Hanne Kortegaard is a Danish-based designer who recently delivered her contemporary seating design as the graduation project from the Danish Design School in Copenhagen.

“The Mussel is intended for young people but also children and adults. I have tried to visualize the symbiosis that can occur between child and adult in a cozy environment. Transferring the concept and form of the mussel, into a form where I have let myself be inspired by the mussels idiom. Because the mussel for me symbolizes and expresses the symbiosis and dependence of two objects – the shell and the mussel.” — Hanne Kortegaard

Inspired by the classic nordic milk stool and Nordic tradition of wood and glass, NORM architects Kasper R?nn & Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen have created the Milk Lamp for &tradition. Milk Lamp is the first item in a series of sensory design for the home that comes in two flavors of black or white cord.

The lamp itself is made in white translucent glass, acrylic and oak. It is dimensioned to fit in all corners of the home for a perfect cosy atmosphere. The angle of the legs, the soft edges and the cord in the middle gives the lamp its anthropomorphic character. It is the perfect decoration for any swedish apartment or any other modern interior design.
