Here are some of the best Publix deals I've found that are available from Thursday, June 20, 2013, through Wednesday, June 26, 2013. The prices are for Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee, and Monroe counties in Florida, including the cities of Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Stuart, Port St. Lucie, Vero Beach, and Key West.

Great stockup week! (Wednesday Weekly Shopping)

The good news for this week's shopping is that I was able to fill my stockpile with lots of great things. Tons of pasta, body wash, and tissues are now filling my shelves. I won't need to buy those products for a while.

The bad news? I went over my $80 budget again.

I'm sure there will be some lousy sales weeks coming up and I'll be able to get my yearly average down. And I purchased some Enjoy the City coupon books, so I'll be able to use those great $5 off $30 Winn-Dixie coupons at Publix and reduce my totals more.

Here's what I got this week:

Publix trips 1 and 2: Spent $5.56, saved $29.30

Publix trip 3: Spent $27.41, saved $45.59

ALDI trip 1: Spent $40.01

ALDI trip 2: Spent $21.19

And, I went to Walmart and purchased tortillas, applesauce, sandwich bags, whole wheat flour, and dark chocolate chips. I spent a total of $11.62.

Overall, this week I spent $105.79 for items which retail for $180.68, or a 41% savings based on the retail value of the products at the stores where they were purchased.

For the year (25 weeks), I spent $2,076.65 for items which retailed for $3,551.45 and saved $1,474.80, or a 42% savings. That's an average of $83.07 spent each week for a family of five (husband, wife, and daughters ages 15, 12, and 8), including lots of fresh produce, dairy items, and kosher meat, as well as paper and plastic goods, health and beauty items, and cleaning supplies.

In 2011, I spent $4,017.13 for items which retailed for $7,344.08, saving 45% and spending an average of $77.25 per week for the year.

In 2012, I spent $4,007.13 for items which retailed for $7,591.37, saving 47% and spending an average of $77.06 per week for the year.

Do your feet hurt? Try Yogatoes!

You'd think the Frugal Follies household would be free of foot problems. After all, we are pretty much always barefoot in the house, year-round! And outside of the house, I'm usually wearing sneakers or flip-flops. High heels are only worn for the most special occasions.

However, I'm still on my feet for most of the day, and I've experienced some pain in my toes. They often feel like they've been pushed together too tightly. I love to get foot rubs to get rid of the pain, but obviously that can't be done all the time. (Or can it?... No, it can't.)

So when I heard about YogaToes, I really wanted to give the product a try!

YogaToes help fix foot problem by spreading, stretching, and exercising your toes. They help correct and realign your foot structure, and they strengthen and stretch the muscles in your feet and toes.

Using them was really easy - just moisten your feet with some water, then slide your toes into each of the toe compartments. I liked that the YogaToes came in three sizes for women - with my small feet, I got the extra-small size.

Once my toes were in, I could feel how they were stretching my toes apart from each other. Isolating each toes from the others felt really good! At first, I wore them for just a few minutes, but after a few wearings I extended the length of time to about 30 minutes.

Wearing them made me feel like I was pampering myself. And don't we all need a few minutes a day to pamper ourselves? YogaToes can even help improve your foot circulation, so it's not just for vanity - by using YogaToes, you're helping your health!

When I took them off, I had the oddest sensation - my toes weren't mashed up against each other! In fact, they were separated without any effort from me to do it. That feeling does go away, but the effects last longer each time I use them.

I really enjoyed trying out YogaToes, and I plan to continue using them!

Garden ideas - concrete block gardens and children's projects

Every year, I have great aspirations to start a great edible garden. And each year, I end up not starting it.

Perhaps this is the year that I will start! Here in South Florida, the edible gardening season starts in fall with traditional summer vegetables, then spring/fall vegetables in the winter, and then summer vegetables again in the spring. During the summer, the only vegetables that grow are tropical plants.

But now is the time for me to start planning my fall garden! I'd love to create a concrete block garden. I've collected a bunch of photos of them on Pinterest to inspire me. Here are a few of my favorites:

Designing the concrete block garden will be the fun part! Then we'll need to clear the ground, place the blocks, and fill the open spots with a potting soil like Shake n’ Feed Moisture Control All Purpose Plant Food and Moisture Control Potting Mix. Then comes the fun part - planting the seeds and the plants! And hopefully with that kind of time invested in starting the garden, I'll be sure to take good care of my plants and get some great fresh vegetables at the end!

Not only do I want to start my own garden, I also want to get my kids involved. Although I think they'll enjoy helping me, they'll probably want some garden projects of their own.

That's why I was so excited to hear about The Gro Project, an exciting series of garden products from .Miracle-Gro.

Here is one project I love and that I think my kids will love to make as well - the Toyrarium project. Using a fishbowl, cactus plants, plastic toys, rocks, and Miracle-Gro potting mix, my children will be able to make their own terrarium that's customized just for them!

It's easy to focus completely on the Publix weekly sales flyer deals, but remember that there are also great deals in the two Advantage Buy sales flyers!

Bloggers like me used to call these flyers by the green flyer, for household items, and the yellow flyer, for groceries. But recently, Publix has been using other colors for the flyers. So it's a little more confusing now, but remember to check them to see if there are good deals. They're available with the regular weekly sales flyers.

This week, I got a great deal on Scotties tissues from one of the flyers. They're on sale for 2 for $1.25, or 63¢ each. Using a $1/2 Scotties tissue printable (zip 12345) coupon, that means each box is 13¢! Be sure to stock up not only for your household needs, but for school needs for next school year!

And, there's also a money-making deal on Sunlight dishwashing liquid. It's 69¢ for a bottle, and with this $1/1 Sunlight Dish Detergent, exp. 6/30/13 (RP 05/19/13) coupon, it's a moneymaker! Unfortunately, my store was completely out of the product when I got there.

ALDI: Buying more for summer

I'm finding I'm doing more and more of my weekly shopping at ALDI instead of Publix or other stores.

I just don't have the time right now to go to five or six stores like I used to. (How did I do that back then? It's not like time is going by faster... or is it?)

And it seems like the sales at Publix aren't as good as they used to be. Sure, there are occasionally some great deals, like last week's pasta and body wash deals. But otherwise, even on sale and with coupons, ALDI house brands often beat Publix name brands.

Not only am I buying more at ALDI, I'm buying more overall! That's because it's summer, so the kids are home a lot more, and we're not doing as many activities in the afternoons and evenings. The break from all the running around is nice! But that means we're going through more milk and juice than during the school year. And the snacks are far more tempting as well!

Here's what I got this week:
