This post is dedicated to congratulate the winner – Zadman5311 – of this last weekend Pokerstars Sunday Million and Pokerstars.com for the 2 records that were set!

This was the largest ever prize pool = $3,656,600 with the largest ever field of players = 18,283 of the Pokerstars Sunday Million with a buy-in of $215 NL Holdem.
With this amount the top 5 players would get six-figures prizes and the number one could get $365,670.77. I say… That must be a good daily salary anywhere in the world

After 11 hours we end up with the following player lineup for the final table:

Name - Amount of chips
ZyeD3 – 22,839,804
Zadman5311 – 17,636,300
The Omaholic – 18,935,611
MATPOC28 – 18,997,596
m8675309a – 24,108,668
Guldlemmen4 – 43,419,898
waWe – 15,883,436
E-Daddie – 7,938,832
call110 – 13,069,855

When the table come down to 6 players they decided to start a discussion on how could they split the pot. Team PokerStars Pro Ivan Demidov was the host of the final table and supported during the discussion. With $30,000 set aside for the eventual winner the payouts were defined like this:

ZyeD3 (15,519,804 in chips) = $144,353.10
Zadman5311 (44,532,600 in chips) = $252,662.86
m8675309a (30,384,279 in chips) = $200,844.74
Guldlemmen4 (23,099,863 in chips) = $177,650.76
waWe (30,553,744 in chips) = $205,477.38
call110 (38,739,710 in chips) = $250,037.00

From that moment on the action continued with very good poker demonstrated by these players and end up with the following final hand:

m8675309a pushed all-in for 7,769,952 holding [Qd] [Tc], and Zadman5311 called quickly with [As] [4h]. The board came [7h] [2d] [8s] [2h] [Jh], and the ace kicker worked to eliminate m8675309a in second place.

Zadman5311 was the winner of the biggest $215 Pokerstars Sunday Million in history, claiming tournament title with a nice paycheck of $282,662.86!!!

Congratulations!!!

Hello again!

This post is dedicated to the last and biggest event of the WCOOP 2009 the Main Event with a buy-in of $5,200 NL Holdem – and to congratulate the winner Yevgeni „Jovial Gent“ Timoshenko that won $1,715,200 in prize money, a WCOOP gold bracelet and a trip to the Bahamas for the next PCA.

This was a 2-day event of online poker full of action and I just want to bring to you some of the highlights. There were together 2144 entrants with a prize pool of $10,720,000. That’s “only” ten times more than the usual Sunday Million of Pokerstars.com!

It has started on 20th September at 17.00 ET and has finished on 22nd September at 2.47 ET. Only the top 306 players in this tournament were in the money and they would take a “piece of the pie”. The huge payout was prepared for the final table, especially first two finishers, who would end up millionaires .

There were 178 players after the first day of the tournament ready for the 2nd battle. Here you can have seen many know players as J.C. Tran, PokerStars Pro Jan Heitman, winner of the Five-Star World Poker Classic WPT Championship 2009 Yevgeni “Jovial Gent” Timoshenko or Daniel “djk123″ Kelly, who was fighting for his 3rd WCOOP 2009 bracelet.

It was Daniel “djk123″ Kelly who was playing very solid poker game and created a good spot for himself as a chip leader in the 2nd day of the tournament, but few moments before the final table it was Yevgeni who started to fight back for the 1st position. Here you can see structure of the final table on the WCOOP 2009 event:

Seat Name Amount of chips
1 reddeevil 4.222.220
2 Mudvaynes 700.486
3 Jovial Gent 10.616,564
4 djk123 12.160.610
5 Udon Wannit 4.549.346
6 Chong94 3.857.482
7 Xaston 2.150.576
8 PeachyMer 3.617.956
9 Supa4real 1.004.760

The final table was very interesting and had the pleasure of having a lady with nick “PeachyMer” amongst all the guys. Unfortunately she has been eliminated by the chip leader djk123 and took the 9th place with $96,480.
The 4th place has been taken by the djk123, owner of already two WCOOP 2009 bracelets. After some action, 2 players end up heads up. Jovial Gent as a chipleader with about 32 Mill. in chips and Udon Wannit with about 10 Mill. in chips.

Here is the final hand – After a mini-raise from Wannit the flop was [6s] [Kc] [8h]. He was holding [6c] [5c] and has raised after Gent’s check. He got re-raised which forced him to shove all the remaining chips in. Jovial Gent showed 2 pairs with [Kd] [6d] and this hand made him the winner of the WCOOP 2009.

Daniel “djk123″ Kellly won title Player of the Series WCOOP 2009 and the Yevgeni “Jovial Gent” Timoshenko claimed the Main Event championship title.

Here is the final standings and prizes:

1	- Jovial Gent	from United States	- $1,715,200.00
2	- Udon Wannit from United States	- $1,286,400.00
3	- reddeevil	from Norway	- $933,712.00
4	- djk123	from United States	- $643,200.00
5	- Xaston	from United States	- $482,400.00
6	- Chong94	from United States	- $375,200.00
7 -	Mudvaynes	from United States	- $268,000.00
8	- Supa4real	from Netherlands	- $182,240.00
9	- PeachyMer	from United States	- $96,480.00
10	- slammedfire	from Canada	- $75,040.00

Looking into Yevgeni “Jovial Gent” Timoshenko past successes we can see that he is doing very well!
He has won the online tournament Sunday Million run by Pokerstars.com, he has won the PokerStars daily $100 rebuy for over $30,000, then the PokerStars Sunday $200 rebuy for over $60,000 and got another good result in the PokerStars Million – finishing fifth for $59,000. I can also mention a final table in the FullTilt 1k Monday for $14,000 and a fifth place in the UltimateBetSunday $200k for $11,000. I have to say Yevgeni „Jovial Gent“ Timoshenko knows about poker and he is indeed very skilled. His game speaks for him.

Hello dear poker friends!

Following our review to the European Poker Tour (EPT) 6 in Barcelona, I’ve decided to prepare a review about the next one – the EPT in London! This major poker event will last from the 2nd of October to the 7th of October. As you know, this is a season 6 of EPTs, so you can look forward very high standarts and richer mix of games and buy-ins to cater for more players.

You will be able to watch this event live at www.pokerstars.tv – and for non-stop coverage of the EPT action, you should also visit the PokerStars blog at www.pokerstarsblog.com – where you’ll find a lot of useful information and reviews of the action too.

How to qualify? Here is an easy answer. You just have to play EPT satellites available on Pokerstars and win seat to future events. You should have no problem finding Pokerstars satellites. Follow the Events tab in Pokerstars software, then go to EPT in the game lobby and register for the satellite of your choice. It’s so easy!

Here is the list of the next EPT satellites you can join:

EPT6 London: $800 Qualifier which starts on Sep 19 at 14.10 ET
EPT6 London: 10,000 FPP Qualifier which starts on Sep 27 at 15.00 ET

Those are just 2 examples of all the EPT satellites and qualifiers!

This will be the schedule for the main event in London:

Day 1A – Oct 02 12:00 PM
Day 1B – Oct 03 12:00 PM
Day 2 – Oct 04 12:00 PM
Day 3 – Oct 05 12:00 PM
Day 4 – Oct 06 12:00 PM
Final Day – Oct 07 12:00 PM

The whole tourney is taking place in Hilton London Metropole. You can see that this EPT is well prepared and now it’s up to you.

Hello poker friends!!

Today’s world is full of reality shows that you can watch on TV and finally there is one for us poker geeks – 2 Months, 2 Million! The premiere of this show was available for watching on TV Station G4TV this August. This is the first reality show about Poker and it’s about 4 instructors of online poker that have been working at DeucesCracked web. They are trying to grind at least $2,000,000 in 2 months time altogether. Sounds impossible? I think it won’t be easy as they will enjoy party life too, but we have to consider playing and grinding all the day is not so enjoyable

Four players – four men – all in one house together – those are: Brian “Flawless_Victory” Roberts, Dani “Ansky” Stern, Emil “whitelime” Patel and creator of the web DeucesCracked Jay “Krantz” Rosenkrantz. Their goal is obtain at least $2,000,000 in 2 months, in the way they like most – this means there is no strict bankroll management. This of course is very difficult and not recommended to beginners ?

The whole show is not only about playing poker and money grinding, but it’s connected with life inside and outside of the house. General info about all players can be found on http://g4tv.com/2m2mm, where you can find also information about personal chef and check their house. All of these guys seems be very OK and they have good sense of humour.

I also include below the first episode divided into two separate videos. I definitely recommend you to watch it – its always nice to see high stakes players in action. As you have heard, they have started playing from the scratch and have built their way through limits in short life time frame. So what you are waiting for? Sign up at 1 of our current promotions – Titan or Pokerstars – and try to build your own 2 Million!

Hello everyone! Today I have prepared another review on another great poker event which took place in Spain, Barcelona – the Europen Poker Tour (EPT) 6.

Every year there are more and more players registering and, of course, more and more name pros show up to take a chance at every time increasing prize-pool. Last year for example there were 619 contestants, who made the trip to Barcelona and the winner, Sebastian Ruthenberg, took home a prize of €1,361,000. The tournament counted also with many pros like Greg Raymer, Bertrand Grospellier (ElkY), Luca Pagano and Isabelle Mercier.

This year the tournament hosted by Pokerstars.com was a 6-Day event from September 4, 2009 to September 9, 2009 and had a buy-in of €8,300. A total of 479 players registered and were ready to collect a part of the total prize pool of €3,832,000.

Qualifying was possible live at the Casino Barcelona for €220 but for a lot of the players it’s always better to get your seat online, via the qualifiers offered by PokerStars.com – the biggest online poker site. Online satellites were running from as little as $2.22+111 FPPs. You could have also tried your luck through SnG tournaments. Through the special Pokerstars Steps promotion, players could earn their own EPT Barcelona package (which is much more comfortable and cheaper) for as little as $7.5 or 500 FPPs.

This year’s EPT Barcelona was full of action. It took 5 days for the Main Event to the final table and the last 8 players had the following amount of chips:

1	- Georgios Kapalas -	826,000
2	- Mihai Manole	- 410,000
3	- Santiago Terrazas Ambite	- 546,000
4	- Asa Smith	- 1,380,000
5	- Carter Phillips	- 4,421,000
6	- Matt Lapossie	- 2,938,000
7	- Toni Ojala	- 754,000
8	- Marc Goodwin	- 3,100,000

Carter Phillips managed to maintain his chip leader position and with proper play he finally finished in HU (heads-up) against Marc Goodwin – also well-known poker player, who has finished 3rd in Monte Carlo Millions 2005. After tough battle, which took more than 2 hours, this was the final hand:

On board Kd 5c 4h Qs has invested Goodwin about 4 million chips into 3 million chips pot with Ac 10s . After some time, there Phillips has decided to call with Kc Js . River didn’t improve Goodwin’s bluff and Carter Phillips took 1st place with EUR 850,000 and left Marc Goodwin on 2nd place with EUR 530,000.

Here are the results of the final table in prizes:

1 — Carter Phillips, USA, PokerStars qualifier — €850,000
2 — Marc Goodwin, UK — €530,000
3 — Santiago Terrazas, Spain, PokerStars player — €300,000
4 — Mihai Manole, Romania — €250,000
5 — Asa Smith, UK — €200,000
6 — Toni Ojala, Finland — €160,000
7 — Matt Lapossie, Canada, PokerStars qualifier — €120,000
8 — Georgios Kapalas, Greece — €80,000

Get free $25 at Pokerstars by registering following our step-by-step guide

Hello there!

For today I have decided to prepare a review on one of the biggest events for poker online of the year that’s is running right now – the Pokerstars WCOOP 2009!

Poker offers a lot of opportunities to earn big amount of money and WCOOP 2009 – World Championship of Online Poker – is one of them. A total prize pool of $45,486,800 will be distributed to the players this year playing on Pokerstars.com – one of the biggest online poker sites. There are 45 events altogether where you can show your skills and earn some big cash.
You just have to pick the one which best suits you and start playing. This includes NL or FL Holdem 6max or just classic full ring tournament. You can also choose one of the Omaha, it could be Pot Limit 6max or just try completely different type as Badugi, Razz, 5-Card Draw or 7-Card Stud. Each type of poker has different rules, which are strictly followed. As I said, it’s up to you

As for today there are few tournaments already finished, most of them NL Holdem, followed by FL and Omaha. Here you can see some of the lucky winners who have participated in these past events so far:

Event 1: $215 No Limit Holdem [6-Max]
Winner: ChopSueyyy from Finland with total prize $234,421.82

Event 2: $215 Razz
Winner: djk123 from United States with total prize $53,410.01

Event 3: $215 Pot Limit Omaha [6-Max]
Winner: MUSTAFABET from United Kingdom with total prize $86,247.01

Event 4: $215 No Limit Single Draw 2-7 W/Rebuys
Winner: 2FLY2TILT from Spain with total prize $42,000

Event 5: $109 8-Game [10 minute levels]
Winner: FireGoblin from United States with total prize $23,230.84

… and more than 15 have finished so far …

As you can see, there are a lot of money involved and, of course, reasons to celebrate. It could be you who will win such massive prize next time. Let’s have a look at the incoming events:

Event 26: $215 No Limit Holdem
Event 28: $1050 No Limit Holdem [2-Day]
Event 31: $320 PL Omaha W/Rebuys [6-Max]
Event 32: $530 7-Card Stud Hi-Lo
Event 33: $1050 No Limit Holdem
Event 35: $320 Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo
Event 37: $2100 Pot Limit Omaha [6-Max]
Event 39: $1050 Fixed Limit Holdem [6-Max]
Event 43: $215 No Limit Holdem

… and finally, the biggest event of the Pokerstars WCOOP 2009 …

Event 45: $5200 No Limit Holdem Main Event [2-Day]

The only thing you need is just register to the tournament directly, but you have another option too. Pokerstars is running a lot of satellites where you can win your seat much more cheaper. They are running every day and you can buy-in using cash or just spend your FPPs for it. You will find all the latest information at www.wcoop.com

I definitely wish you good luck and I hope to be writing about you next time!

Hi there!

We would like to give you a quick update on “boku87″ pokerstars challenge. “boku87″ is a famous online poker player and this time he is trying to go from $5 to $100,000 in 1 year.

He started on the 15th of July in the micro stakes playing only sit-and-go tournaments. At the moment you can find him mostly at the $12 sit and gos with 180 players.

5 weeks after, looking into his statistics, he can see that he has played a total of 3999 tournaments and made a profit of $10,736!!! Some additional interesting information of his performance; although his profit is on $10,736 he has a total in prizes of $73,259 so his return on investment is 14,6%; he gets in the money 16,2% of all tournaments. This might help you to understand that although he plays a lot not always quantity represents quality but never the less this are quite good statistics.

We will keep posting you with updates of this challenge and of course keep in mind that we would love to promote and be sponsors for any of you who feels that could do something similiar.

Looking forward to hear from you!
