The fans and viewers of David Letterman were stunned after the famous TV host made a confession about having a sexual relationship with his staff. He was allegedly threatened by an unknown person who claimed that he has all the evidences of the secret sexual relationship. The unknown personality bargained his silence with $2 Million. Letterman sent a fake check and police was able to arrest the said person. The identity of the person is still confidential.

Letterman’s confession is quite emotional. He started the story by announcing in public that he just testified in front of the jury.

“This morning, I did something I’ve never done in my life”, said Letterman. “I had to go downtown and testify before a grand jury.”

He emotionally admitted that he had a sexual relationship with his staff. What triggers him to do this is he was quite scared about the situation.

“My response to that is, yes I have. Would it be embarrassing if it were made public? Perhaps it would,” said Letterman. “I feel like I need to protect these people - I need to certainly protect my family. I need to protect myself. I hope to protect my job,”

The TV Host comedian just takes things one step at a time and hopes he will be able to recover from this.

After his explanation, Letterman said:

“I don’t plan to say much more on this particular topic.”

Tony Gonzaga, Mariel Rodriguez and Bianca Gonzales will be hosting the said reality show. The tagline “Double Up” is still a mystery for me. Double Up may mean double the house, or maybe double the prizes, perhaps double the kuya, or it can be double the housemates, or whatever they intend to double I am very sure this can be double exciting and double surprising. Everybody is excited with Kuya’s return; together we will once again witness another set of story in the “teleserye ng totoong buhay” called Pinoy Big Brother.

Typhoon Ondoy is already out of the country, but we can still feel its presence. The debris of the tragedy is still visible. The water has not yet subsided as well as the atmosphere of worry and fear. We can move on but we cannot forget how Ondoy smashed our livelihood, home and lives.

The past few days have been difficult for all Filipino people. Everybody is affected, whether you are a victim or not. As a mere spectator of the tragedy, I always look at the positive side of the story. Although I can’t help it to react negatively everytime a dead body flashed on the TV screen, I am still always looking at the brightside. You might find it weird to find for the lighter side wherein everything seems to be a total chaos. The summary of the event maybe negative, but after I have reflected on what had happened, I was able to conclude that Ondoy really brings out the best of Pinoy. Here are some of Pinoy’s best qualities that came out during Typhoon Ondoy.

1. The Bayanihan Spirit is Still Alive

The willingness of the Filipino people to help those who are in needs is still alive. This is something that we should be proud of. Everybody is willing to help, whether a businessman, celebrity, politician or even a common citizen. The help overflow in form of cash, in kinds or volunteer service. All the while I thought that we have forgotten the Bayanihan Spirit. Typhoon Ondoy brought it back to the Filipino people.

2. Filipino Unity

We have been divided by politics, religions, races and even TV stations. Typhoon Ondoy reunited the Filipino people. We have been one in spirit and we have realized that we can only survive if we all stand as one.

3. Spiritually strong

One of the best traits of Filipino is being attached to God. We maybe physically, emotionally or mentally down, but our being spiritual is always strong. No matter what happen, our faith and belief with God is still essential. The flood of water has been counteracted by the flood of prayer. When was the last time the Filipino people prayed together? With typhoon Ondoy, we have once again proven that Filipino faith is the strongest ever.

Even how much I wanted to get enough on the heart wrenching news about the disaster that Ondoy have caused especially to Metro Manila areas, it won’t just stop and the more I’m hearing the cries of the victims who have lost their properties, their homes and above all to those who have lost their loved ones, my sincerest condolences.

Now is the time to extend whatever help we can do for them, donations in cash or in kind and of course our prayers for the  Ondoy victims are very much needed.

The Pacquiao-Cotto fight is fast approaching. All eyes are glued on the two boxing champions scrutinizing their every move in preparation for the upcoming firework fight. At this early stage, we have been assuming of who we think will win in the upcoming fight. To help us predict who will triumph on the fight, let’s compare and study the strength and weaknesses of these two warriors.

When it comes to speed, Manny Pacquiao has the advantage over  Miguel Cotto. We have witnessed Pacquiao’s speed from his previous fight. He showed great speed even with higher weight classes such as De La Hoya and Hatton. Cotto on the other hand will show off his superior boxing skills. With his experience as junior welterweight, he will surely dominate the ring. Pacquiao is a dynamic offensive fighter while Cotto is a great fighter with heavy hands. When it comes to weight, team Pacquiao has an advantage over Cotto. Cotto needs to cut down his weight to 145 pounds and that would possibly leave him weaker. However, Cotto is more physically and mentally prepared than Pacquiao.

Pinoy Big Brother house will be opened again with a twist. As usual, Kuya returns with a lot of surprises which will surely amaze the Filipino audiences. Pinoy Big Brother Season 3 Double Up is about to start on October 4, 2009. The official PBB housemate will soon be revealed to the public who has been waiting for Kuya’s return.

Pinoy from all over the world rushed their way to auditions to show off and to prove that they have all the capabilities to handle Kuya’s challenge. The bout and the date of the fight had been long rumored. Finally Manny Pacquiao agreed to meet Miguel Cotto on November 14, 2009 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada for a bout. Both men mutually agreed upon the weight limit of 145 pounds.

Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto are both in the list of top 10 world’s fines boxers. The fight will surely be the best fight ever as these two men will demonstrate and prove their toughness. According to boxing experts, the match between Pacquiao and Cotto is not just simply a boxing match; the combination earned its credibility due to the expected confrontation on the boxing ring and that would make the fight accurate to be called a fight- a real fight in that sense. This is indeed an event that we should look up to as it promises an all-out battle.

Boxing enthusiast and people around the globe are all excited to see Pacquiao again in the boxing ring. The 2 round stints in the Pacquiao-Hatton fight made people want to see more of Pacquiao. With all due respect to Pacquiao, Cotton has also a lot of US based fans. He is a Puerto Rican star and he will indeed bring with him large number of fans in the boxing arena. After how many years that they have been together, Che Tiongson and Chavit Singson finally put everything on end. The end is indeed a tragedy to both parties. Che Tiongson was allegedly beaten by Singson after caught hooking with other guys.

Look at the situation from both perspectives. What triggers Singson to beat Tiongson? What triggered Tiongson to hook up with other guys? Who should we blame for this?

Tiongson claims that she is not already connected with Singson since last year. Whatever is the reason why the relationship did not work out is already beyond our knowledge. All we know is that Tiongson declared that her relationship with Singson has ended since last year. That is why she is not ashamed of admitting that she is hooking with other guys since she is single. Here comes Singson, caught her “former common-law wife” on the act of dating with other guy. Of course we do understand it if Singson will react on it violently since he is the husband. That scenario triggered Singson to beat Tiongson to the top of his lungs. Singson denied the fact that they are already living separate lives so he has all the reason to protest against Tiongson’s dating with other guy. The letters and text messages which contain sweet talks and flirty words are enough evidence for Singson that they are still lovers.

The situation is still hanging. Both parties have their own defense and it’s too early for us to take side. Maybe if you look at the situation at glance, we may say that Tiongson is the victim, but take a look at it, maybe there is a valid reason why it happened to her. Either way, we also can’t say that Singson is the Victim because he was betrayed by his wife, but maybe there’s a valid reason why his wife betrayed him.

We just don’t know. Let’s just wait for the progress of the investigation and hope that justice will surely prevail.

Recession for me is a challenge to beat. We should not avoid it but rather face it. It is something that happened and there must be something that we need to do to counteract on it. That something is very well presented on this article. We must stay positive despite what happened. Recession for me is good news to some businesses. Who would have thought that Recession is also good news? When we say recession, it is always encrypted with negative thoughts.
