It did make sense at the time given what we didn’t know, but given what we know now, it’s time to regularize things.”

Butler-Jones said strict surveillance of the disease will continue.

He said people should remain diligent in protecting themselves, especially if they are more vulnerable to illness.

“Travelling into any country where influenza is spreading is something for people to be conscious of,” Butler-Jones said. “For people with underlying chronic disease or other conditions that put them at greater risk of severity of illness if (they get the flu), that’s something they should still be conscious of in terms of travel during influenza season, or when influenza is spreading anyway.”

In the conference call — which also included Health Minister Leona Aglukkaq, who is in Geneva for a meeting of the world’s health officials — Butler-Jones said previous pandemics have slowed down as weather changes in the summer months, and said it appears this case is no different, but he would not rule out another spike in infection rates. An increase of cases is also possible in the Southern Hemisphere, he said.

“This is a new virus and we don’t really know how it will (react), but if it’s like other influenza viruses, it will slow down,” he said.

Mexico Returning to Normal Following Flu Outbreak

Mexico Returning to Normal Following Flu Outbreak

Services that were shut down in order to curb the spread of the H1N1 (swine flu) virus will be gradually reopening this week. Restaurants, stores, and archaeological sites have reopened as of May 6th. Museums in Mexico City will re-open on May 7, and those around the country will be open on May 8. Students 15 and above will resume classes as of May 7, and younger children will return to school on May 11.
One thing that will probably take much longer to return to normal is Mexico's tourism industry. The media coverage of the virus outbreak has created a lot of fear, and caused many people to cancel their plans to travel to Mexico.

As the swine flu outbreak spreads out to many areas of the world and is apparently not as virulent as originally feared, the recommendations against travel to Mexico seem to be losing their validity. Throughout the outbreak the World Health Organization has said that it does not recommend any restrictions in travel and since the new H1N1 virus (swine flu) is apparently not more severe than normal flu, there is no reason for the continued advice of the CDC to avoid non-essential travel to Mexico.

Many resorts are hiring again and are grearing up for their busy Mexican travel season. We currently have 12 positions open in Manzanillo that needed to be filled ASAP. Most airlines will resume their flights to Mexico starting in June and we need 12 people to be on those flights!!!

Hello Everyone!!!

As you may (or may not) know, Get Up & Go Global is celebrating it’s 10th anniversary this August.

We are in the process of some exciting changes and we want to make you a part of our 10 Year Reunion Celebration. Along it are 360 hotels with 36,000 rooms.

The airport has been replaced by a huge, privately operated one. A four-lane divided highway runs along the coast.

Playa del Carmen's population has exploded to more than 250,000. Its annual growth rate of nearly 20 per cent was until recently the highest in Latin America.

I spent a day last month with Jeanette Rigter of the Riviera Maya Tourism Board getting up to speed on new developments. Here are some of them:

- Alltournative, an adventure company, has a half-day, small-group excursion called Rio Secreto, or Secret River. Guests don helmets with flashlights, wetsuits and life jackets and descend about 18 metres to an underground river. Walking, and in one stretch swimming, they explore caverns and view stalactites, stalagmites and coral.

I did an Alltournative trip in 2002, when the company was getting started. The best part was visiting a genuine Maya community deep in the jungle, where we zip-lined, rappelled down a cenote, canoed, lunched on traditional food and met some of the villagers. Called Mayan Encounter, it remains one of their most popular tours. Visit www.alltournative.com.

- Hidden Worlds Cenotes Park's SkyCycle lets visitors pedal a cable bicycle suspended at treetop level over rainforest, enter caverns, and snorkel a natural underground river system. Visit: www.hiddenworlds.com/default.aspx

- The newest attractions at Xcaret, a sprawling theme park, are "Vino de Mexico," a wine cellar selling only Mexican wines, and an opportunity to swim with sharks. Visit www.xcaret.com.

- Tulum by Night uses lasers to highlight features of these Mayan ruins. Guests use headsets to listen to the commentary, given in five languages. Rigter said the headsets blot out distracting noises at this busy site.

- Although the Mayan Riviera has a high percentage of four- and five-star resorts, even more upscale ones are coming, including such brands as Mandarin Oriental, Fairmont, Rosewood, Banyan Tree and Viceroy.

- Look for more ecologically sound practices, like those employed at the new Hacienda Tres Rios. Instead of tearing out precious mangrove forest, the resort was built above it on columns. Underground water pre-cools the air-conditioning system, and the heat that system generates is captured. Motion sensors in guest rooms turn lights off automatically, and the air-conditioner shuts off if patio doors are opened.

Insider's tips

- Rigter took me to Yaxche, on 8th Street, between Fifth Avenue and Tenth, which serves Maya cuisine. She suggested chayanade, made from a jungle plant rich in iron and flavoured with lime, followed by massewal, a lime and shredded chicken soup with tortilla strips. We split an order of cochinita pibil, orange-marinated pork wrapped in a banana leaf and slow-cooked. It came with beans, rice, tiny tortillas.

Yaxche has been honoured by the National Chamber of Restaurants as the best restaurant in Mexico specializing in regional cuisine.

- You can get a big plate of food for US$9 or so at Tarraya, a fish and seafood restaurant in business right on the water that's been around since 1968.

- Jardin de Marieta, a passageway off Fifth Avenue, provides respite from the crowds and heat. It's peaceful, shaded by tall trees, and has attractive shops and eating places.

Spring Breakers Party On!

College students don’t seem to be planning staycations for spring break.

Bookings to popular beach destinations are strong, according to travel companies, and volunteering vacations continue to gain momentum.

“Typically the student business is more resilient to the economy because it’s like a once in a lifetime trip,” said Jason Chute, director of operations for StudentCity.com. “A lot of times kids will go no matter what.”

Here’s how students will be spending their break.

INTERNATIONAL BEACHES: Cancun and Jamaica are top destinations for spring breakers, according to Patrick Evans of STA Travel. Some 30,000 revelers are expected to visit the beach spot in Mexico this year. The same number came to Cancun last year, according to Quintana Roo’s Tourism Office.

Also popular is Acapulco, Mexico, according to Chute. Acapulco has some of the hottest night clubs, and many are open all night, he said.

Scott Schechter, 22, a Boston University senior, said he was looking for that big-party atmosphere. “Generally, when I think of spring break, most of the nice spring break locations that aren’t trans-Atlantic would be in Mexico,” he said. “The idea of traveling outside the country makes it a little more exciting.”

Perhaps because of the economy, more students are choosing the Party Bus this year, said Evans. The bus departs from locations in California, Texas, Arizona and New Mexico, to Mazatlan, Mexico. Prices for the seven-night trip (two nights on the bus), start at $300 per person on StudentCity.com.

Besides Cancun, Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos are the most popular international destinations for people booking through Travelocity, according to Genevieve Shaw Brown, senior editor.

But she said both have slipped in overall popularity from last year, which suggests people are vacationing closer to home.

ADVENTURE: Demand for trips to Asia and Australia is up, according to Atle Skalleberg of StudentUniverse.com. And France, Italy, Spain, and U.K. remain popular too, he said.

“The exchange rate is still not great for Americans, but it is a lot better and that seems to be enough,” he said. “The other reason is we have had some pretty competitive pricing to Europe this year.”

Also popular this spring break are ski trips to Colorado, said Debbie Gibb of the Student and Youth Travel Association.

Jennifer Rudolph, spokesperson for Colorado Ski Country USA, said resorts are offering more creative deals this year because of the economy. Colorado has also experienced near-record snow fall this season.

DOMESTIC: Panama City Beach, Fla. remains a top destination for the college crowd, according to Chute. Once again the beach hosts mtvU’s Spring Break party March 8-21. The beach’s north Florida location makes it accessible for road trips, he said.

Hotel bookings are strong, according to Dan Rowe, president and CEO of the Panama City Beach Convention and Visitor’s Bureau. But he said it’s too early to determine if the economy has had a negative impact, so Panama City Beach is doing some aggressive marketing.

“In addition to college students, the month of April, we’re really gearing out activities and marketing to families,” he said.

The top three spring break destination based on Travelocity bookings are Las Vegas, Orlando and South Florida. Las Vegas was No. 3 last year. Also making the top 10 this year was Washington, D.C. It's actually pretty simple.

You can do it, too.

Basically, I stumble upon them. That's my secret.

The real key however, is that I always have my antennas up. I look, I read, I surf, I listen. Then most of the time, something just clicks and things fall into place. There's no requirement for in-depth study. The trick is in keeping up the antenna.

First, look at the Sunday paper Travel section or supplement. This section is always chocked full of destinations, travel specials, deals and tips. Make yourself a nice cup of coffee or tea, sit in a quiet spot and scan the paper. Yes, just scan it.

Pay particular attention to the tiny classified ads that pepper the edges of the pages. These are usually low overhead, low cost tour agencies or consolidators that have great offerings major agencies do not. Most of them focus on specialty niches such as Scandinavia or South America. Most will also have website to poke around and all will have a telephone number for you to call if you want to talk to anyone. Best yet, most of them will list destinations you never even thought of . . . how do you think I decided to go to Rarotonga and found a great airfare deal to get there?

The big full page ads are worth a scan, too. While most of them are placed by airlines or top travel agencies, take the time to look at them. I rarely book travel this way but every now and then the offer is too good to pass up. I got a United Airlines package to Australia a couple of years ago that I doubt I will ever see offered again.

As you scan look for key words to catch your attention. Words like "special," "deal," "limited time" or "book until" will make you stop scanning and read.

If you do this for a few weeks you'll be amazed at what you start to notice. Queuing up your brain to recognize deals and destinations comes with this simple scanning of these pages each week.

Another great source of information is your favorite magazines. As you flip through pages look for ad campaigns. Cities engage in tourist campaigns. Regions engage in tourist campaigns. Entire countries engage in tourist campaigns. Scan the pages for those glossy, colorful ads and just note what they are touting. Some campaigns I noticed myself this week are Napa Wine Country Fall Tours, Canadian Cities Weekend Getaways, Discover Thailand, and San Diego Tourism.

Another resource is your radio. What do you hear on the radio? Is your favorite station giving away Hawaiian getaways? Are they handing out airplane tickets to caller number 100? Where are they heading? Are you filing them away in the back closet of your mind? Anything can be a source of quick information.

And, its fun to do!

So now that you are accumulating a library card index in your brain of destinations, prices and specials, what do you do with it?

You either play it safe or take a risk. . . .

About the Author: Joyce Jackson is a 30 year travel veteran offering tips and expertise to new and inexperienced travellers.

Female Dancers/Entertainers Needed for All-Inclusive Resort in Mexico

Position: Entertainer

Immediate Hire In sports and animation activities

Beginning Date As soon as possible

Starting Salary 5200.00 Mexican pesos monthly

Saving Funds 10 %

Meal Allowances 10 %

Yearly Bonus 2 weeks salary paid

Vacations 6 days according to law

Added Bonus Vacations 25 % paid on top of your days of your annual vacation

Position Entertainer (Qualifications and/or Dance Training)

Immediate Hire Head of Sports and Entertainment Activities

Beginning Date As soon as possible

Starting Salary Month $6,992.00 Mexican pesos

Savings Fund Month $699.20 (10 %)

Meal Allowances Month $699.20 (10 %)

Yearly Bonus 15 days ( 2 weeks of salary)

Vacation 6 days according to law

Added Bonus Vacation 25% paid on top of your days of your annual vacation

The resort will also give $400 USD for the flight to the resort and $700 USD for your flight home if you are flying from outside of North America.

If you are flying from within north America the resort will pay for your flight home after you complete the contract.

The resort will pay for the flight home when the employee has completed a 6 month contract with the hotel. Starting out as a new traveler can be intimidating. How do you jump into the gigantic travel fray and survive? How can you learn to love delays and long lines?

Get prepared.

What exactly does that mean? It means being confident in what you are doing, where you are going and how you are getting there. Basically, it means being comfortable with yourself when you leave home.

OK, so what. How do you do that? Follow these quick tips:

Tip #1
Know your destination.
Do some kind of reading before you go. Know how long it’s going to take to get there, and the time zone. Understand how the currency converts and get a handle on local customs.

Tip #2
Be prepared before you leave home.
Make sure you have the essentials you will need, especially for a safe trip. This includes a hide away money belt, copies of your passport, one credit card, debit card, ATM card and traveler’s checks. Take no more than $500 cash. Make sure someone has your itinerary in case of an emergency.

Tip #3
Travel light.
Pack for only five days. Carry one bag. Your bag should be a soft sided, durable carry bag of ballistic nylon. It needs to have a padded carry strap to sling it over your shoulder.

Tip #4
Leave early.
Wherever you are headed, no matter what type of transportation, leave early for you departure terminal. It means less stress for you . . . a lot less stress for you.

Tip #5
Look like you have traveled all your life.
Appearance matters. If you do the above tips you will look and feel like a veteran traveler. Veteran travel pros DO get a higher level of treatment and service from people who work within the travel industry.

Tip #6
Expect things to go wrong.
Most things run pretty well in the travel industry. There are inevitable delays and cancellations. After all, it’s a dynamic industry and getting the mind boggling number of pieces to work all in sync is a real juggling act. If you expect delays you are better prepared to deal with them. If things go well, and they usually do, you get a nice mental lift as you travel. The more travel experience you get the better you get at knowing where delays usually occur and can either plan for them or try to avoid them.

Tip #7
Be polite.
This follows Tip #5 and #6. While it is your hard earned money that is paying for your travel you are one of thousands of travelers a day moving around the globe. Almost three-fourths of these people are inexperienced travelers. Many are stressed out, tired, cranky and rude. If you are polite you will feel better and get better treatment.

See you on the road!

About the Author: Joyce travels and writes extensively. Yes. Could you be a victim of crime in Mexico? Yes. However there is also violence anywhere you travel and the United States does not have a good record in that regard either. Your chance of becoming a victim of violent crime is much higher north of the border than visiting our Mexican friends south of the border. As an example, the State Department issued a travel alert because 16 tourists were victims of violent crime in northern Baja where 60 million come to visit each year. In the same time period 26 tourists were victims of violent crime in California State Parks. So where is the travel alert for California??? Tijuana is portrayed as a dangerous and violent city yet there are many cities in the USA like Los Angeles, New Orleans, Chicago, Philadelphia and Baltimore where you are much more likely to be a victim of violent crime or even killed. I don’t hear anyone in the media warning travelers to any of those or other cities where tourists are attacked on a daily basis. The media has chosen to portray Mexico as a very dangerous and violent place by replaying over and over the pictures and videos of isolated events. Imagine if the media in other foreign countries were to replay over and over the videos of the multiple high school and university shootings and of police beating helpless subjects from events that had happened in the USA over time? We would see a big reduction in foreign tourism to the USA if that happened. Don’t just listen to the yellow journalism in the USA - talk to Gringos who actually travel to Mexico and the thousands who make Mexico their home today. Mexico offers a great climate, lower cost of living and ability to enjoy living in an ocean front community - a luxury out of reach by most in the USA. We need fair and biased reporting by the news media.

Traveling to Mexico is Safe, Despite US Concerns

With all the recent media coverage of violence in Mexico and the warnings to avoid travel here, I thought it prudent to offer another opinion. Yes, it is true that there has been a rise in drug-cartel related violence. As the Mexican government cracks down on drug trafficking, cartels on both sides of the border have been battling for control. However, the bulk of this violence is occurring in border towns and is in no way targeted at tourists.

The tourist areas within the Riviera Maya are not experiencing firefights or cartel wars. Tourists continue to flock here to play in the aqua water and enjoy the nightlife without concern about violence. To generalize and say that travel to Mexico as a whole is dangerous is both ignorant and completely untrue. As of right now, if you live in Houston or Dallas, you are closer to the violence than we are here in the Yucatan.

Of course, there is the ever-present concern about the safety of tourists (especially Spring-breakers) in Mexico. I do not refute the fact that there have been kidnappings, robberies and rapes committed against tourists in Mexico. Mexico City or Tijuana, while being full of culture, are areas in which tourists and Mexican citizens alike have been targets of violent crime. But this is where common sense comes in to play. I would feel no safer in Washington DC or Fort Worth than I would in Mexico City. For that matter, there are certain areas of, dare I say it, my hometown of Denver that I would never venture alone or with friends.

Mexico, especially Cancun, draws thousands of young high school and college age people for Spring break every year. Following basic safety precautions can eliminate you as a target. I have jotted down a few guidelines, geared mostly at the Spring break crowd. 1) Stay with friends. Don’t travel anywhere alone, just as you wouldn’t in any unfamiliar city. If you are in a large group, assign “buddies” to watch out for each other at all times. 2) In large metropolitan areas, avoid late night travel. There are just as many crooks prowling about as there are in any major US city. 3) Control your alcohol and drug consumption. Belligerence never leads to wise behavior. In this alcohol and drug-heavy climate, irresponsibility can lead to tragic consequences. That can happen anywhere, in any state or country. When the volume of intoxicated tourists reaches a critical mass, someone is likely to get hurt. This behavior can act as a flashing target, welcoming predators anywhere. Have fun, but use some restraint. 4) Use pesos (because the exchange rate is so good you would have to be an idiot not to) and carry only what you will need. Don’t flash your money around and don’t wear all of your mom’s diamonds. Leave your passport in your hotel room and, better yet, lock it up in a safe. 5) Don’t drink the water. No one wants amoebic dysentery on vacation.

Here is my two-cents on travel in Mexico. In the right areas, it is perfectly safe. We use the bus lines, taxis and collectivos to travel to Akumal and Tulum on a regular basis, and have no issues doing so with our 5 year-old son. Here in Playa del Carmen, I have no problems taking my evening jog, alone, and I am a female. The policia are ever-present, and heavily armed, discouraging any would-be predators.

The Riviera Maya continues to provide a scenic, fun, and safe place to play. The snorkeling and diving is extraordinary, the cuisine is amazing, the nightlife is vibrant and the culture is rich. Tourists are rarely targeted for violent crime and are rarely victims of petty crime such as pick pocketing or purse snatching. We are the basis of the economy here. Retail shop owners, tour guides, diving instructors and even the beach side fruit vendors depend greatly on the tourist dollars to survive. The people are warm and welcoming. The expatriate community is also strong and consists of wonderful people from the US, Canada, Europe and all over the world. I am sure I speak for all of them when I say that Mexico is a safe and beautiful place to travel and we would love to see you here.

Safe and Happy Travels!

Denver Living Abroad Examiner: Traveling to Mexico is safe, despite US concerns

Denver Living Abroad Examiner: Traveling to Mexico is safe, despite US concerns

Posted using ShareThis

5 Tips To Have the Most Luxurious Caribbean Vacation You've Ever Had!

by: Stephanie Hetu

Tip #1 : Buy a beach front Caribbean villa! Buying Caribbean beach front property can range from a bargain to outrageous. This does not mean that the cheaper Caribbean beach front property is any less beautiful or luxurious than the more expensive ones, but rather means the location is different. For instance, Caribbean beach front property in the Bahamas is beautiful, over run with tourists, and incredibly expensive. However, Caribbean beach front property in the Dominican Republic is just as beautiful, has less tourists, and a considerably more affordable price tag.

Tip #2 : Rent a villa for your trip! If you are not into real estate investment, why not rent a villa instead? Often, the price will not be a lot more expensive then an all inclusive package in a crowded hotel. And instead of having to eat buffet food for a week, you can cook your own meal, or even have someone do it for you!

Tip #3 : Rent a Caribbean island! Did you know you can rent a whole island just for yourself? This can come with staff and everything you need to spend a luxurious vacation. It is also a very nice idea for a wedding!

Tip #4 : Charter a luxury Yacht! If you are looking for something a little less extravagant then the huge private Yachts, and a lot more affordable then there are a variety of luxury yacht charters Caribbean providers that will also be able to meet your needs and your budget. Vacation stress is a rather antagonistic expression but it is real and it can cause serious upset. There are countless reasons to get angry during your vacation: poor services, bad weather, high prices, noisy tourists, annoying insects and the list can go on an on. Yoga offers several methods of reducing the effects of such negative elements in the form of meditation, sakshin, pratyahara and pranayama. Meditation is also a recommended practice when vacation stress factors become active. Meditation helps you prepare for any potential stressful situations and is invaluable during and after these obstacles are gone. A detached state of consciousness that allows you to get a better understanding of the realities around you is referred to as sakshin.

Pratyahara is a state of peace obtained by reducing to a minimum all outside intereferences. The mind gets calm and relaxed, focusing towards the inside of your own body. By using pranayama you are able to calm yourself in almost any difficult situation by regulating your breathing and thus harmonizing the energies in your body. Being prepared for any stress factors is vital for a successful vacation. Anticipating a potential problem doesn’t mean worrying about it before hand. It means that when the problem does occur you should already have a good understanding of why it happened. You will always get much better results by addressing an issue with a clear and calm head, rather then acting on an impulse.

When a situation occurs try to “step out” of your body and see yourself in that particular setting. Objectivity is hard to reach, especially when it comes to your own self, but it helps to get a neutral perspective on things. Directing an action by the guidelines of an objective mind will prove more successful than jumping in head first into a situation. Concepts like “I couldn’t help myself” should be constantly discouraged from your own vocabulary and thoughts. Take control of your inner self and you will have better control of what’s outside your body in the surrounding world. You should first feel you body’s reaction to an outside element and only react afterwards, when a clear judgment dictates what to do. Breathing techniques are of great help when it comes to relaxing an impulsive spirit and bringing calm to a particular event or situation. You need to interrupt the actions of your subconscious mind before you are able to take control of a situation. Initial responses are hasty and often very hard to avoid, but it is essential that, through practice, you get a constant feeling of control over your reactions. The first reaction to a negative element can be either that of fighting back or that of fleeing.

In any of the two cases a considerable amount of tensions fills you body, and it could be days or weeks before you manage to get over this unfortunate event. A calm and balanced response has chances of eliminating any sort of tension before it even gets a chance to start growing. Remember that most vacations are short and you can’t afford to spend half of your stay in a negative mood. After all, you are there to try to recharge your energy, not to try to waste it on meaningless tensions.

About the author: Gavin Dye is the author and webmaster at http://www.yoga-supplies-4u.comwhere you can find out more about the health benefits of Yoga, and information on how to start practising Yoga

Tips for Taking Better Vacation Photos

by: Valerie Goettsch

Photos are a great way to share your travel experiences with family and friends. Here are a few suggestions to help you capture vacation memories you will treasure for years to come.

PLAN AHEAD
Make sure your digital camera is in good working order before you go, and keep it in a water- and shock-resistant case. Bring two sets of rechargeable batteries and don’t forget the charger and relevant cords. Make sure your camera has enough memory. Packing an extra memory card is wise, as there is nothing worse than running out of room for pictures halfway down the Grand Canyon. It may be tempting to lower the resolution so you can store more pictures, but you will regret this later as it may result in poorer quality prints, or you will be limited to smaller size prints. Set your camera at its highest quality JPEG setting and get more memory if you have to. You will appreciate this when you’re viewing and printing your photos after your trip.

TAKE LOTS AND LOTS OF PICTURES.
With a digital camera you can always erase the photos you don’t want. Take pictures of anything you find interesting and try to focus on some of the details such as an attractive doorway or a colorful market, not just panoramic scenes or major landmarks. Let your pictures tell a story by creating a visual diary of your trip. Include street scenes, interesting signs, people you see along the way. For variety take both vertical and horizontal pictures.

READY FOR YOUR CLOSE-UP?
When taking people shots, don’t make the mistake of standing too far away. You want to be able to recognize the people in your photos. Get close enough so you can see the expressions on your subjects faces. Zoom in on individuals or capture them from the waist up. Pictures are often more interesting when you can catch people at candid, un-posed moments. In posed photos, try to incorporate some of the background into your shot. Try snapping from interesting angles rather than simply head-on.

USE YOUR FLASH
When photographing in bright sunlight, setting your camera’s “fill” or “forced” flash is very helpful, particularly when photographing people. Brilliant sunlight often makes people's faces look harsh, casting dark shadows under the eyes and accentuating wrinkles. The daytime fill-in flash will soften the lighting and make the images more flattering. Your family and friends in the photos will thank you!

EDIT AND ENHANCE YOUR FAVORITE SHOTS
When you get home you can edit, crop and enhance your favorites using photo editing software such as Foto Finish, Ulead or Photoshop Elements. Consider adding drama to your images by turning some of your color photos into black and white or sepia tones and then upload all your images to an online photo printing service like Ofoto or Shutterfly for fast and convenient prints. You can take your best snaps and use your photo editing software to create a photo calendar or make photo cards for personal notes, or to email your favorites to family and friends. Most of all have fun with your camera!

About the Author: Valerie Goettsch publishes the digital photography website http://www.digitalphotos101.com featuring reviews of photo editing and album software and digital photo printing services.

Dancers and Animators Needed for 5 Star Mexico Resort

We are hiring girls for the Entertainment team in Los Cabos Mexico.

This is an invitation to be part of an amazing team if you would enjoy working with us in the sand and sun!

We are hiring dancers/animators. This type of vacation package includes everything from itinerary planning to hotel bookings; site seeing packages and adventure sports trips. All inclusive vacations are enjoyed by everyone as they are so easy to book, saving you time by arranging all the different aspects of the trip in one easy step.

These packages are designed for those people seeking comfort and ease from their holidays right from the word go.The popularity of all inclusive vacations has seen large increases, due in part because of the busy lives that we lead. We often find that booking a much needed vacation gets pushed to the bottom of the list as it's too time consuming to arrange. However, all inclusive packages are suitable for even the busiest person, as they are so straight forward to book.

The most important decision you need to make when booking an all inclusive vacation involves thinking carefully about what you wish to get from your holiday. Are you after a break that involves nothing more strenuous than walking from sun lounger to the bar and back or do you want to be involved in activities from 8am to 7pm? It is up to you to decide the exotic location that can give you all the comforts and amenities that you need. You can choose from beach vacations that offer lots of water sports or breathtaking mountain views that give you opportunity for adventure sports.

No matter what location you choose for your vacation, you can usually be happy that everything you need is included with the booking. Although, it is worth pointing out that not every vacation package is created equal. Read the small print carefully to help you come to a decision. Some holidays, for example, only offer local brand alcohol, or buffet style meals, whereas with others there are no such restrictions.

There are numerous travel agencies that offer all inclusive vacations, covering a wide range of budgets, destinations and levels of service. You can select from the available range according to your holiday budget. A good tip is: if you have left your booking to the last minute you can take advantage of discounts that the operators offer on unfilled vacations. If you are not worried about visiting a particular destination - and lets face it, most people on an all inclusive vacation rarely leave the hotel grounds - shop around for the best deal. This way you can get a really luxurious holiday for a modest amount.

About the Author: Kirsten Whittaker offers readers the opportunity to read more articles on all inclusive vacations at http://www.allinclusiveguide.info/allinclusivearticles/ or for further information and resources to visit http://www.allinclusiveguide.info

Dancer/Activities for Huatulco Beach Resort

The Ideal candidate must have but not limited to:
· A positive attitude and disposition to work as a team.
· Knowledge of different sport activities, such as aerobics, volleyball, basketball, etc.
· An ability of human relations since it is required to interact with the guests (kids and adults) on a regular basis, as well as on the specific schedules
· Learn and dance choreographies for each specific dance and daily show
· Must have dancing skills in Jazz & Tropical music.
· Open and close activities centre (responsibilities alternated during the week)
· Participate and in daily activities in the swimming pool, gym, and on the beach
· Ability to work the regular schedule of 09:00 to 14:00 and 20:00 to 24:00 hours daily with one day off per week
· Participate in night activities after 23:00 four days a week.
· Take care of and maintain personal image as well as the hotel image by observing moral standards, internal procedures of work, as well as the house rules

Salary:
· Net Pay $6,500.00 Pesos Monthly
· Vacations 6 days annual
· Christmas bonus 15 days annual
· Medical government Services

Benefits:
· House: Furnished shared apartment in/out (in property or out - will be subject to availability of the hotel. Wherever that may be. New city, new you. So what should you do next? You probably have no clue seeing as you're new in town and know nobody, and this is a problem that is shared amongst many travellers.
What can you do? Well, if you're in a hotel you could ask the concierge. Depending on the hotel, they can be quite helpful and can point you in the right direction for touristy activities. Usually, though, they take two approaches. The first is bombarding you with questions about what kind of thing you want to do. Although, this is a valid method, a lot of the time you have no idea what you want to do, which is why you asked them in the first place.
The second approach is bombarding you with leaflets, which have been put in the hotel lobby by all of the company's that want your business to show you what it's like to be a tourist in the area. That's okay, but when you leave, you're still wondering what the place would be like if you were a local.
What about doing the research yourself? Now we're talking! There are a plethora of guides, magazines and newspapers that give you various things that are going on while you are there.
However, select them wisely as many publications are again created by company's vying for your business and are filled with adverts and infomercial type articles that can just take you back to the leaflet phenomenon that I mentioned before.
One of the easiest ways of finding out what to do in each town is to search online, and there are now many websites that tell you what you can do, that are targeted at both visitors and locals!
One new website, TrippedOff.com was created to provide the online community with information about travel experiences, ideas and articles, which are contributed by real travellers and locals. Members are part of a global community and can make friends all over the World, which is handy if you're on your own and want friends to accompany you while you're in town, whilst sharing fun and amazing things that can be done in destinations ranging from busy metropolises to obscure villages. One big difference between TrippedOff.com and other travel sites, is that the site targets all types of travel experiences that normal tourists may not discover.
So when you're travelling to a new place, try and do some research. I would recommend doing it online before your trip but it's good to know that if you're there already, you can go to a travel website quickly and find great activities that you would be thrilled to experience!

About the Author: Martin Style is the editor of Meltin Magazine Australia, an online magazine featuring smart travelling, delicious restaurants, great food, awesome technology and improving lifestyle.

Did I Pack My Toothbrush?

by: Stacey Agin Murray

For many of us summertime = vacation time. Some people will spend their days off at the local pool. Some may choose to sightsee in their own town. Many will leave behind the comforts of home for the open road. Regardless of the destination or mode of transportation, it is important to be organized for travel.
A few benefits of being organized for travel:

1. Being organized will save you time.
Having a copy of your packing list on the computer will cut down on the time used for re-creating it every time you travel.

2. Being organized will save you money.
Doing pre-travel shopping at home will save you big bucks (especially on film and batteries...) that might be otherwise be spent at a tourist trap.

3. Being organized will save you stress.
No need to stress while scrounging for your tickets and ID at the airport if all of your paperwork is organized in one place.

Follow these organizing tips to keep your vacation a stress-free, time and money saving event:
Plan ahead. Create a general itinerary before you travel. Grab pen and paper and jot down your travel times, hotel check-in/check-out times, and a list of activities/places you’d like to visit. This will help you make sure you have allowed enough time to get to your destination, and whether or not you’ve scheduled too many activities for one day.

* Stop by your local ‘AAA’ office for a Triptik and other travel-related services to help map out
your route if driving.
Create a checklist to help you pack. Keep it on the computer so you don’t have to write it over every time you leave home. Use it as a template and update it before each trip to include anything new such as medications, toiletries, accessories, etc.

Keep all information related to your trip in one place. Create a folder for papers such as reservations, confirmations, and tickets. When you look for the information you need before or
during your trip, you’ll have it all at your fingertips.

Keep a toiletry bag packed with small sized travel sized-containers all year round. By doing so,
you’re always ready for a long trip or an overnight stay. Take a quick inventory of its contents before you leave home—you might have run out of toothpaste on your last trip.

*If your favorite products don’t come in sample sizes, purchase small, travel sized containers
and fill them with your favorite shampoo and creams. Label them clearly so you don’t accidentally condition your hair with a facial moisturizer...

Place items you’ll need immediately at the top of your suitcase. Items such as comfortable shoes, pajamas, and toiletries are more easily accessible if they’re closer to top. When you’re tired from a long journey, the last thing you want to be doing is rummaging through your suitcase.

Use suitcase organizers to separate outfits or types of clothing. Products such as Pack-It Cubes or Ziploc bags do the job well. Hefty makes One-Zip 2.5 gallon bags (found in many supermarkets) that are large enough to organize clothes and later can be used to keep laundry or wet bathing suits away from the rest of your belongings.

*Wearing your bulkiest pair of shoes while traveling will give you more space in your suitcase.
Organize your wardrobe around one basic color such as black, navy, or brown to prevent overpacking. You’ll be able to mix and match easily and you won’t need to bring a ton of different shoes. Also, when packing--think about your vacation activities. Will they include hiking? Days at the beach? Having dinner with relatives? Think ahead and pack items you may need for those activities such as band-aids for hiking, aloe vera for sunburns, and the scarf Aunt Shirley gave you for your birthday if you’ll be seeing her.

Travel safely and have an organized trip!

Stacey Agin Murray, professional organizer and owner of Organized Artistry, LLC, transforms
'mess' into 'masterpiece' with patience, organizing know-how, and a sense of humor. During that vacation, I kept a travel journal in which I made notes of the places I visited, the people I met and the events that occurred. I still get out that travel journal and read through some of the entries. The problem with the journal was that the entries were not easy to share. I still had to write postcards and letters to my family and friends.

Now, with the advent of blogs (web logs) your travel journal can also serve as a way of sharing your vacation with your family and friends. Your friends will be able to immediately read about your adventures as soon as you've written about them. No need to buy stamps or send letters via snail mail. Because you're writing a blog, there's also no need to send out multiple emails either. Write it once and your done. Your friends and family can subscribe to your blog and they are automatically notified when you make an entry. Additionally, your friends can make comments on your blog post that are available for others to see, giving your friends an opportunity to actively participate in your vacation.

The best part about your blog is that while you are sharing your vacation with your family and friends, you'll also be making a record of your vacation so that you'll be able to easily remember what you did and reminisce about the great times or the challenges that you faced.Because blogs are web-based, you can make an entry from any location that has access to the Internet. Many of my friends have started to make regular trips to an Internet cafe a standard part of their vacations. Many hotels also offer and Internet terminal that you can use for a few minutes. There are many websites where you can post your blog for free. Many of them even allow you to post pictures. Some blogs even specialize in travel logs.

Two of my favorites are:
Travellerspoint - Allows you to create a public travel blog or a private travel diary that is password protected for selected viewers.
TravelBlog - Provides blog space and allows for unlimited photos in your travel journal. If you've got the travel bug, but can break away from work or don't have appropriate funds, you can go on a virtual vacation by subscribing to a travel blog that someone else is keeping.

You may also want to read through a blog of someone who's been to the destination that you're planning to visit. You'll get first hand travel tips and advice for that destination.A travel blog can enhance your vacation by allowing your friends and family to participate as well as creating a record of the trip that you can enjoy later. Make sure you create one for your next vacation.

About the Author: Jed Clark is a travel writer, photographer and long-time San Francisco resident.
