We are aware that some clients are not seeing the portal displayed correctly, and are instead seeing a mostly blank page. Our systems engineers are attempting to resolve this problem currently.

Our software team has resolved our issues with the new API methods for our last portal release and our API has been updated. You may now use the new API methods related to GSIs.

We have found an API regression that has forced us to revert to the previous API version, 1.2, today, September 10, 2009, at noon. Users cannot edit, delete, or restore their MyGSIs via the API. It is available through the portal. We will issue a hot fix, as soon as it becomes available.

Resolved -- Level3 Network Issue

At approximately 01:10 PDT we noticed a sharp decline in traffic on our Level3 connection. Traffic returned at approximately 01:30 PDT and we are currently investigating the cause.

Level 3 was performing a scheduled maintenance in their internal network during which they inadvertently black-holed all our inbound and outbound traffic for around 20 minutes. Our traffic didn’t get automatically re-routed through other carriers because our BGP session with our next-hop router at Level 3 stayed up.

API hotfix was successfully applied at 19:00 PDT. The API behavior is now correct and the expected delete response is returning.

Our most recent release introduced a minor bug in API functionality. API Delete operations are currently not returning the correct response. This is affecting all output formats: JSON, XML, and CSV. API delete calls will delete objects properly, but not send a complete API response back. This may affect API code that parses delete responses and expects the documented API response. We expect a hot fix will be scheduled shortly. This entry will be updated when we have more details.

An API hotfix was successfully applied at 18:30 PDT. API behavior is now correct and all listed items are returned for all API calls returning data sets over 100 items in length.

Our most recent release introduced a minor bug in API functionality. Returned data lists greater than 100 entries may be truncated. This will usually occur when listing private IP addresses via the API. You will not be impacted unless using the API to return lists larger than 100 entries (such as Private IPs or Jobs history). We expect a hotfix to be scheduled shortly. We will update this post again when we have more details.

Firewall Outage

The fortinet outage did not affect any gogrid customers, only Servepath dedicated customers.

At approximately 7:45 PM PDT, we experienced a failure on one of our blades on the Fortinet Firewall. As of 8:45 PM PDT, the blade on the firewall has been restored to service.
