On Wednesday, June 11, 2008; Jim, Carl, and I drove from our timeshare in Las Vegas to the Mojave Desert. We stopped for lunch at The Mad Greek in Baker, California. That evening Carl and I took a cab over to the Orleans. We ate dinner at a Chinese restaurant and then enjoyed some free entertainment.

In April 2011 I was invited to shoot a fashion show which was part of a Spring Fling Woman's Show in Anchorage, Alaska. I guess they couldn't find any quality photographers!

The show was fun - it was sponsored by Run to the Sun, a local boutique that specializes in swimwear and tanning. Michelle, the owner, always finds some very lovely models, most of them with little experience but they did quite well and it was a great show.

I'm not sure if you've come across Tyvek before but it's a pretty cool material and is exactly what the Paperwallets are made of. It's breathable but waterproof and is very strong and difficult to tear but easy to cut (with a knife or scissors). And it takes a screenprint very nicely too.

The guys from Paperwallet got in touch and asked if we'd like to design a couple of wallets for them so we thought we'd give it a shot. I already had the idea of using 'the love of money is the root of all evil' but then found the similar-but-kind-of-opposite quote 'the lack of money is the root of all evil' (which i can find attributed to both George Bernard Shaw and Mark Twain - take your pick!) I can see sense in both these statements to some degree or other so surely the best stance should be to respect money as a necessary evil of which you need some - but not too much! And this is where the wallet comes in handy - to remind you of this from time to time...

We've got one more wallet in the pipeline so expect something new soon.

Kissiah is blossoming into a gorgeous young lass

This was my first shoot with Kissiah - wow - what a lovely young lass! Another very tall model - my favorite kind! We did some solo shooting in South Anchorage then headed for a small group shoot on Woronzof Beach on a cold cloudy day - but it was worth it. Kissiah is new to modeling but as she gets experience she is going to be great - and I'd love to shoot with her again, anytime!

Kissiah didn't even break a sweat holding up this wall!

I was recently invited by my buddy, fashion photographer extraordinaire Jeremiah Wilson, to visit one his fashion shoots. He was shooting a campaign for Steve Madden shoes at Poly Prep in Brooklyn. I went down to pay Jeremiah a visit, and decided to shoot some photos of my own, and interview Jeremiah for one the publications I write for. I thought a 'behind the scenes' of a fashion shoot piece would be interesting to work on, and it turned out that way. I had a blast doing both. Some of mt photos came out great, but I was cheating. Jeremiah was the one who set up models, shots nd lighting. I just stood back and pressed the shutter. August 5, 2010, Bay Rideg Brooklyn.
