cover

Groundcover: Functional? Definitely!

If you have a yard, you need groundcover. It adds so much to any outdoor space. Use it to spruce up your plain old dirt or add variety to your existing yard. There are so many uses, functions, and varieties the possibilities are endless! From lush evergreen ivies to drought resistant succulent plants, we can help you find what’s right for you.

        Groundcover Fixed My Retaining Wall

A couple of years ago I had a rock retaining wall put in my back yard. The whole point of my retaining wall was to retain my soil. Much to my surprise, large amounts of soil kept washing up through the spaces between the rocks. My hill was literally washing away. I didn’t know what to do. A friend of mine suggested groundcover. The thought hadn’t even crossed my mind.
I found a local nursery and bought several varieties of groundcover ranging from Ice Plant, Vinca, Veronica and Sedum. It took no more than one growing season and my wall quit washing away, and I had a beautiful garden. All of the varieties that I purchased have a blossom on them, and they tend to blossom at different times. I didn’t realize just how plain my yard looked until I saw it complete. My yard is beautiful thanks to my groundcover.

Groundcover instead of Grass?

http://www.groundcoverspecialists.comThere have been a lot of people deciding to change their lawn over to groundcover. This can be done but you must carefully choose the right groundcover for your situation. We have many low growing groundcovers that can take the foot traffic that grass takes (several thymes, which also give you sweet smells as you walk on them, we have used sedums, we have also seen some potentilla). You can be creative, just know what you are planting before you do it. It is a very big commitment but when done right it is a very good alternative to grass and can make your home very unique. Check out groundcoverspecialists.com for lots of variety.

Free Groundcover

If you sign up to follow this blog receive buy one get one free off your next purchase at groundcoverspecialists.com.
