Up-and-coming punkstep band Scarlet Harlots are set to release an EP featuring 3 remixes of ‘A Secret’ on Bigger than Barry Records. The EP is due for digital release today, 19th of October on Beatport and will be available from all other online stores from November 2nd.

With remixes from Shorterz, Enigma and Kitch’n Sync, ‘A Secret’ features the vocal talent of front-man Sam Baylis, whose melodies have undeniably helped the Scarlet Harlots guarantee their future on the alternative scene. Dj/Producer & Label Manager of BMKLTSCH RCRDS, Mike Mago has been in touch with some previews of what's in store from BMKLTSCH RCRDS.
After the widely acclaimed 'Living The Life' EP by the Mightyfools and the DumDum Genetics vol. 1 mix cd. They've got a fresh new release for you from Baskerville, titled 'Reloaded'

Though this act, consisting of 2 producers, is still pretty young, the experience of these 2 guys in this scene is really big. Their forthcoming debut album will be filled with collaborations with big artists like Pete Philly, Elten, EVO (Chocolate Puma) and Michael 'Clip' Payne (member of George' Clintons P-funk All-stars)

This EP contains the 2 orignals 'Reloaded' ft Elten and 'One Dollar Dave' and 3 remixes by Boemklatsch, Audiostalkers and Elected. The EP will be downloadable on iTunes, Beatport and loads of other download portals

The single 'Reloaded' already has major support from big gun DJ's like Larry Tee, Sharkslayer and Gtronic.

Jazzy, Jackin', Funked up CHOONZ is how to describe Kyle Watson. This is one kid to keep an eye on! Being brought up around music, Kyle took piano lessons for 8 solid years while studying music at school. In 2006 Kyle began producing with Reason for fun little did he know what lied ahead as he continued to produce, he continued to develop his own musical style.

In early 2007 Influencial South African Trance Dj James G convinced Kyle to break into his local EDM Industry in South Africa. It was in march of '07 Kyle saw his first record deal.

In his short career, Kyle has already seen a hit in the Beatport Top 100 with his take on Tom Eq's - Skewer, which rose to the top 20. His remix of Terrance Dizkos - Be Alright soared to number 6 on DjDownload's Tech house chart and his Original work 'Doubting You' also sold at number 13 on the Beatport Charts.

In 2008 Kyle was given the chance to add his own touch to the classic tune 'It's a fine day' where it climbed the DMC Buzz chart to number 1 within a week. Kyle has a bright future in front of him, expect big things!

I've been sent some awesome new music lately, some previews some freebies but I've been a bit over worked and by the time I get home from work I seem to have no energy to blog. So tonight I'm gonna make it short and sweet.

The first track I want to share with you is a Big Beat meets Glitch house number by RuN RiOT called Disco Itch.

As the name suggest's it's got a bit of a Disco flavour with a glitch that makes ya wanna itch. The intro kinda reminds that of The Phantom's Revenge. Viva La Discotech

I saw Coldplay last night at Acer Arena in Sydney. A good friend of mine got suite tickets and I couldn't say no!
I must say I wasn't a big fan of Coldplay but after seeing them play live, my appreciation for their music has seemed to grow! They put on a great live show with plenty of visuals, lighting, lots of glowing confetty and yellow balloons (for their song yellow of course).
Towards the end of the night they finished playing and began to walk down the side of the crowd and it was at this point I thought it was Encore time but instead they walked up from ground to level one of the grand stand and low and behold they had a little stage setup right amongst the crowd. It was here were they played a cover of The Monkees - I'm a beliver which was done quiet well. Front man Chris Martin was playing the organ by this little hand held keyboard, not quiet sure what it was exactly, but it was cool. All in all it was a good show. Thanks Dean :)

I saw these guys at PANG! on the 27th of Feb and I was blown away. If you missed these guys while they were out here running amuck then I've got a couple of treats for you.
These guys are the most exciting produces for me yet. I just love how tight they get their percussion and how quickly samples get thrown around in their tracks, makes it so Funky!

Tom Young is a 23 year old Producer/Live Performer from the U.K. who's pumping out some P.H.A.T as tunes. Tom recently told me he grew up in the same town as The Prodigy (Braintree, Essex) and went to the same school as Liam Howlett, hence the huge influence.
Tom has won himself a number of awards, which include 'Young Musician of the Year' and the 'Sound Plus Award for Innovation' and I can see why, this guy has got some skills! But it doesn't stop there, he's also collaborated with Liverpool's own Killaflaw on 2 releases and since January Tom has set up his own record label ' WE ARE LIVE' and been Producing under the name RuN RiOT which he is currently in the process of putting together a live band for future shows. RuN RiOT's 4 track EP 'Charge' is due to be released May 25th. Put it in your calender and go buy it cause this stuff is EPIC!
Maybe one day we might see this guy on Australian Soil.

I just love the fat synth he's got going on and also, during the intro, the way it kinda sounds like you just hit the break on a turntable .

A tragic loss of a friend and work colleague Michael Parsons who lost his life in an accident at work on Monday afternoon. Known to friends as "Micko" or "Parso" You will be missed!

To whom I dedicate my remix of Dizzee Rascal - Fix up look sharp as Micko got me hooked on Dizzee Rascal, I feel I would not have made this remix if it wasn't for him, which has given me some recognition of late.

I found this next remix by Ratatat and it really gave the song a different feeling and given the situation, to me, it has significance to this post. 
It really brings a tear to my eye when I hear it :(
