Let me ask you... what are the most INTERESTING topics to humans in general?
Hint: Think best-selling books and TV shows... Right - drama, violence, scandal, and comedy that is painful to one of the parties involved.

1. Any Hollywood scandal involving anyone famous and anyone of the opposite sex that's famous.
2. Any relationship drama going on between any pop star and their new or ex boy/girl friend.
3. Anything that has to do with hip hop artists spending too much money on rims that spin or diamonds in their teeth.

These topics will light up a conversation like nobody's business. And they create all kinds of opportunities to be cocky and funny while talking about the misfortunes and neurotic behavior of others.

The trick is that you must remember you're NOT there to impress her, and you're NOT on a job interview. The more you act nervous, stilted, and uncomfortable... like you're trying to impress her and get her approval... and like you don't want to say anything that might make her disapprove of you, the less likely you are to trigger that all- important ATTRACTION inside of her. And here's a real twist on this theme: If SHE starts asking the "normal" questions about school, job, family, etc. this is a perfect opportunity to bust on her and say "What, is this a job interview?" Or "Can't you think of something interesting to talk about? Please, spare me the pain of the usual school-job-family conversation. Let's save that until we're picking names for our kids."

3) Comedy Psychological Analysis. Have fun by giving your wild perspective on others. "You know, I've been trying to figure out why so many people these days are going postal and shooting everyone.

I think it might be all the lame music that's on the radio these days..." This one can be a lot of fun... be creative. Do you see where I'm going with this? If you want to keep her interest, then you have to be INTERESTING. The old-fashioned act-like-you're-on-a-job interview rap just doesn't cut it. Now, for some guys, the ideas that I've just talked about will make sense, but they won't come naturally. That's OK. You may have to work on this for awhile, especially if you've spent the last 25 or so years doing the wrong thing.

The Sex Talk: 6 Things You Must Know

I promised a post on the sex talk for teens and kids. I got a lot of questions and responses to the Teens and Sex post earlier this week, which was great! I want to start off first by saying that I do not have a specific age recommendation for giving the sex talk because I truly believe that every child and family is different with a variety of values. Therefore these tips are simply things that most teenagers I speak with, wish their parents knew about before giving them the talk, so please pick and choose what is right for your own family and values.

I do have some general tips for those who have are about to talk to their kids about sex, STD’s, relationships or dating. These can also be useful if you have already had the basic ‘science’ talk, now your teen is dating and starting to experiment and you feel that having a more adult talk would be a good idea.

1) No Stories
I am usually a huge supporter of telling stories to relate, and often find them helpful when trying to understand a new concept or trying to explain one. But, I think no matter what, any kind of story you want to bring up when talking to your kids about sex will lead to full fledged blushing and uncomfortable feelings.

2) Use Correct Words
Thank goodness my parents didn’t try to replace penis and vagina with the words garden hose and flowerbed. If you are talking to teens, I always think it is better to use the real words for body parts, sexual acts and STD’s. There are two reasons for this, first they might not know the word you are using and get confused with words they have heard at school. Second, when and if they finally have to talk about these issues in class or with a significant other they should be comfortable using the real words.

3) Keep it Brief
This one is pretty simple, and I think that most anyone would completely agree. There is no need to drag it out…be direct and tell them the facts and what you think, but please please please do not make it longer than it needs to be. If you know you are a talked when you get nervous (I blabber when I am the most anxious) then practice before hand or keep a little piece of paper with bullets.

4) Warn Them its Coming
I always tend to do better when I know that my parents and I are about to have a ‘talk’ whether it is about money, sex, school, job or general seriousness. I always get really defensive and closed-up when it is sprung upon me in a car or before a movie and I think most teens feel this way. So if you want to have a talk with them, casually mention it; “Hey son after dinner I hope we can go grab ice cream to talk about some stuff” or “honey, this weekend you and dad and I are going to talk, just wanted to let you know.” This way they can brace themselves, and be on super good behavior until then = ).

5) Leave the Door Open
This actually was our household rule: When a boy was over, if you are in your room, the door stays open. But in this sense I mean that at the end of the conversation, tell them they can always, anytime, come back to you for more questions. Most likely, your teen will want to end the conversation as quickly as possible and will ask minimal questions, but it is important for them to know that they can always come back to you for any later questions.

6) Its OK to Laugh
No matter what, this will be an awkward conversation. It is ok to say at the beginning of the talk that it is as uncomfortable for you, as it is for them. They might actually appreciate this. And sometimes, if it gets really uncomfortable or there is a piercing silence, its ok to just laugh about the situation, take a deep breath, and try to start again.

Scientists have found that the pleasure women get from making love is directly linked to the size of their partner’s bank balance.

They found that the wealthier a man is, the more frequently his partner has orgasms.

“Women’s orgasm frequency increases with the income of their partner,” said Dr Thomas Pollet, the Newcastle University psychologist behind the research.

He believes the phenomenon is an “evolutionary adaptation” that is hard-wired into women, driving them to select men on the basis of their perceived quality.

The study is certain to prove controversial, suggesting that women are inherently programmed to be gold-diggers.

However, it fits into a wider body of research known as evolutionary psychology which suggests that both men and women are genetically predisposed to ruthlessly exploit each other to achieve the best chances of survival for their genes.

The female orgasm is the focus of much research because it appears to have no reproductive purpose. Women can become pregnant whatever their pleasure levels.

Pollet, and Professor Daniel Nettle, his co-author, believed, however, that the female orgasm is an evolutionary adaptation that drives women to choose and retain high-quality partners.

He and Nettle tested that idea using data gathered in one of the world’s biggest lifestyle studies. The Chinese Health and Family Life Survey targeted 5,000 people across China for in-depth interviews about their personal lives, including questions about their sex lives, income and other factors. Among these were 1,534 women with male partners whose data was the basis for the study.

They found that 121 of these women always had orgasms during sex, while 408 more had them “often”. Another 762 “sometimes” orgasmed while 243 had them rarely or never. Such figures are similar to those for western countries.

There were of course, several factors involved in such differences but, said Pollet, money was one of the main ones.

He said: “Increasing partner income had a highly positive effect on women’s self-reported frequency of orgasm. More desirable mates cause women to experience more orgasms.”

This is not an effect limited to Chinese women. Previous research in Germany and America has looked at attributes such as body symmetry and attractiveness, finding that these are also linked with orgasm frequency. Money, however, seems even more important.

David Buss, professor of psychology at the University of Texas, Austin, who raised this question in his book The Evolution of Desire believes female orgasms have several possible purposes.

“They could promote emotional bonding with a high-quality male or they could serve as a signal that women are highly sexually satisfied, and hence unlikely to seek sex with other men,” he said. “What those orgasms are saying is ‘I'm extremely loyal, so you should invest in me and my children’."

V-Day Sex Tips from a Sexual Surrogate

Attention boys and girls! It's that time of the year again. A time for everyone to bask in the mass consumerism of a holiday that seems like it was created just to make a few people feel like shit while everyone else gets laid and eats chocolate (or oysters). If you're in the first group, here's some good news: St. Patrick's Day is only a month away, and you'll be able to drink your lonely problems away soon.

If you're one of the lucky folks who will be having sex with a human partner this weekend, congratulations. But now comes the hard part (yeah, pun very intended). Not that you should feel any pressure or anything, but nobody wants to disappoint a lover on Valentine's Day--as opposed to the other 364 days of the year, when you didn't spend a lot of money on things that will be dead or digested in a week.

And because the Juice we likes to provide a service to the community (intended again), we've solicited sex advice from an expert--a professional sexual surrogate. "Catherine" (not pictured above) is trained and certified by the Los Angeles-based International Professional Surrogate Association. 1 Men aren’t irresistible and not all women are desperate for sex. Good
lovemaking starts long before you reach the bedroom, so before any date,
have a bath. Everyone smells: some women like the smell of male sweat,
others don’t, but no one likes the smell of stale sweat.

2 Teeth are as important as the groin and armpits. Don’t forget to
brush them after your bath. When kissing a girl, or even sitting close to
her, she won’t want to smell your bad breath or notice salad between your
teeth any more than she’ll want to smell yesterday’s sweat.

3 Avoid a heavy meal before sex. Oysters and asparagus are assumed to
be aphrodisiacs, but this is only because of visual or olfactory
associations. Champagne is a better bet, but choose a less acidic one, lest
exotic Kama Sutra-style acts cause indigestion.

4 Be careful with drink. We all know drinking increases a man’s desire
but decreases his ability, but not everyone realises it also affects a
woman’s sexual response. More than two or three drinks and some women may be
loving but physiologically limited.

5 Any penile discharge or sore, however apparently trivial, means that
sex is out. Chlamydia in the male may be almost symptom-free. It may show
only as a mild inflammation of the end of the penis, so that the lips are
stuck together in the morning.

6 Always use a condom with a new partner, even if she seems as innocent
as a nun. Regular partners should still have chlamydia and blood tests.

7 Men fear judgment, whether by colleagues in the office, teammates in
the changing room or, above all, by a new girlfriend. Penis size can worry
some men. Remember that someone’s penis always looks smaller to the owner
than to an onlooker. Women may prefer a medium-size but thick penis but, if
a lover is attentive, even if offering a button rather than a baton, it
won’t matter.

8 Don’t rush into sex and focus attention immediately on the genitalia.
Take it slowly. Learn to massage. This can easily shade into great foreplay,
especially if your partner is tired or stressed. Use plenty of lubrication.

9 Make certain that your partner knows how attractive you find her by
paying as much attention to kissing her, complimenting her and generally
spoiling her. Don’t neglect the breasts and other erogenous zones.

10 Both sexes have off days. Most men occasionally have poor or tardy
erections and even fit, athletic, overenthusiastic men, as well as the
inexperienced and anxious, may suffer premature ejaculation.

1 There’s no substitute for excitement. The range of lubricants on the
market can add slip and slide, but should never be used as a short cut.

2 There’s more to sex than pushing the right button. Men have
discovered that the key to female orgasm is clitoral stimulation, and many
now rub the lamp rather than poking around inside it. The upside is that
women are climaxing more often but the increase in emphasis on genital
manipulation has made for some very mechanical sex. Going straight to the
erogenous zones is the equivalent of fast forward. Men who focus on left
breast, right breast, genitals, reduce their partner to a set of body parts.

3 Though clitoral orgasm is easy to achieve, most women want to
experience penetrative orgasm. Intercourse is the ultimate connection
between man and woman and the sensation of fullness that it creates is
intensely pleasurable.

4 Women are slow burners. They take longer to become aroused and get as
much pleasure, if not more, out of tenderness, kissing and cuddling. Though
quickie sex has its place, for women on the whole, the longer sex takes, the
better it feels. If arousal is allowed to build gradually, it floods the
whole body rather than being confined to the genital area and a delayed
orgasm is infinitely more powerful than an orgasm induced by five minutes of
digital manipulation.

5 Sexual gymnastics are often distracting. Chopping and changing
positions and techniques can make a woman’s sexual excitement plummet.

6 Thrusting for hours without climaxing doesn’t make you a stud muffin.
It does make the vagina numb and sore.

7 Don’t assume your partner is comfortable in her own skin. A survey of
3,500 British women, by the bathroom equipment company SHUC, found that one
woman in ten feels so embarrassed about her body that she turns the lights
out before taking off her clothes. The average woman still spends a lot of
time every day beating herself up about her weight and looks. Nakedness
increases that vulnerability, so be sensitive to her insecurities and, if
you think that your partner looks great, for God’s sake tell her.

8 Be polite. Never nudge your partner’s head towards your nether
regions. During fellatio don’t thrust into your partner’s mouth, don’t hold
the side of her head – and definitely warn her when you think you are going
to come. With regard to orgasm, always operate a ladies-first policy.

9 Put a little X in your sex. Watching steamy movies with your partner
will increase the chance that you will have sex.

10 Remember to take your socks off.
