High School Raises Over $6000 For Haiti

Pacifica High School in Garden Grove put together a fundraiser for Haiti relief with the goal to raise $2000 in two minutes. If the goal was reached, the ASB girls could dress up their assistant principal Mr. Ma for a week. Each classroom had an envelope where students could put in their donations.

On a personal note, I am happy to report that my parent’s home is standing – as is their street thanks in part to police officers and two brave neighbors who put out small fires in back yards while the firemen battled the large flames.

So, at Giving Children Hope, we exist on non-profit partnerships. As a matter of fact, we almost never do a project that isn't a partnership. Basically, we want to work ourselves out of a job. If we aren't doing that, well, we just aren't doing our jobs. I appreciate this about my workplace.
