Having just come home from work and an extra long workout at the gym, I'm hungry! It's pretty late though and so I want something delicious, but quick to make and healthful to my body. Chinese food is often considered healthy when you eat the vegetables, chicken or seafood, maybe with a little brown rice! Today, I noticed My Chinese Recipes for iPhone, and thought, "Hmmm, this may be a solution to my late night - what's for dinner - dilemma!"

The recipes are many and varied in My Chinese Recipes, and they were compiled by a true Asian who understands the background and preparation of healthy and tasty cuisine. The recipes are easy enough to make, and created especially to please the picky eater. What's pretty interesting is that every recipe is shown with a little bit of background about its name and history. This Chinese cooking iPhone app is simply but efficiently created with navigation just a matter of tapping on various tabs.

Recipes are separated into 3 sections which are Main Course (5 items), Entrèe (6 dishes) and Dessert (choices). Further, each recipe is divided into 4 sections titled Information, Ingredient, Preparation and Note. The last tab, Note, gives you helpful tips and information in the preparation of your special dish. This breakdown of recipes makes it so conveniently simple to begin your meal. If you know you have a couple items in your pantry or fridge, try selecting your recipe based on what you already have there so that running out to the store is not necessary. Though this app could use several more recipes, it's a good place to start if you are thinking of dabbling in Chinese cooking.

Alternately, to remove a channel from your Follow list, tap the Unfollow button next to that channel's icon. But, hold on here, these are not the only news channels!

You will see an arrow next to Channels which when tapped will provide you with a Categories list to further help you find exactly the news you seek. In addition to this long list which includes animation, automotive, business, comedy, cyber culture, movies, travel, etc, you will see Featured, Trending and Social videos. The Categories and Channels offerings are quite generous and you are probably going to find there is far more content here than you have time to watch! At any time, you may change your view mode to list or grid. Each video will have a short description underneath reflecting its content.

The Settings icon will allow you to connect with Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, in addition to signing in to your Frequency.com account if you already have one. You do not need to open an account in order to begin enjoying this app. However, if you also watch Frequency videos on your computer, then you will notice that this app syncs perfectly with the content there. In Settings, you may also set your Video Quality to either Auto, Low or High.

Some of the outstanding features that have me happily sold on Frequency as my video news collector of choice are: (1) all videos shared by my friends on Facebook, Twitter or YouTube are able to be seen here, (2) re-aligning channels in my customized Tuner is easy by dragging an icon to a new position, (3) using the Smart Channel feature (a collection of my favorite sources) is a cool time saver, (4) adding RSS feeds or video from any website is a super personal touch, and (5) excellent video playback is pure pleasure. As soon as I wrap up this post, I will resume watching the humorous video in top screenshot from "The Onion", one of my favorite channels. Enough said!

COOL CONCLUSION: An enormous collection of captivating, newsworthy and current videos along with a great deal of customization make Frequency the ideal video aggregator for your favorite news sources.

Are you an airplane watcher, and spend time parked out by the airport perimeter road checking to see what enormous, shiny, silver bird will pass overhead? Where is this mammoth plane headed? What type of aircraft is it? How high in the sky is it anyway?

Solution?

- If you have iPhone 4S, you can use Siri's magical properties to tell you all about these aircraft. Wolfram Alpha is a major search engine for Siri, and so Siri can easily respond to your question, "What flights are overhead?" You'll discover flight names, altitude, angle, type of aircraft and distance, along with a sky map.

For instance, you'll find out one of those jets overhead is a Delta Air Lines, Flight #1104, Boeing 767-300, at 37,000 feet altitude, 10 degrees up located at 39 miles north-northeast. Wow - that's a lot of intriguing (if not exactly necessary) information using the power of Wolfram. It's that simple to search your blue skies, once your Location Services are turned on in Settings.

We should never lose the open-mouthed wonder of a child gazing up at the sky in awe at beautiful airplanes. But now, we can add a little tech knowledge to the beauty we see!

This app is simple but effective at what it claims to do. With it, you can use your iOS device to control the playback of your Google Play music through the Chrome browser extension. It's very easy to set up and requires no tech-guru friend to help.

The Chrome extension displays a QR code that you scan with your device, and a connection is made between your device and the music player on your computer, all through your wireless network.

Once connected, the app on your device shows the currently playing track, album art, and various controls. Use the controls on the device's interface to control the playback of your music, enable and disable the shuffle and repeat options, etc. Whatever you do on your device is immediately carried out on your computer browser interface. Sit on your couch across the room and let the show begin!
