It's been quit sometime since I posted a blog,So here goes.

Recently I caught a commercial about getting your credit report for free if you join a company on a trial basis which I'm sure involves a credit card transaction of some sort.If you like the service they offer then don't cancel your subscription or they give you a 30day trial.
In some cases we so blinded by the obvious word "FREE" we overlook the catch.It is a good offer for some folk and not so good for others.
Here's my point."WHY PAY FOR SOMETHING YOU CAN GET FOR FREE" Yes! I said FREE..
This is a no brainer you can either call them directly or go to there site your self,I've provided the site's below to help you through the process and even the 800's.It takes a little time but,its worth the time & effort.If you pace each report right you can get 1 report each 4 month period of the year and even monitor your own for FREE...
The federal law states a consumer is allowed 1 courtesy copy of his or her report per year from each agency.If you use the the above suggestion its all yours FREE.....
I've done this numerous times over the years and again No out of pocket cost.
Try it! If you don't want to bother then pay for the service yourself.

Hello To my readers of Martins Picks;

Here's some good incite and advise on Credit yours and mine in particular.
Credit cards have destroyed many people and many businesses financially because it's easy quick money to access in times of emergencies which is OK in come cases.
"The Now" seems to kick in when we need "it now" and we'll deal with the bill later.

Don't get me wrong Credit cards are a good thing to have and in most cases from a social stand point its necessary to function, But it can be detrimental and devastating if not managed correctly. I'm not criticizing any one with this blog in any way but,if the shoe fits then just read on and take this to heart.

Credit runs everything worldwide."No credit no product" From the smallest purchase like a coke at some of your fast food restaurants that now take your favorite credit card.The price plus interest.You do the math. We as consumers have to watch out and read everything,it might just open your eyes and especially put $$ back in your pocket.

The new thing "FEE'S" everything has a hidden FEE from your utility bill to the credit cards.I personally had an experience with the phone company and my ignorance with some website the offered me "FREE stuff" if I gave them my contact number.well,I did and after almost 2yrs of not reading my bill I had been paying 300.00 over a years time for 3 voice mail services.Who in gods name needs 3 voice mails.
Well,I had a hell of a time getting it removed from the home phone and getting my money back.

** THE POINT HERE IS READ EVERYTHING REGARDLESS *****

NOW BACK TO THE CREDIT ISSUE.

Credits cards are a wonderful source for Emergency cash,but not to live on.
I have seen first hand consumers pay credit with credit,that doesn't work!
Eventually it comes full circle and your in the credit and collections game just like allot of Americans and even foreigners.

If your wondering,I was a bill collector for over 13yrs,in a national bank on allot of there products and at my local credit bureau. That's how I know what I'm talking about.

I'll Be adding more incite on The Credit and Collections game later in the week.

Allot of people ask,WHAT IS MARTINS PICK?

Martins pick is a group sites I review and find on the WEB that can save families Time, Money,and Entertain,and even be informative. In some cases even bring family time together again like back in the day.

("Kids" like it when they bet there mom or dad at a video game. But,they really get blown away when dad or mom beat them.)

Technology is changing thing as we know it and here are my views.

*1 E-commerce:People buying things on line through their home PC or even there I-phone from the comfort of there home or office.EBAY IS A GOOD EXAMPLE.

*2 Home based:People that don't want the commute to an office or what ever the job profession is. Most would love to just get up and flip on the PC & start working.
There are benefits for both the employer and the employee.Lower cost of space for the employer and a massive saving to the employee,IE.,gas,wear on the car,being home with the kid(s)when need be.

There are so many to list you know and can see the benefits yourself.

"These are just two of my views of things to come in the near future".

*3 This is very vital to all my readers,when your are looking at a money site for a home based business.
Always,Always read the "term of service" and all the info attached.

Its very easy to get caught-up in the HYPE/BS some site offer.I am not trying to attack any site directly,I just want all my readers completely and totally informed.

After you have read all the info given by the site you'll have a clear understand of whats involved. You chose based on that information.
You'll feel good about the choice you have made,the money spent and especially the time involved.

Another rule of thumb is; Type the site name into your browser,space it then type "SCAM" and read the reviews you just might be surprised and thankful you did.

Allot of my choice's on some sites are FREE and some do cost.I have product sites,info sites,and business & social sites I like to promote. Yes I do make a few bucks but only if you want to get involved period.

Martin here again,

I'm very confused about all the layoffs and Hype about this BAIL-OUT.
Things are tough all over. We as a nation have built our wealth on credit
lending and debt..

My feelings are this...Stop Whinnig!! We make our own bills not others.

The "champaign taste on a beer budget" has got to change. Start living within our means. It's nice to want.But needs come over wants..

Employeers don't give a rats ass about your debt so dont look for that raise.

A good friend told me once,and it made sence.I'd rather not get that bonus and keep my job..

Case in point.Here at my job we always get a Xmas bonus. This year Notha,Zip,Zilch, a big fat ZERO...I was pissed. Now I'm not and I still have a job..
