Changing Icons on OS X

There's a very simple way to edit the icon of a file or application, and it essentially involves opening the 'Get Info' window for an application, and proceeding to drag and drop (or copy and paste) the desired icon over the small icon image in the information popup.

This will only work if you're dragging an icon of the correct format - the best way to ensure this is to drag it from another file or applications equivalent 'Get Info' window. Apple have a step by step tutorial of this process if you'd like a visual walkthrough. Reverting to the original icon is just a case of selecting it, then hitting delete.

Of course, now that you know how to alter and adapt your application icons, you'll need a few sources to find them! I've compiled a list of several different websites where you can find various icons which look good enough to eat:

The Iconfactory - The biggest and best icon repository from the people behind CandyBar. It isn't updated all that often, but the featured icons are usually excellent.
Pixelgirl Presents - Housing hundreds of icons for every taste. If you're looking for something specific you're likely to find it somewhere here.
InterfaceLIFT - This site offers several hundred different icons, and it's easy to find the gems through sorting by popularity.
David Lanham - A talented and quirky artist, famous for creating Mac icons and wallpapers.
Apple - The people behind OS X also post a few icon sets now and then, along with various screensavers.
Icons.cz - Looking very dated now, but great if you're going for a retro Mac OS look and feel.

I like the style of simple.

I design two of name-card for a france client,only a spot color used,
one printed by black color,the other printed by red color, they all
printed on Curious metal serial paper.

Let's show our equipment of single color machine....

It is a imported machine of Heidelberg.it is good at printing spot
color and full format painted color.
all of the oil mixed by hand,PLS pay attention on this:it's meaning
every color is "spot color"!!! it is a very cheap solution for spot
color!

Spot color. a color that generated by ink. For the color difference
existed to the CMYK Method,Some company demand to print their
identity color by spot color. so,the demand of spot color is not
common demand,it is a expensive demand....

it is a easy things to print spot color when we have a single color
machine. it is a good solution for name-card, invitation,envelope
with spot color.

I like colorful illustration,like the PHYSICAL graph rather than
that on screen.So,I drive into the market of printing....

Now,I am going to introduce two of our LEP(large format printer)
machine.they all are imported machine,One is Roland machine,the other
is HP machine.
The color produced by them is really perfect!!! it is generally
acknowledge that Japanese client is choosy,and our printed product
can meet the demand of Japanese's and export to Japan...

As for printing material,PP,PVC,Photo paper and textual are available,
AS for additional, you can coat with matt lamination on surface, add
a wood or mental frame,"X" frame... there are more and more choice
for you...

Anti-fake Oil

This is a technic matter I solved recently.Anti-fake technology for
printing.

Usually,We use fluorescent color effect on printing on paper so as to
anti falsification, for example,the Currency use blue fluorescent
color.
the secret is they used Anti-fake Oil which mixed with a bit of
phosphor powder,
as for phosphor color,there are blue,yellow and pink color available.

Ok,please see the attachments.We use a yellow phosphor powder oil for
LOGOS,and I lay a sample on the back of them,which printed by comment
Oil.
We will find there is distinct difference under the ultraviolet lay....

This is a article to introduce my experience,I wish it is useful to you.

I import a White-Black JPEG into illustrator,and want to change its
color as same as the color of text(see attachment 1). First I use the
method of TRACING,after trying,I found it can't reach my aim. there
are White background leaving(see attachment 2).

the correct method is
1. change into bitmap format: object > rasterize > bitmap (see
attachment 3,4)
2. Eyedropper your favorite color.(see attachment 5)

in the before of this new year.
For heavy oil to be printed,we printed them before lunar new year and
bound them after holiday.

Air and Sea,It is a difficult things to finish manufacture and
customs clearance in so short time.fortunately,We do it successfully...

HANDBAG FOR JAPANESE CLIENT

We produced 10,000 pcs those handbags a year ago and delivered them
to Tokyo by sea transit,the red color is a spot color.this color is
hard to control,we tried several times before mass production,and we
took a long time to order ropes in same color.In order to pass the
restrict test of environment-friendly of Japanese customs,We take
White glue rather than common Yellow glue....
It is a memorable experience to produce them.
