Attention GO Urbanites: The GO Urban team will be in San Francisco this Saturday September 19th for our first GO Urban San Francisco Race. If you are in the area or know someone who is, we would love to see you. Race Check-in starts at 10:30 am and the race kicks off at 12 pm. DSCN4047So maybe you missed the GO Urban kick-off race in D.C. this past weekend, well if you did here is a quick recap. We had 118 brave GO Urbanites dare to venture through their cities armed with internet capable phones, maps, cameras, Love Bottles, and most importantly a positive mental attitude. Teams searched for 12 Go points throughout the city and faced challenges that ranged from climbing a rock wall to finding Kilroy. “Who’s Kilroy?” you may be asking yourself. Well good luck finding him, he’s extremely talented in the craft of deception and has found himself a fully fortified secret hiding place in one of D.C.’s well known monuments.

Competitors battled the August summer heat and saw the nastier side of the Metro. Damn the Blue line! But there was a bright light at the end of the tunnel. That light was provided in part by Wolaver’s organic ales and On the Fly’s tasty treats. Oh, and who can forget the insane amount of Honest Tea that was mysteriously appearing throughout the day! If you didn’t get a chance to compete in this year’s Go Urban DC Adventure Race, don’t worry we’ll be back here next year. But don’t wait till then. We have tons of other GO Urban adventure races going on in nearby cities and trust us when we say it’s worth the drive!

So you’ve read about the race, you think you would have a blast competing in it, you really want to do it, but you still haven’t signed up. Well, there’s only 6 days left until this season’s kick-off GO Urban Adventure Race so don’t let it pass you by. The race directors, that’s us, promise it is going to be a blast! We were up in D.C. a week ago doing final walkthroughs having an awesome time; and we even knew where the points were so imagine the fun you are going to have!
