due to recent events, namely martin busting his balls for nine hours in a digger fixing the track and then having to go lift £120 out his own bank and he still has the fuel to pay for(big thanks to Michael Darroch for saving the day with getting extra fuel and giving martin an hours break on the digger).

the way the charging for the track will be this, if you are:

Sharing a bike
£5 for the first rider
£3 for the second
£2 every other rider.

If you want to punish your bike that much then thats up to you but you will not be wrecking our track and not contributing to the up keep.

If you bring extra rider’s who dont mind staying on the small track then £8 will do.

Kids prices are:

kids track free for all under 16s
kids on big track is:
£3 and £1 for every extra rider.

There will be no more free labour from the main track maintance team it will be £10 per hour for there efforts yous have sickend them with your attuide towards paying or helping out and also when you turn up pay for your riding before you start martin shouldnt have to chase you for it he has enough to deal with namely sourcing the cheapest diggers and fuel grading/maintaining track and having to listening to the farmer moaning and doing him favours to keep him sweet and trying to give out pointers and keep every one happy.

Dirt Bikes are designed and built to be ridden off public roads, on rough even mountainous terrain. These dirt bikes feature small engines having less power than larger bikes, long suspension travel as well as high ground clearance, simple construction and minimal body work, no street accessories (such as turn signals and horns), and large wheels with heavy-duty tires for traction, clamped by rim-locks.

The types of dirt bikes are in reference to their engines:

Single-Cylinder Two-Strokes
Single-Cylinder Four-Strokes

Common sizes for dirt bike engines are:

Young Riders: 50cc – 150cc
Older or Adult Riders: 250cc, 400cc, and 650cc

Having both air- and water-cooled motor systems, dirt bikes are designed for a variety of purposes, most especially competitive sports (Motorcross, Enduros), time or speed trials, rough terrain traversing, endurance, and fun and recreation.

Trial Bikes

Trial bikes are a particular variation of dirt bike. They are designed for motorcycle trial conditions, and are expected to be pushed to the limit, which is probably one reason they aren’t built heavy or sturdy. Typically, this kind of dirt bike is extremely small (up to 250cc engine size and power), and is built considerably light (no seat, and other non-essentials are taken off for light-weight movement).

Dual-Sport Bikes

Dual-sport bikes, or “on-off road bikes,” are dirt bikes that have legal access to public roads. These dirt bikes have greater suspension travel and include all necessary public-roadway accessories, such as blinkers, horns, state license plates, fenders, and other essentials. Similar to Enduro bikes, these dirt bikes are sometimes constructed for rough terrain and competitive sports.

Dirt bikes are known as the “wild ones” of the motorcycle-class of vehicles. These dirt bikes require riders who are in control and trained well in riding them in various environments. Young and inexperienced riders should be accompanied by an experienced rider when learning to ride a dirt bike. These monsters are fun and exhilarating, but they are just as dangerous

Week on Week I see lads through them self at there quad/atv in the hope that it will give them a buzz when riding, most of the time these guys are getting scrapped up from the floor, dusted off and then checking the damage to there quad, each time this happens they end up forking out anywhere between £60 and £300bux for repairs or spare parts….

More and more these days, riders of all terrain vehicles (ATVs, Quads) are becoming injured or even killed when their ATV wrecks, enforcing the need for safe operating procedures. This is especially important for teenagers who are interested in riding ATVs and are less likely to practice safe conduct while operating the vehicles (You know who you are!!)…

Keep in mind that Quad/ATVs are just as dangerous as Cars, Motorcycles, Trucks, or Sport utility vehicles, so only operate them using the proper techniques and procedures. Many riders neglect the fact that these vehicles have the capability to extremely injure or KILL the drivers, but in the correct hands, Quad/ATVs can be a fun way to spend time in the great outdoors.

So Follow my 10 safety tips when riding any Quad/ATV, to get the best possible experience from your machine…

1. Only drivers over the age of 16 should operate an ATV. Alone!!

Children under the age of 16 should not operate an Quad/ATV. This is especially important, since younger children are usually injured on Quad/ATVs due to their size or inexperience with operating vehicles. Even once a child is 16 and able to operate an Quad/ATV, adult supervision should be present at all times!!!

2. Always wear protective gear!!!

Just like operating a motorcycle or bike, riding an Quad/ATV requires you use proper protective gear. ALWAYS wear a helmet. Most serious or fatal accidents occur when the rider is not wearing a helmet and falls on his or her head. Helmets may not be the most stylish accessory, but they can literally save your life. Also, since most riders operate Quad/ATVs in wooded environments, be sure to wear proper eye protection, as a rock, branch, or even a bug can fly into your eye and cause damage. Furthermore, be sure to wear boots and gloves to protect your hands and feet while operating the Quad/ATV.

3. Take a driver’s safety course.

Before you drive a car, you take a safety course, so why should driving an Quad/ATV be any different? Safety courses educate riders of the correct way to operate and ride an Quad/ATV to ensure he or she knows how to handle the vehicle. Also, safety courses will teach riders of all ages the appropriate behavior when riding an Quad/ATV, making it critical for teens and adults to attend.

4. Only one rider per vehicle.

ATVs are designed for only one rider at a time(Unless otherwise stated). Since you have to manipulate your weight in order to control the vehicle, two riders on a vehicle is incredibly dangerous! Also, the Quad/ATV may be unable to successfully hold the combined weight of two riders, making it less stable and more apt to roll over. Finally, having an additional rider can distract the driver from the task of properly operating the vehicle.

5. Ride Quads/ATVs in appropriate settings.

When it comes to where to ride your Quad/ATV, ensure you choose a proper setting (Greenock Donnies). Avoid roads and streets, since Quad/ATVs are not designed nor intended to be driven on concrete or asphalt with larger cars and trucks. Also, avoid improper terrain that may encourage the Quad/ATV to roll over due to instability in the ground.

6. Do not speed.

ATVs are designed to go a certain speed safely. Increasing the speed—especially through certain terrains—decreases your control and the vehicle’s stability, making you more prone to have an accident. Aviod larger loose rocks and the slops of hills, these can cause the ATV/Quad to flip over unexpectedly & could trap you under the machine..

7. Do not operate an Quad/ATV impaired.

Many adults find themselves tempted to operate an Quad/ATV while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Even over the counter or prescription medications can impair your reaction time, thinking process, and judgment, so be sure to avoid operating an ATV during this time. Just like drinking and driving, alcohol and Quad/ATV driving does not mix.

8. Carry a communication device with you at all times.

Quad/ATV riders should be sure to carry a mobile phone or walkie talkie with them at all times so that they can call for help in the event of an emergency. This is especially true if you are riding alone, which is not encouraged!!! so that someone will be able to find you if you become injured. Whenever you plan to ride your Quad/ATV, you should either have another individual with you or notify someone of where you are going and when you plan to return.

9. Do not attempt tricks or stunts while riding an Quad/ATV!!!

The most injuries on Quad/ATVs occur when the vehicles are operated improperly. Take great care in riding your Quad/ATV and be sure to avoid any tricks or stunts that will encourage an accident. Furthermore, avoid improper interaction with other individuals, whether they are on an Quad/ATV or not.

10. For God Sake Use common sense.

This final safety tip is by far the best. Your common sense can carry you a long way, especially involving your safety.
Look about you, remember your surroundings, know how far from other people/riders you are, be constantly aware of your riding area, this could just save yours or someone elses live!!
