I got my new guitar but it went right back to the store for a minor fix so I haven't actually had my first lesson on it yet. I'm hoping once our kids get back in school that I will have more time to actually pick it up than I have so far.

My husband tried to get me to trade him (my Michael Kelly for his Jackson). Um...no? He loves the way it plays. I told him he could use it whenever he wanted to. :) The only guitar I'd trade mine for would be an Ibanez with the sharktooth inlay. Otherwise, he's SOL.

Les Paul Passes Away

The guitar legend, Les Paul, passed away today. He was 94 years old.

My husband, who is a HUGE guitar enthusiast, told me about it today. He's not been able to afford a Les Paul guitar and I would imagine that isn't going to change now. He says the price of his guitars will probably go up now.

He died due to complications from pneumonia.

My husband bought me this guitar for a starter guitar (above). It's in lay-away so I can't tell you anything about it (yet) other than I like the finish but I will! He says it plays like a more expensive guitar.

I really like this guitar! It's a beauty.

My stepson has the Ibanez RG in blue. I prefer the white or black myself but he's definitely got a really nice guitar.
