LA & SD

A few photos I dug out from a trip to Los Angeles and San Diego back in September. The first seven were L.A., and the rest were S.D. More after the jump.

The Venice Boardwalk is strange for sure. This photo contains many elements from the boardwalk — weird stilt dude, guy on a skateboard and a palm & tarot card reading sign.

Another dude cruising around Venice. Pretty ridiculous.

My buddy, Mike, loves his Pumps. He also came back from New York with a new fashion trend — jorts. Not sure how I feel about that one yet.

San Diego

This is my good buddy, Chris. Grew up together back in West Virginia. He’s a beach lifeguard in San Diego now. Even got to see him do a rescue while I was down there. Proud of this guy for sure!

Last Day in Tokyo

During my last day in Tokyo I headed over to the Ginza district. It’s sort of the high-end shopping area with more-or-less every designer brand you’ve ever heard of. Kind of an interesting contrast to Shibuya, where I’d been for most of the trip. More photos after the jump.

Drinking buddies for the night — A Japanese couple that didn’t speak any english and David, a kid from Ireland. Nothing like all-you-can-drink to bring strangers together I guess.

Hello From the Future

I’m in Tokyo, which for those of you who don’t know, is in the future. It’s Tuesday afternoon here right now. Oh, it’s only Monday back in Seattle? Yeah, that’s what I thought. So make sure you let me know if you need any winning lottery numbers.

Jeff and Leslie’s Wedding

Last weekend was Jeff Thomas and Leslie Cook’s wedding up in Vancouver. Since Erik Seo and Dan Carr were both there with their SLRs, I just pocketed my G10 and snapped a few. A couple people got married, lots of skiers got drunk and everyone had a good time. More photos after the jump.
