“Good Morning America,” in partnership with Pepsi, today announced its sizzling 2012 Summer Concert Series lineup with an exciting mix of pop, rock, country and nostalgia acts, the biggest names in music around.

From the hit rock band No Doubt, to multi-platinum singer Demi Lovato, to pop sensations The Wanted, to country superstar Brad Paisley, all-time favorites such as Counting Crows and The Beach Boys, there is something for everyone. Plus, the alternative rock band Neon Trees and the hip-hop band LMFAO with their hit song, “Party Rock Anthem,” are sure to get everybody “shufflin’” this summer.

Summer Concert Series at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park

The Summer Concert Series returns for the fourth year to the Rumsey Playfield in New York City’s Central Park, where music’s biggest names will perform live every Friday.

The Summer Concert Series is sponsored by Pepsi Co. Pepsi’s new global campaign captures a mindset and focuses on inspiring and inviting consumers to “Live For Now.”  In partnership with “GMA,” Pepsi will be bringing consumers exciting “Now Moments” in music and entertainment across the summer. The level of talent and excitement created by the concert series will put consumers in the center of what is happening in music now.

Viewers interested in joining “GMA” in Central Park are encouraged to arrive at Rumsey Playfield via the 72nd street entrance on Fifth Avenue at 6:00am when the park opens to the public.

All concerts are free and open to the public and will take place live during “Good Morning America,” Fridays from 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. ET. Dates and additional acts will be announced throughout the summer.”

I’ve uploaded some videos that aired on Channel V in Australia in 2000 to the videos section.  These include interviews, some live in studio performances, and and some footage from the Livid Festival!

Also, in an article on The Jamaica Star’s web site, they talk about Busy Signal’s collaboration with No Doubt on Push and Shove.  They call the song the “lead single” on the upcoming album.  Will it be the first single?  The band hasn’t confirmed at this point.  I hope so, because after the teaser in their first webisode, I really want to hear the whole thing!  I can’t get the clips that we heard of it out of my head!  aaah!

Also, I added some photos of Gwen and Gavin attending The Heart Foundation Gala on the 10th to the gallery.

“Over the past few months, Gwen, Tony, Tom and Adrian have been recording together and filming the process at producer Spike Stent’s studio in Santa Monica, California. With 12 songs in the works and new artwork themes and video ideas being thrown around, it was tough to decide what to feature in the first webisode.

The band has decided to kick things off with the recording of the track “Push & Shove” which is a collaboration between No Doubt, producers Major Lazer and Jamaican artist Busy Signal.  Of all the songs on the album, this is the only collaboration of it’s kind.  Enjoy!

There will be plenty more webisodes to follow as we approach September 25 so keep checking back for updates. The band is planning video shoots, photo shoots, tv performances and much more that they want to share with you. Tom tweeted that they start mixing the album next week! Also, that the first single will be out in July!!  That’s only two months away!!

“we start mixing next week (takes a month,) gotta shoot 2 vids, rehearsals, single in July, webisode 1 next week, so much to do!

This has been a long fun journey, and we’re so really proud of the album & can’t wait to gear up for the release. So much good stuff ahead!”

Steelo was one of Gwen’s backup dancers, and was also in the “Early Winter” music video.  He proposed to his wife on stage at one of Gwen’s shows.  As you know, he sadly had a serious brain injury.  He is in a rehabilitation program, and everyone (including myself) is hoping for a full recovery.

The interview with Gwen is from this past December 6 at the A Night of Dance fundraiser for Steelo in Beverly Hills.
