Three more GiveCamps Starting Up

We’re very excited to announce three new GiveCamp organizations coming online -

St. Louis Coders4Charity – it seems that this one was put together really quickly, as recently as a few weeks ago, but I just found out about it this weekend. Scheduled for Oct 16-18 2009, this is the first-ever GiveCamp event in St. Louis. Organized in part by the guys who run the Coders4Charity event in KC, this event is scheduled to benefit 9 charities.
Arizona GiveCamp – organized by Barry Stahl, the @AZGiveCamp is just getting started in terms of team organization. Their first meeting will be held on Thursday, October 15th – for those interested, follow @AZGiveCamp on Twitter and send them a message.
Seattle GiveCamp – organized by Ali Daniali, this event is *just* getting organized. I know there is a lot of interest in the Seattle area around GiveCamp, and this is exactly what the community needs to get the ball rolling. Ali has been actively participating in our monthly GiveCamp leadership calls, and I know he’ll do a great job of organizing Seattle’s first!

Twin Cities GiveCamp!

Donn Felker just announced on the Twin Cities GiveCamp blog that his event is currently looking for charities and non-profits to participate in their upcoming event. I don't think a date has been selected yet, but they're well underway to getting everything organized and prepared for a fantastic event. If you live in the Twin Cities area, please make sure that you reach out to Donn via the website and volunteer to help out!

I’m thrilled to announce a new partnership with GiveCamp! Our good friends at DiscountASP.NET have agreed to start partnering with GiveCamp to offer FREE WEBSITE HOSTING to all charities and non-profits that participate in a GiveCamp event! This is great news, as many of these groups don’t have a website presence at all. I’m really looking forward to working with DiscountASP.NET in future GiveCamps!

Southern Maryland GiveCamp Announced!

I just got word from the organizer that the Southern Maryland GiveCamp is officially open for business! Scheduled for March 19-21, 2010, this will be the first GiveCamp event in Maryland, and the first one on the East Cost! I’ve always wanted to go to Maryland, maybe I can talk my wife into a trip there over our Anniversary (which is on the 19th) and hang out with the folks running the event.

GiveCamp Dallas - We Are Microsoft
