Beware that the bats will cause the loss of a life if you allow them to touch the spider or his glowing line. Your objective is to capture 50% of the screen in order to finish your level. You will note the % meter on the left of your screen marking your progress. If you scroll through the locked levels, they are labeled according to their theme content such as Welcome, Warming Up, Presents, Trouble, Snow, Fog, Night, Walls, Electro and Crazy Days. The design of each game level changes to include these types of obstacles. Darkness and fog be gone, for the spider can use a lantern to make his way through the murky maze! Also, don't forget to use the radar powerup for bad visibility on gloomy days!

We are a very social and high-tech generation. Almost everyone these days has several social network IDs, addresses, phone numbers and perhaps a website. There is a great deal of time and effort used to input all this data into your Contacts list when you need to store a business acquaintance, friend or family member's information. Question?

Perhaps you've been looking for a specific Voice Memo, Note or Mail, and so naturally you search for it using Spotlight Search (search function when you swipe to the left from your Home Screen). You will find on your display, loads of results covering all items on your phone, and it will take way too long to scroll through each to find the one you need. How do you speed up this search process?

Solution!

- Your iPhone is so easy to customize in many ways. So if you tend to use your Voice Memos more than anything else, for example, you will want to have those search results shown first when you use Spotlight Search. To arrange the order of results, go to: Settings, General, Spotlight Search where you will see all the categories of items on your phone. These include: Applications, Events, Contacts, Notes, Music, Videos, Audiobooks, Reminders, Voice Memos, Mail, Messages and Podcasts.

You can change the order above simply by tapping and holding the 3-line movable icon to the right of the category, and dragging it to your preferred position. Repeat the same steps to move the order of other functions which you may search the most. Tap and drag Mail to the top of the display or put it in 2nd place, if you wish. In this way, when you actually use your device's Search feature, the items displayed will be in the exact order in which you've customized them on the Settings page!

Go ahead and tap the microphone and wait till you see the words Connecting, and Start Recording. Begin speaking into the microphone and when finished, tap the mic again. Now touch the arrow icon at the right top of your screen, and you will see option buttons: Email, SMS & iMessage, Facebook, Twitter and Copy. Use any of these buttons to get your message sent where necessary. Each option will open the corresponding application right then and there to save time for you.

That's just how quick and easy it is to use Voice To Apps! I found the voice recognition iPhone app to be pretty much on target with what I actually spoke, and enjoyed staying within the app to open the various communication targets. When I think about it, I realize how much simpler life has been since using my new assistant, Voice to Apps, to take note of important thoughts and tasks.

Question?

You are used to typing with thumbs on your phone, and now have an iPad that is too wide for your thumbs to meet in the middle to type as you usually do. How can you make your thumb typing habit more accessible and easier?

Solution!

- Die-hard thumb typists have nothing to fear. In order to change your keyboard layout to accommodate your thumbs, once your native keyboard is up on your screen display drag TWO fingers from the middle of the keyboard towards each side of the screen. Your keyboard display will magically separate into two so that it literally touches either end of the lower screen thus making it easier for your thumbs to wrap around the iPad. Note that whether or not you are using landscape or portrait mode, the split keyboard function will work for you. To return the two halves to one keyboard, just take TWO fingers and drag or swipe each half your keyboard simultaneously from the outer edges inwards. That's it for now, thumb folks!

Need to get an Excel, Word or Power Point doc going while on the fly? Could mean the difference between a raise at your job or none, even perhaps gaining or losing a client! It's easy to create, edit or view the documents you need for these programs when you use CloudOn for iPad. This is a new app that lets you use the above applications easily, efficiently and just as simply as on your Mac or PC. The layout is almost identical and the files work well in the traditional format with which you are familiar. Some of the helpful iPad Microsoft Office features of this app are as follows:

- Use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint on your iPad to create or edit documents.
- Rename, delete and manage documents with your Dropbox account
- Display, edit or create charts, change formatting, spell check, insert comments, into any Word, Excel or PowerPoint files
- Track changes while reviewing Word documents
- Use pivot tables and insert formulas in Excel workbooks
- Display and edit animation or transitions in PowerPoint presentations
- Present in full PowerPoint mode (not in PDF)
- Open files directly from your iPad email accounts or Dropbox account
- Automatically save documents to avoid losing changes

On opening CloudOn, you are required to enter your DropBox account info or sign up for a new account as this app must use Dropbox to function. Files will be saved using your Dropbox account. The bonus is that your files are available whenever and wherever you need them.

I tried both creating and editing Word and Excel files. All the toolbars and functions I would use on my computer were available to me, and working with my docs was a cinch. There is a helpful demonstration prior to using the app on where to find the tools you need to get things working. Additionally, the Help center at cloudon.com fills in all the blanks should you have any questions. In reality, CloudOn is rich with features, simple to use and a real bonus to my work habits and flexibility in producing docs at any time.
