Hi guys!! How are you? Before we start to learn magic, I wanna ask you guys do you really know what is magic? Magic is an art that purpose is to control or forecast nature events, or forces by invoking the supernatural. For me, I would say that magic is the exercise of sleight of hand or conjuring for entertainment. First of all, have you ever wonder that you would probably perform lots of magic? By reading to this blog, I can teach you some easy magic tricks where you can perform it at anytime and anywhere. In order to make things easy, I have categorized these magic into 3 main categories which are the :-

Stage Illusion

Have you ever ask yourself what is stage illusion? Well, stage illusion is a magic which normally performed on a stage, and it most commonly consists of illusions. Illusion is just an effect where a magician demonstrates something. However, due to the optical reasons, what the audience is seeing the magician demonstrates is not actually what is being done.

Assistants are needed for the stage magic and the usage of magic tools are required too. Stage magic can be anything from simple producing a tiger in an empty cage, levitating above ground, or even sawing a women into half. In short, most of the magic shown on television is considered stage magic although technically is television magic.

In this section, I will teach you some simply stage illusions or stage magic so that you can identify the secret of the stage magic that you are watching without being cheated by the magician. However, I found that it is quite hard for me to write all the steps and the tricks just for one of the stage illusions. To make things easier, I have chosen video instead of writing all the steps.

~Vanish Women
Let's talk about the effect of this magic first. In this magic, a magic box which can fit a normal adult is displayed to audiences in order to ensure that the box is empty in initial. After the box has been shown to audiences, an assistant is invited by magician and is asked to enter the box. After she has entered the box, the box is now closed. After a while, when the magician opens the box, the assistant has been vanished. Please play the video to see the effect of this magic and also the secret of this magic.

Reds And Blacks

~Reds And Blacks

In this magic, you can let your spectator to choose two cards from a deck of cards and then let he/she put int back to the deck of cards and even shuffle it. You are ale to find your the two cards that he/she chosen. Believe it or nor? Try it out your self.

1) First of all, you have to secretly separate your cards into two piles with the same color (e.i reds and blacks). Then put these two piles of cards (reds and blacks) back into one pile (put it back together).

NOTE : Do not shuffle the deck after you put two piles back into one pile.

2) Now, you can start your magic by telling your spectator that you now separate the deck of cards into two piles and place it on table. Now, you allow he/she to choose one card from each pile. Ask he/she to remember the cards they chosen and place each card back to opposite pile.

3) Then, you allow he/she to shuffle each piles of cards separately. Next, you put two piles of cards back into one pile.

4) Now, you can start to look through the cards and pick out the two cards that he/she chosen.

TIP : Although this magic is looked like quite simple and easy. However, practice is required before you preform this magic to your audience.

Stage Illusions are the magic which normally performed to a large group of audiences. Since this type of magic is performed to many audiences, so it requires a large space and thus it is typically performed within an auditorium. Stage illusions deals with large space, so assistants is needed and sometimes exotic animals such as tigers, dogs and elephants are included too. In this "Stage Illusions" section, I am going to teach you some stage illusions magic. However, since we are dealing with stage illusions magic, so I have made all the effects and explanations of the stage illusions magic tricks into video. All you have to do is to play the video and learn it.

The effect of this magic is that you allow your spectator to choose a card from a deck of cards. Then you ask he/she remembers the card and place the card back to the deck and let he/she shuffles it. Once he/she finished shuffle, you manage to search out he/she 's card from the deck. Amazing? let's learn about it.

1) You ask your spectator to choose a card from a deck of cards.

2) Ask he/she to remember the card and then place the card back to the top of the deck.

NOTE : Now, try to ask some questions (e.i do you still remember your card) and secretly you take the deck of cards behind your back and flip the top card over so that the card is now facing up.

3) Now, you bring the deck of card back in front of you with the card they chosen facing you and the bottom card facing your spectator. You can ask he/she whether this card is the one they chosen.

NOTE : Secretly, you can see the card he/she chosen since it is now facing you while the bottom card is facing them.

4) Once again you bring the deck of cards back to behind of you and flip the top card over again so that it is now facing down. Now you can bring the deck of card back to front of your spectator and let he/she to shuffles the cards.

5) Once he/she finished shuffle, you can take back the deck of cards and start to search for the card that he/she chosen.

TIP : Practice is required before you perform this magic especially how to ask question to your spectator to attract their attention so that they will not notice you are flipping the top card at behind.

~ Magic Card Divining

Let's talk about the effect of this magic. A pack of cards is thoroughly shuffled. You give the pack of card be to spectator to shuffle if they want intend to do that. Once the pack has been thoroughly shuffled, the cards are then spread face down on the table. The magician is then able to point to any card and tell which color of suit it belongs to. Unbelievable? See how it works at below.

Before beginning this trick, you first separate all the red suited cards from the black suited cones. Put the red and black suited cards into two separate blocks. Take the red suited block of cards and while holding the pack, face up, bend the cards up so that they form a slight arch. Then put them down and pick up the black suited pack.

Next, holding the black suited pack face down, bend the cards up towards you forming a slight arch. Two separate blocks of cards can then be put back together. The pack is now ready to be shuffled. After shuffling, spread the pack face down on the table and you can secretly tell the red and black cards apart as they have slight bends in them. For example the red cards curl down slightly and the black cards curl up slightly, This will not usually be noticed by your audience. You can even identify the colour of each face down card.

~ Handkerchief And Vanishing Coin Trick

The effect of this magic is that a magician put a coin into the handkerchief. Then turns it over and then the coin disappears from inside the handkerchief. Wanna learn it? Continue to read the following.

1)Before you start this magic, you secretly wrap a rubber band around your fingers and thumb
Secret :You secretly wrap a rubber band around your fingers and thumb.

.............................................................A) Place elastic band round fingers

2) Then you place the handkerchief in that hand. With your other hand place the coin into the handkerchief.

...............................................................B) Place coin into handkerchief

3) Next, let the rubber bank slide off your fingers and onto the handkerchief, so it surrounds the coin and it is under the handkerchief.

...............................................................c) Slip band around coin

4) You then slid your hand up to the end of the handkerchief and shake it. This makes it look like the coin has disappeared.

But it is really stuck in the handkerchief, held by the rubber band.

Honestly, this is not a real magic trick. I would say it just a cleaver trick.

How can you perform it? First of all,

1) You ask someone if you can borrow $20 to do a magic trick with.

2) Then take your $20 of your own and place it in a box.

3) Then say "there is $40 in the box now, right?"

4) When they agreed, ask them if they would like to buy the box for a bargain at $30.

(many people will think this is a good deal since pay $30 and get $40 back)

5) Hand them the box, and run away as fast as possible. This is because you just made $10 from them

Three Jack Buddies

~ Three Jack Buddies

Let's talk about the effect of this magic. You will show your spectator three "J" cards and then you put one of the "J" cards on top of the deck, another on the bottom and the last one in the middle of the deck. After that, without any suspicious moves, you open up the top three cards of the deck and that are the three "J" cards. Really cool? Scroll down and learn the trick.

Before you start perform this magic, secretly you have you place all four "J" cards on the top of the deck. After that, you place another three other cards (i.e 4,5,6) on top of the four "J" cards. Now you can start the magic by showing three Jacks and make up a story about them being three best buddies and how they couldn't stand being apart.

Continue the story on how one day they were lost in the desert and the best way to seek help was to go in different directions. The first one went to the bottom of the deck to find his friends. The second one went to the middle of the deck and the last one remain at the top because he thought that they will go back to where they were lost.

Now, confirm with the spectator that he is happy that the jacks are well separated, then get him to cut the pack ensuring that the bottom half of the pack is put on top of the other half.

(This will bring the top and bottom Jacks together with the previously placed Jack)

The cards are then turned face up from the top off the pack eventually turning over three Jacks together near the center to the spectators amazement.

Now, conclude your story that in the end, they found each other and they lived happy ever after.

Tight Deck Pick

~ Tight Deck Pack

This is a very simple and easy magic where with a little bit of practice, you can master this magic. The effect of this magic is that ask a friend to shuffle a deck of card and ask him or her to choose a card and keep it. Then, ask him to place it back and then u manage to show the card he or she chosen. Unbelievable? See how it works :-

Materials : 1 standard card deck
standard card deck case ( cardboard box case )

1) Allow a friend to shuffle a deck of cards, then choose and keep that card as they hand the
rest of the deck back to you.

2) You place those cards and place them back in the case, leaving the flap open.

3) Ask your friend to place his/her chosen card back into case with the rest of the cards.

4) Hold the case tight as you friend places his/her card back in with the rest of the deck.

5) Turn your back to the audience, pull all of the cards carefully half-way out of the case, and you should see one card that is sticking out farther than the rest. This is the chosen card.

NOTE: Practice this magic on your own a few times before perform it especially how to find the chosen card after it is placed back in the case.

French Drop

~ French Drop
The effect of this magic is that you vanish a coin between your thumb and index finger. The instruction is listed at below.

1) First of all, you have to hold a coin between your thumb and index finger just like the picture.

2) Now, use your right hand to make a move as you are going to grab the coin.

3) Here, you have to drop the coin in your left hand to your left palm while your right hand is going to grab the coin. After that, quickly keep your left hand closed and remove your left hand and you show your right hand to your audience as you have grabbed the coin from left hand.

NOTE : Coin is still in your left hand since you have dropped without grab by your right hand. By doing this, your audience will probably think that the coin is in your right hand.

TIP : Practice is required before you perform it.

~ Torn And Restore

As usual, let's talk about the effect of this magic. A card is ripped into 4 pieces. However, once he spectator put his.her finger on the pieces and the pieces are magically restore back into whole card. Is this really cool? Wanna learn it? Follow the steps provided at below to learn about this magic.

1) Before you start to perform this magic, you have to secretly rip off one forth of a card which has the same suite and color with the card that you will use to tear off in front oft your audience later on. See the picture at above.

2) Now, you can start your magic. Hold a card facing in front of you and fold it into fourths , creasing the card and then unravelling it. After that, you can try to explain to your audience that the purpose you doing this so that the card is easier to tear. See the above picture.

3) You hold the car in front of you and facing your audience. You use your thumb to hold the extra torn piece onto the side of the card that facing you. Now, start to rip down the upper middle of the card stopping at the center. Next, you can fold down the upper right corner and slide out the corner that you ripped of in the earlier as the piece that was ripped of.
NOTE : By doing this, your audience can not see the real corner is still attached to the card. They will think you have ripped of the corner of the card.

4) Next, you have to put the torn piece behinds the card again. hold it with your thumb.

5) Now, you fold the lower right corner behind the card. While you are bending this piece back, slide the extra piece into view again in order to pretend to rip it off. Then, place tit behind the card and fold the card in half again. See the pictures at above and below

Secrets :

6) You pretend to rip it in half again but actually you just slide the loose piece off the pile convincingly to look like it has ripped. Place the piece behind the card which is now folded up.

7) Although the card is not ripped, however, you can fan the pieces to make it looks like three or four pieces. Now, you can ask your audience to place his/her finger on the "torn" pieces. While you place the pieces on table, you have to steal the loose piece with your thumb and hide it in your hand and put it back to your pocket.

8) In the end , you can ask your audience to check the card. They would found that the it is in one piece.

I find that this magic is a good self working card trick where you ask a spectator to pick a card form a deck of card. Then immediately you are able to tell him or her the card he or she has chosen. Amazing? View the tricks at below to learn this magic.

1) First of all, you ask a person to choose a card from a deck of cards. Now, you ask him to remember his/her card's numerical value (e.i Jack = 11 , Queen = 12 , King = 13 , Ace = 1 ) and its suite.

2) Now, you can start to ask your he/she a mathematics question.

3) Ask he/she to double up the value of the card.

4) Then ask he/she to add three to the total number.

5) Then multiply the total by five.

6) Once he/she is done, ask he/she to add the suit of the card to the total number.

NOTE : If the cars is a diamond they must add one

..............If the card is a club they must add two

..............If the card is a heart they much add three

..............If the card is a spade they must add four

7) Ask he/she to tell you the final total number.

Secret :

8) You mentally subtract the total number by 15 from the number he/she gives you. In the end, you will get a two figures number. Maybe three figures.

NOTE : The last figure indicates the suit of he/she card. (e.i diamonds = 1 , clubs = 2 , heart s= 3 , spade = 4 ) The first figure gives you the number of he/she card.

For Example : Chosen card is Queen Of Clubs

12 doubles is 24 , add 3 = 27 , multiplied 5 = 135 , add for clubs (3) = 138

You subtract it by 15 and you will get 123 which means Queen(12) and Clubs(3)

Jumping Coin

~Jumping Coin

As usual, let's talk about the effect of this magic before you learn it. 2 coins are placed on your left palm and right palm. After you quickly flip over your hands, 2 coins will be either under your left hand or right hand. Wanna learn it? The tricks are listed at below :-

1) First, lay the two coins on your palms just like the picture at above.

NOTE: The position of the two coins on your palms is very important. Place the coin that in your left hand near to the middle of your palm while the coin in your right hand near the thumb.

2) With one quick move, flip both of your hands over and slap them straight down onto the table or ground.

NOTE : The coin that in your right hand will get flicked across and went to your left hand while the coin in your left hand will remain in your left hand.

3) Now, you can start to ask your audience where they think the coins would be. I guess 70% of chances they will tell you that the coins still under each hand.

4) Now, show your audience where the coins are.

NOTE : Practice is required and the speed you flip the coins is very important. If you do it quickly, I am sure your audience will not detect it.

Cut And Restore

~Cut And Restore

The effect of this magic is that you display two pieces of banknotes and show them openly front and back to your audiences to see. Then, you place them back to back and cut through the center of the banknotes with a scissors. The banknotes is clearly and to be cut into 4 pieces. Now, without any suspicious moves, you open both of the banknotes to show the audiences that it has already restores to their original condition. Incredible? Read the below instruction.

1) Before you start to perform this magic, you need to do some preparation. First of all, you apply a thin layer of rubber cement with around half inch wide on the center of each banknote (which are almost similar new) just like the picture at below.
2) After it has dried, you have to apply for the second coat of rubber cement on the banknote.

3) Then, sprinkle a little talcum powder (or baby powder) on the cement covered area on each bill. Next, spread the talcum powder over the entire surface of the cement by using your finger or a soft brush.

4) Now, you will notice that the treated areas of both banknotes will not stick to each other due to the applied powder surface.

5) The pictures at above show that how you hold the banknotes without seeing by the audience before you start your magic. Square up both notes, make sure that the cement areas are touching each other.

6) Now, with your thumb and finger of your left hand as shown in picture 4 above, hold the both banknotes. Use your right hand to hold a scissors and cut through the center of both notes carefully.

NOTE : Make sure you cur within the covered cement areas. Done openly and deliberately, all the audiences will think that both notes are cut.

7) Then, put away the scissors, grip the halves on the right side of the cut in your right hand and the left side's two halves in your left hand.

8) with your thumb and finger of both hands, separate the halves of the notes just like the picture at below

Secret : This is because the rubber cement will make the halves stick together at the cut edges giving the illusion that the four half notes have melted together to form two complete notes once again.

Card Forces

~ Card Forces

The effect of this magic is that you ask your spectator to pick a card randomly and make them choose the card that you want them to choose. is this possible? Let's figure it out.

1) Just before you start to perform this magic, you have to select one card secretly which you want your audience to choose later. Now, your place the card that your selected on top of the deck. After that, you may tell your audience that you are now going to extract six cards randomly. Just like the above picture.

NOTE : Please make it clear that the turned face up card at above picture is the selected card. This card has been turned over in order to make the explanation clearer. You should turn the selected card face down while performing this magic.

2) After that, you extract the top six cards in two rows of three cards for each just like the picture at above. For this case, the selected card will be the third one of the top row.

3) Now, you can ask your spectator to choose one of the two rows.

NOTE : If he/she choose the top row, then u can say "OK, we keep this row" . But is he/she choose the bottom row, then u have to say " OK, we take out this row" . This is because you have to remain the row with your selected card.

4) After the step 3 , there is only three cards remain on the table. Now, you ask your audience again to choose two cards from this three cards.

NOTE : If he/she choose the first and second cards, then you remove the cards they choose. But if he/she choose the second and third (your selected card) cards, then you remove the first card and repeat this step again by asking he/she to choose one card form the two cards. The idea of step 4 is to remain your selected card only.

5) Now, you start to cut the deck and ask your audience to stop you and you place the selected card on the top of the bottom portion of the deck just like the above picture.

6) Then, you have to do a very useful move called "The Little Finger Break". By doing this, you can easily cut to it. This move consists in leaving your little finger over the selected card like the above picture.

7) Now, you riffle the deck and you may ask your audience to stop you in any place as the picture above.

8) You will stop the break once the audience calls you to stop.

NOTE : This requires practices before you manage to do it.

9) Finally, give the card that he/she calls stop (selected card) to him/her

In this section, I am going to teach you some simple magic where you can perform it and anytime and anywhere. All you need is a deck of playing card and some practices. As usual, without wasting time, let's get to the point. This section consists of "Pull Cards From The Air" , "Torn And Restore" , "Card Forces" , "Mathematics" , and "This And That" .

~ Pull Cards From The Air

Let's talk about the effect of this magic. This magic will make your audience feel amazing because they saw your hand is totally empty, but you are able to grab card from the air. All you need is a pack of playing card and practice. How does this magic works? The tricks of this magic are listed at below :-

1) First of all, you have to hold a small stack of cards in your palm just like the picture at above.

NOTE : You should not take too much of cards. Try to hold an amount of cards that you fell comfortable to be held.

2) Next, you have to use your fingers and thumb to grip the edge of the pack and to peel of the top card.

3) Now, you have to continue to move the card up to the audiences view by using your thumb. Remember hold it between the thumb and fore finger.

4) Do remember that when you are pushing up the card, your should lung your hand forward slightly so that the card is seen to be grabbed from the air.

5) Finally, keep produce cards from the air and remember to throw down each card that you grabbed from the air so that the audiences will not think that your are grabbing the same card.

Melting Coin

~ Melting Coin

For this melting coin magic, where will challenge your spectator that are able to use a 20 cent coin passes through a piece of paper with a 5 cent hold. Do you have any idea about how it works? Scroll to below and read through it :-

1) First of all, cut a piece of paper into a square shape. Next, try to cut a circle on the paper with a size of a 5 cent coin just like the above picture.

In this case, everyone will agree that only a 5 cent coin can pass through the hole.

2) Now, fold the paper in half and drop a 20 cent coin into the hole just like the above picture.

3) Try to bend the paper just like the above picture pushing the ends of the folded paper towards each other and the coin will fall through the hole.

NOTE : This is because most of people would probably think that a bigger hole is needed in order to let the 20 cent coin passes through it.
