I'm looking for some eco friendly Point of Purchase trays for a cosmetic line. We have to stay away from cardboard because it's not durable enough – unless there's a cardboard material out there that is extremely durable?

We currently use Natureflex cello bags to wrap our product however I'm looking for an automated option where we could print product ingredients directly onto the bag.

Info on PEF Plant PET Substitute

Saw an article about Coke and Danone looking at a bio based PET alternate resin PEF (PE Furanoate). What does anyone out there know about this resin?
- It looks like this still has oil based Polyethylene in it. How much oil based content does Teraphtalic acid component represent in the PET resin?
- Are we talking about a large percent or not much?
- It sounds like the PEF resin converters are using a large range of bio materials to get the Furanoate component. What % of this is Food related plant material?

-A clear window toward one of the corners so you can see inside.
-Tear-off end with a ziploc seal so it can be closed again.
-Biodegradable/compostable plastic preferred, no. 4 recyclable/LDPE if not.
-Custom labeling with non-toxic ink.
-BPA free. (If that isn't a given)

Vinylon water soluble yarn (or vinylon draft zone spun yarn, polyester yarn)
Recycling of Metallised BOPET or BOPP Film Laminated to Polyethylene Film

I am interested in learning or knowing about the various institutes worldwide working on recycling of flexible packaging laminates consisting of metaliised films. Flexible laminates having plain BOPET or BOPP films as one of the components are being recycled in India by various units ; however laminates composed of metallised films are still to get recycling solution.
May be using of these metallised lamintes for casting or reinforcing fibres could solve the issue.
Examples of Cities Eliminating Polystyrene from Office Supply Deliveries?

I'm researching policies and programs that require vendors to eliminate plastic foam packaging (e.g. polystyrene) from deliveries (computers and IT equipment, office supplies, etc.). To clarify, I am looking for examples of deliveries to office buildings, not examples from the food service industry.

Can anyone point me to some good examples? I'm primarily interested in U.S. cities, but other examples would work as well.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Recyclable plastic bag for frozen fish products retail

I am working for a fish processing company and we pack frozen fish into retail bags - destined for the supermarkets. Our bags consists of two plastic layers Polypropylene (20 micron) and Polyethylene (60 microns). We were told that the two layers make the bag non recyclable. Does anyone know about research on that subject. The bags need to protect the fish from freezer burn and have at the same time an attractive appearance - colour printing. Would that be possible with only one layer? Thanks in advance for comments.

looking for green packaging for a small, newly started snack company

Hi! My name is Randee Jo. I am in the works of trying to launch a line of organic almond snacks as well as nitrite/nitrite and preservative free jerky. I literally have just started and I am currently selling on etsy.com. I am looking for packing that is eco-friendly/non-toxic and if possible biodegradable. Does anyone have any suggestions or could anyone point me in the right direction, I am brand new at all of this... Thank you so much, Randee Jo

I am looking for a ridgid container approximately 3.75 inches long x 2 inches wide x 2 inches high that needs to be water proof and have a secure top. Does anyone have any suggestions for where I might find something like this. I need this container to package pâté.

Laminated PE/ Metallized PET Film Structure Recycling Question

To Whom it may concern, we are a manufacturer of Thermal Insulated bags and we use a .48 ga polyester laminated to a PE film that makes the outer layer of our product. We have a customer that is interested in a 100% recyclable solution and are curious to know if you know of anyone who can recycle this type of material into other items such as park benches, fence posts etc.

We would also like to find a place to recycle any scrap produced in our process.

Thanks in advance for your input and comments!

Green USDA-Certified Meat Packaging?

Hello. What a helpful resource this site is! That said, I'm very new to the world of packaging and could use some direction.

I have developed a meat product and am searching for just the right packaging for it. I plan on outsourcing manufacturing to a co-packer so am really looking for a few options that I can experiment with before handing it over. Obviously, the packaging must meet FDA/USDA food-grade specifications.
